Difficult things are my shit. I sometimes feel like dying or somehow finding a way to cheat trough them, but I just sleep on them and I beat them the next day

I like how everything gets darker after the cutscene where Badeline tells Madeline that she's dreaming, then everything goes back to its normal brightness after the cutscene where she grabs the bird a second time.
I completed Farewell without using assist mode (not trying to make fun of the ones who used it) and I gotta say it was pure torture but *so* rewarding when I completed it (I was gonna legit cry). 17 hours (in the course of a week), 6125 deaths; pure torture. But it freaking worth it.
Have given around 30 minutes on the last screen and same for last 7c screen, but it doesn't feel rewarding to try hard those since they are so long... Might wanna pull through for 7c to check 8c out tho :/

Put down the game several months ago, stuck in the middle of this chapter and having three C-side left to complete as well. I should go back and finish it one of these days. It would be weird to call this one of my favourite platformers of all-time but also admit I never 100%ed it.

ScoopyDoo Golden strawberry and Moon Berry. Goldens can increase the strawberry collected count over the /# part. Since the moon berry was a secret and has a unique appearance, it doesn’t count as a normal strawberry and, like goldens can make the counter go higher than normal

ScoopyDoo Golden Strawberries are obtained by not dying once in a level. The moon berry is a secret berry in chapter 9 only. And there’s also a winged golden strawberry for beating chapter 1 A without dashing. Hope that clears things up.

Granny is dead and she is in denial the whole time until she accepts the fact that she is actually dead and moves on with her life. All of this happens in a dream until she accepts that granny is dead and wakes up.

honestly it was this last chapter that made me come to terms with a lot of things about myself, and overall allowed me to accept who I was. I still hate the fact that I have massive anxiety among other shit but... it's at least manageable.

My first, and only, 10/10 Game, with its amazing story, fantastic pixel art, very great gameplay, among many other things. It's one of the best controlling games I've ever played with accessible yet mechanically challenging tech with infinite possibilities, and way more that I have yet to learn. Finally, this game was the only one that made me feel something emotionally, it allowed me to take my frustrations and vent it without needing others, it showed me how mistakes are part of success, it changed how I think about who I am, it allowed me to accept myself and that I'm gay instead of trying to turn it away. One day I'll be able to make a true love letter to this game. but for now, this is all that will have to do.

What was that extra section in between Badeline's "say goodbye" line and the final Granny cutscene? Something to do with the strawberry maybe?
Yea if you have the golden strawberry there is an extra screen you have to beat
Imagine spending 20 or more straight minutes successfully navigating through this insane, pixel-perfect level and somehow not dying once. And once you think you've made it to the end, the game throws you one more screen that you had no prior knowledge about. (and is impossible to practice on its own without the berry) At this point, your nerves are off the chart, and the extremely intense pressure of losing all that hard work to this secret room looms over your mind, making this relatively easy screen very hard to do.

I don't think it makes it better or worse but it certainly gives some backstory to the character about her own personal struggles
I found out about Farewell several months after putting the game down, without unlocking Core. So I nutted up, unlocked Core, enjoyed Core, beat Core, and I immediately jumped into Farewell. I noped the f*ck out at the first puzzle.
And yes, I've heard that I needed to do the Side B puzzles to prep for Farewell, but I only found out over a year after beating Core, and I wasn't gonna pick the game up again to try.

@@clapkay Specifically I mean the cutscenes in the summit chapter. At the end of each section, you are lifted up by Badeline. While ascending, Madeline is surrounded only by light blue/pink/white streams.

I love this game's mechanics, the creator's positioning in which we play as a trans girl is legendary, and most of it's lore,
I'm giving it an 8/10, because the fact that it's all a dream takes away two whole points on it's own ngl lmao
I mean, only the Farewell chapter is a dream, She does canonically climb the mountain, and face a manifestation of her evil side.

Madeleine and the old lady didn’t seem to have this strong connection in the game
From chapter 1-7 they barely knew each other, but farewell is probably a few years after chapter 7, considering chapter 8 is canonically a year after chapter 7.
They at the very least had 1 year of off-screen interactions that we weren't able to see
