@@cerulity32k you can, it would be painful. it’s a pretty easy room though, it’s built so that you can realistically do it without any practice since there’s no other way to get to it
the intended path is down since you’re not intended to know jelly regrabbing or whatever it’s called and wavedashing until later. that one’s not as hidden as the rest though
That's a wavedash. It's taught to you about one third of the way through Farewell. To do it, you need to be a bit above the ground and dash down diagonally. Jump when you hit the ground. If you do it correctly, you'll dash very far and also regain your dash so you can use it again in the air. If you don't regain your dash, that means you were too close to the ground or jumped too early. If you don't get the long dash, that means you were too far from the ground or jumped too late. You can do the same thing in an easier way from the ground, if you just dash horizontally and jump right before the dash ends (shorter but more height) or crouch-dash and jump (exact same as wavedash)

If you mean the same part that's shown in this video, then it seems that you went through an optional shortcut that's harder than the main path (not a big deal, it's just one different screen, then it drops you back into the main path). You weren't meant to find any long jump like this yet. But the chapter is definitely hard, a huge step-up from the rest of the game. I just finished it today for the first time and was looking for easter eggs and secrets in youtube. Good luck!
to be honest i didn’t realize celeste even had screenshake until people commented about it, it’s probably annoying to some people because they’re used to playing without it
