Dammit, this was supposed to drop in the morning. Oh well. I really outdid myself on the copyright claims this time. You might see ads. There has to be like.....11 or 12 claims lol.
a bit off topic but you've mentioned a few times that you eventually want to get night vision, do you already have access to a 24 hr range in the area? I just recently got my nods and was wondering if you had any insight.
2 👍 Way Up from Young Beretta and I as we were watching from home on the 65 inch TV. I own the USP45 and HK45 and I Love them both. I have the USP in 9mm and 40 caliber New and Unfired from 2020. I may review them in 2022 or 2023, but they are on my list of things that need to get done. :) Thanks for sharing and Don’t Listen at all to any Haters out there. They can do themselves in their 9mm all you need Bullshit. 🤠👮🏻♂️🇺🇸👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. B9USA Sr.
A 1911A1 and .45ACP was what I learned to shoot handguns with and has always been a favorite. While in LE, I carried a Glock 21 and loved it. About 5 years ago, I happened to acquire a HK45 and that was a game changer. It really was the perfect combination of the 1911 slenderness and accuracy while having the durability and ruggedness of the USP. What is not to love? I had the factory update mine to lite LEM and couldn’t be happier! Now all I need is a tactical model for the can that is in tax stamp jail.
I respect 9mm, but have always preferred .45. My first handgun was the HK45 and it's still in my collection. It's awesome to see how many you have added over the years. One weapon I've always wanted to add is the MK23, and I'll have one soon enough! Cheers!
That's great to hear, the MARK 23 is something I'm glad I have. I'm not sure I would buy one again given the prices right now. But I don't know after having it so long that I could be without it. If I didn't buy one back in the day, I would probably be saving to get one now. I missed a unicorn on HKpro. They had a Tan MARK23 for sale and I was entertaining blowing my NODS fund on it. But it was just too expensive. I still think about it lol. It's just hard to part with Rifle, Suppressor, or NODS money for a pistol with everything I have in the safe. But if you don't have one yet, the MARK 23 is a solid add on, especially if you're going to run it suppressed.
Have had a 227 [got rid of it =regret] . I recently bought the HK 45 and it made my 220 tactical expendable. That 220 was uncomfortable to shoot .I would end up bashing my thumb on the slide stop and decocker. The HK 45 is a dream to shoot. The double action is no where near is bad as people claim. Sure its heavy when you dry fire it , but when you actually shoot it , you are able to be quite accurate .At least I am. Its the most accurate gun I own to shoot in double action. I never would have believed it before actually firing it. Good stuff , and beautiful guns my man. Peace
I've had similar experiences with the P220 and I honestly don't know why the P227 didn't sell as well. I wish they would do 1 more run so I could buy 2 of them. Or do a Legion run. Either way. You're spot on with the HK45 trigger. Doesn't always feel amazing when dry firing. But wakes up on the range during live fire. It always seems to be right where I need it, and the exact feedback I need when shooting strings.
I didn't know it was discontinued hmm. I wonder what the Pennsylvania state police are gonna do? waste thousands of taxpayers money on another handgun program like they did on the 45gap.? they switched from the gap to the 227 and basically bought handguns twice since 1 glock screwed them on armorer services and 2 they couldn't get ammo. so they scrapped that program and went to the 227 and now sig discontinued that. lol they shouldn't have gotten rid of their Beretta 96's
lol my buddy had the fn tac 45 and sold it for a 220 combat. i THINK he still has the 220 sas...so he SHOULD be able to switch the 220 combat barrel into it and shoot suppressed? havent talked to him in a while. after playing with my uspc-45 he bought a p30sk because he couldnt find a 45c
I have pretty large hands. Since the day I first shot a USP 45 it’s how I gauge comfort when shooting handguns. RIA 2011 is the only other handgun that I’ve shot that gun that gave me that same feeling. I’ve owned my USP for almost 2 decades now. It’s always gone bang when I asked it too. 12+1 should be enough for any situation I can think of and if not I have 2-3 more mags close by. If it fits your hand and it makes you want to shoot and practice more, then it’s the right weapon for you. I know there’s “better” out there. I found that 20 years ago. Cheers 🍻 Happy and safe range days to you all.
The USP45 and HK45 are incredible; I love mine. If someone leaves nonsensical comments, just ignore them; they do not know what they are missing. Now two gaps in your collection are USP45 Elite and Expert. The Elite is superb. One other thing you may want to check is the USP45 conversation slide to 9mm Elite. For me, it feels better in hand and is an even smoother shooter than the 9mm Elite.
I've only seen Elites in the gun case. I almost bought an Expert 9mm. I don't like the rear sight cut because I like fixed sights. But I might end up with one down the road anyway. Same with the USP45 Match, I want one of those something terrible as they say.
I try to use quality music. I put it in all of my descriptions. But one day I might make a nothing but shooting intros for the music flow Or something. We'll see. I know only a few people will appreciate it. But I have every single shooting intro saved in a folder.
Yep yep and yep!! On just about everything. USP 45T on my end. Also have a real USP 45 CT for its matching little brother. Though I did convert it to lite LEM. My other 45’s are the G41 and G30S. Another big brother-little brother set up. Also miss my P227. Next time I find I good used one I’ll buy it. Probably years and years from now. Though a 227 Legion would top it, if ever produced.
@@navyman8903 I like it a lot. Same gun as the G34. If you like shooting a G34/17 then their is no reason why you wouldn’t like the 41. Which is why I’ve commented to you about 8 times over the years regarding the 41 lol. I just can’t see you not liking it because I know you do like the 34/17. I actually would love to see your opinion and video on the 41 after owning one and putting some rounds thru it. Not to mention getting the mags for it is as cheap, reliable and plentiful as the 34/17/45 mags.
@@elliottbutts153 Dammit.....I'm going to end up with one and it'll be your fault. If it happens I'm going to make sure to blast you as much as possible for your comments over the years lol.
I know about the HK45 full size addiction, thanks for that. Own two. Really wish my tactical didn't have the tall nights, was under the impression they were Meprolights when I ordered it. 😞 I seriously think the trigger reach is better on the HK45 full size than the HK45 compact. The 10 round capacity doesn't bother me, carry extra mags.
Happy to help! :D I definitely prefer the shorter sights. I know some guys like them taller, but I like the POA/POI with the meps. The Trij HD's are tall enough to drop it down enough for me to miss sometimes/notice. I also think you're right about the trigger reach on the HK45 vs the HK45c, also the trigger geometry possibly. But the full size just feels so right. I also tend to carry 4 spares when I'm out and about. 2 reloads on body, and 2 more stashed in a bag or in the vehicle. The capacity thing could get hairy if things are bad like running into a gang area or something. But I haven't gotten into any shootouts. I've been blessed with situational awareness via my dad beating it into me growing up.
I know I’m fudalicous, but I love my 1911’s! If I wasn’t a 1911 fanboy, it would definitely be HK, because I love their quality, reliability, and aesthetics! You have a great collection and even more important, you shoot and train with them! Keep up the great work brother and stay frosty. Rick
Thanks brother, and I appreciate it. I do have a soft spot for 1911's, but I just have a lot of other goals. I might get a DW Specialist with the rail one day. We'll see. But it's going to be after the HK45CT.
@@navyman8903 for the money it’s really hard to beat Dan Wesson! If you decide you want to step up your game with a Nighthawk let me know I have a friend that works there and get a discount. Rick
That's awesome to hear. I've never had the opportunity to fire one, but I've heard great things. Same with the Expert. Thanks for dropping it and watching.
I love your vids and hope you keep creating! I adore my HK45 and HK45c. I also have a P30sk in 9mm and am hunting for a HK P30L in the V3 configuration (decocker only, no manual safety -- like my sk). I, like John Wick (LOL), am definitely not a fan of the LEM trigger. To each his own. Again, I'm a subscriber and look forward to your future content!
I love me some 45acp! 25yrds. and down the 45acp. is some of the most accurate pistol ammo produced. My 45acp. Les-baers are dead nuts on. Les-baer also offers 1" group 1911s with the range of 50yrds. for some extra $$$ of-course. We all know 9mm. is the perfect combat rd. but 45s are straight-up man stoppers and you haven't lived until you've shot a compensated high capacity 45acp. handgun. All that firepower with the recoil of a nine but the accuracy of a 357mag. / 38special and the close knock down power of a 44mag...👊🇺🇸🇺🇸💪
LMFAO, im about to subscribe. I love your sense of humor, brother. Wish we were neighbors! Talking up shop with you would be great. May God continue to bless you. ❤
YEEESSSSS! Spreading the good word!! Thank you! Just bought another case of .45 yesterday. Def a flex on the number of mags, but I'm probably doing it wrong with just 3. While I've been carrying my C a lot more, idk if I could get away with a fullsize or USP fullsize, guess I'll have to buy one and find out. A P227 Legion would 1000% outsell the P220.
I was definitely young and stubborn when I was carrying the USP45, then HK45 as the CCW. The 45C is a much better choice for a lot of reasons. I never drew it as cleanly and that first mag always gave me the "okay here we go" vibe. I knew I had to drive it harder so it took a mag to settle into the recoil impulse. But once I did I was good.
Sometimes I feel like HK should update their handgun lineup. it’s been a while since they have launched a hammer fired pistol. There’s so many things people did and didn’t like from the p30, HK 45, and USP lines that could be fixed to give us the best of both worlds instead of making us pick and choose.
I love shooting .45 but don't tend to carry one. If I were to carry a .45, the USP 45 would probably be among my first choices, if not my first choice. For how mediocre (being generous) the USP's trigger is, they're shockingly accurate and easy to shoot well in my experience. If you wanted a 1911 that actually works well, the Dan Wesson guns are amazing. Don't own one now, but I've found their 1911s to be the best non-custom grade 1911s on the market. If you go more expensive than Dan Wesson, you're likely getting some really diminishing returns.
I really love the HK 45acp guns. The triggers are by far mediocre, but my experience has mirrored yours. They shoot very accurately for me regardless. As for the 1911s, I would get a DW specialist 5" with a rail if I did get a 1911.
@@navyman8903 I imagine you'd like the specialist. With modern handguns being what they are, a single stack .45 without optics ready capabilities isn't what I'm interested in right now, but if I had to pick a 1911 for defensive use the DW Specialist with the rail would be my first choice. They make amazing 1911s, and I'm not really sure spending more money will get a better 1911 beyond just name recognition. The USP would be on my list of choices before a 1911 currently though.
Don't forget about Frank Grillo (Brock Rumlow - Captain America: The Winter Soldier), had a USP45 in The Purge Anarchy. Great H&K video. By the way I'm retired navy.
Well happy birthday when it gets here. They're great guns and very smooth shooters. The 45 Expert is rare, never get rid of it. Either of them, but especially that one. They're very accurate.
I don’t know who hates money more, you or me? HK is the best small arms manufacturer in my book. I own 10 of their guns. They are all epic! Great video!
They're really out of pocket. I'm not sure what they're doing. I've seen them buy up certain things from elsewhere just to be the only vendor with those items in stock, then of course they apply their pricing.
Perfect timing, I was just looking at a HK45 the other day, I've got a USP9 & a P2000, have shot a P30 quite a lot but never shot any 45cal HKs. I was leaning towards the HK45 before this video but now might go with a USP45, thanks
Loving your comments/insights on HK’s 45’s an under supported topic. I have settled on an HK45CT (LEM) in my carry rotation, I still like manipulating the USP45C more. Gonna have to work on carrying the full size USP45 this year as I:m able to carry my 226 with no issues (and is my main carry). Thank you for video and thoughts! 🙏🏼
If you can do a P226 then the full size HK45 or USP45 would be about the same. I'm carrying a G17 when my buddies are in town, or a P30 or P30L. I do have a G code holster for the Legion if I decided to carry that.
Another great video, I never understood how 10+1 capacity could make so many people sleep on the HK45/45c series handguns. Yeah it’s not “15+1” but let’s get serious most people are CC’in ultra compact 9mm handguns with comparable magazine capacities and a shit grip, but like you said” you do You Booboo” . Lol I was hurt when GT said it was ugly too. I own a HK45T , 45CT RAL8000 and a USP9T love them all but the 45CT hits different
Thanks man, I appreciate you watching. And you're right on the money with that. The most avid 45acp hater is telling everyone how good 9mms are, but is carrying a Glock 43. I do really need an HK45CT I think.
I think the problem is rather that the USP as older previous model has 2 more and is more iconic. HK should have designed the 45 with at least the same capacity. People are just crazy about capacity. On some reviews about the new Beretta 80X were many complaints about it holding "only" 13 rounds. Some even wrote like it would have 15 I would buy it. That is nuts.
@@Gieszkanne I get capacity, more is better but think 10+1 with an HK parts extended 14 round mag is enough, capacity is subjective, what can you live with? It really comes down to the a shooters proficiency. I hav a buddy I got into shooting that wanted to get an FN45T for CCW lol I advised him to get a 45cT and that the FN is enormous. he ended up getting the 45cT LEM and carried it for about a year on body AIWB then slowly moved it to a bag off body now he CCW a sig 365. “CCW” in theory sounds easy “put gun on hip” Ik I probably sound like a fud but my first carry gun was a full sized 1911 on a Caspian frame with an x300 back when RCS was the only company making light comparable CCW holsters, I’ve never had more than 11 rounds in my carry gun. And if your CCW .45 i mean really CCW , “every time you leave the house that gun on on your hip until you step foot back in through the door” I personally think 15+1 of .45 isn’t worth it haha and I live in Detroit MI.
I have the HK USP 45, HK45 and HK45c and agree the HK45 is the best of the bunch. As a reloader, my only complaint is the I've made a few batches of under-powered or over-sized length reloads that my HKs didn't like but I put them in my G21 and 30s and the Glocks ran them without issue. Not that I like the Glocks better but they are so much less picky.
Oh yeah, the HK's are definitely sprung tighter so the Glocks are good for that. I wouldn't mind it so much if Glock made a Gen 5.5 G21. I think they would be solid, it might also push me over the edge to add a G21 to the inventory. Or a G41. We'll see.
@@navyman8903 thanks for the response I just always felt like it was in the path of the concussion vibration in fireblast and it may cause issues in the future so I always tried to keep mine flush. But those sure fires are built like a tank
HK must have imported a batch of USP Elites. I bought one in 45 at a gun store back in December. The price was like $974.00, so about $1050 with tax. It’s a really cool gun and I thought it was ugly at first but it has grown on me. I bought it mainly because it caught me off guard and I thought they were rare.
Agreed, I really enjoyed it. The second season was meh for me. Not because Anthony Mackie did a bad job, it just had a much different feel. It was in line with what they set up in Season 1. But I just liked Season 1 more. Season 2 felt like an episode vs a season.
The 45c is such a nice gun. Little more harsh in the recoil department. But I think with a rugged suppressor in the short configuration would be the perfect compact 45 suppressed package.
Dude, awesome collection! Nobody realistically can knock HK in anyway other than the cost. You do get what you pay for though. This does feel like a flex video, but I approve. Only thing missing is a Metal Gear Solid reference for the MK23 and it does seem odd that a .45 guy like yourself doesn't have any 1911s. They aren't necessary, especially when you got all these amazing HKs, but it is out of character for an American .45 enthusiast.
Thanks man, I appreciate it. I'll probably get into 1911s once everything is bought and setup. I do have a soft spot for 1911s, but you're right, the HK45 covers that base for me.
Soon. I need some more shooting footage. I'm also doing the T5Xi, and trying to do a "Why even DMR?" video. So you might get sick of seeing it, and I have to change up the content drops, so it doesn't get over saturated or more boring than it already is.
@@navyman8903 I look forward to it man! I like the ‘philosophy of use’ videos, makes me think about why I run the rifles I do and what I may need to change.
Recently just picked up a 45c. I use to never like it because of the grip. I wish HK used the same ergo grip that the fullsize wears. Because of that, I never really liked the compact. But over the years as I started shooting with them. I started to fall in love. I enjoy the fullsize, but I cant carry it concealed. The 45c I can. Which is funny given that they're not too far apart in size. But the 45c is smaller JUST enough to be more comfortable & hidden.
The full size is definitely my favorite to shoot. But the 45c is a perfect carry gun. It just needs some grip tape. I can't bring myself to tape the HKpro 45c's, but if I get the 45CT then I'll throw some grip tape on it to make it better.
Lol it is fun to watch people try to talk smack on the USP45.....even HK has troubles replacing it. The HK45 was a great attempt and its just as good, but in a different way. The HK45 is easily the most ergonomically pleasing pistol I've ever shot......also yeah SIG needs to make a 227 Legion because id start running that in a heartbeat
Yes indeed. Everyone who initially talked trash on my USP 45 didn't after shooting it. I really hope SIG makes the P227 Legion, but I think 45 platforms have plateaued despite my feelings. Everyone is on the 9mm train, and I regret not picking up a P227 when I had the opportunity back in the day. But I also don't know how parts support is now a days though.
@@navyman8903 yeah, my 227 has become a safe queen for those reasons. SIG has a nasty habit of making something great before wiping all evidence of its existence. Im glad I was able to get one when it first came out, but as soon as they discontinued it, I pulled it from my EDC kit
Hey NavyMan, I keep looking over your .45 videos. I love the .45 ACP as well. I keep 'trying' to make myself love and carry my 9mms (i.e., VP9, VP9sk, P30, P30sk, and my USP Compact 9mm) more, but it is not working. I keep coming back to my 45s over and over. With you being a lover of the HK brand like myself would you say that there is an 'advantage' to just focusing on one specific caliber (i.e., .45, 9mm etc.)?
There is, especially with 45acp 230gr ball being viable. You can almost throw any 230gr in a 45acp and get things done, effectively. 9mm is solid for a lot of things, you lose out on the capacity of the 9 with the 45. But if you train and dedicate yourself to it, you'll be good to go.
@@navyman8903 Hey, thanks for the prompt response. My EDC is my 45c so I have plenty of training with the .45 and I carry 12 rd mags so capacity is not an issue for me either. Per watching your videos about it I'm just seeing that focusing on that one caliber (.45 acp) could be to my benefit in the long run opposed to bouncing back and forth with the 9mms. Sure, they serve their purpose but again, I may concentrate specifically on the .45 acp. Thanks for all that you do. You are a great HK inspiration. 👍😎
How do you feel about the USP Compact in 45? I had an HK45c I had to sell unfortunately and am wanting to get another but I realized I really like the checkering on my full-size USP 45 so I’m considering a USP compact.
The HK45 is so close to perfect. I just wish it was built around the USP45 mag (I don't mind the thicker grip) and the beefier build quality of the USP line. I'm very fond of the ambi controls and grip shape though.
So somewhat off-topic, but whatever. Most of my comments are anyway. So I have bright and tough sights on my HK45c and hate them. I typically put HD’s on most HK’s, except the HK45. Not sure why, but I don’t like them on that. What sights do you use on your HK45C’s? Maybe the HD’s might be good on the compact?
Worst thing I ever did was straight trade my USP 45 for a P220 Stainless Elite. I won in that trade and love the P220 but I've regretted it ever since. So that's why I bought another USP 45 last week and plan to hold on to that baby till I die then my son can have it.
I have no idea why Sig discontinued the 227, like I’m going to pay all that money for the 220’s low round count. If they came out with a 227 in 10mm I would buy it immediately. In .45 I’ll stick with the H&Ks
The USP45 tactical is a fantastic .45 Super launcher. It really tames the round, feels like the regular +P in my carry gun. With zero modification you can seamlessly run through mags of standard, +p, and super with zero malfunctions. Plus the threaded barrel gives the option for comp if you want it although it's not necessary unless you kick it up to .460 Rowland. The .45 Super setup is great for woods carry or anything you would want full power 10mm for. 10mm probably has the edge for penetration but with more than adequate penetration in it's own right I'll take the round that cuts a bigger hole. And the HK45 compact is a very efficient carry gun. The grip is a little slick, I put skateboard tape on the outboard side of the grip which makes all the difference without chaffing my love handle. But it conceals well and I find it very accurate and easy to shoot for a .45 compact.
@@navyman8903 I somehow managed to tape the HK45c very tastefully. It can actually look really good if you do it right. Most people who see it assume it's the factory stipling and don't realize it's a $5 kitchen table modification. Makes it both a comfortable pistol to carry with the smooth side and easy to shoot well with the grippy side. No regerts.
I also like people that say how great the FNX 45 is because of its 15rd mags but then complain how big and blocky the G21-41 and USP 45 are. When everyone that has owned or shot the FN 45 knows that gun also feels “blocky” in your hand. Lol. But don’t get me wrong the FN isn’t a bad gun. Needless to say I don’t have one anymore and have other 45’s I like better.
That's how I feel about the FN. I also don't like how thin they made the grip to get the 15 rounders in there. I also had to download 1 round to get the mag in there on the one I got to shoot at the rental range. I've taken it out a few times to try to like it. Shot just fine but.....just couldn't warm up to it.
@@navyman8903 Yes I forgot how thin the polymer is on the grip portion of the frame. Not that anything would probably ever be a issue but if you squeeze that grip is flexes more than any polymer pistol I have ever owned.
I still have to buy a hk45. passed up a nib fde:/. Definitely a agree though. the p227 being discontinued was pretty outlandish me and a few others where hopeful for a 10mm version (also looking at you fx45/fx10) a lot the reviews all seemed genuine and not sell out for the p227 and if they where anything like a p226 I can’t see why the 220 stayed. Let’s hope they make a return with this throw back era of metallic frame guns.
I completely agree. The 220's are not that great to shoot honestly. I know some guys like them and all, but not for me. However, anyone that had or currently still has a 227, loves it. They can't stop talking to me about it when I ask lol. I know some of them had some minor issues in the beginning. Something with the extractor or something. I forget. I'll have to look it up, but a P227 Legion would kill I think. But who knows with today's market and mindsets. But to be honest with you, given all that I just said there, you would think the P220 would be out of the running.
@@navyman8903 yeah today market is 9mm,micro 9s and calling 45 a fud round. Hopefully sig will give their consumers what they want p227 legion and Hopefully a double stack version of the p210 carry. Fingers crossed 🤞
@@governmentcalamari9785 That would be choice. Anyone calling it a fud round hasn't fired it suppressed or seen how hard a 230gr ball or HP hits something lol. That Paul Harrell video cleared a lot of that up.
I failed to put the suppressor footage in there but the HK45 is a great suppressor host. The capacity isn't the best but still enough to get things done.
From some videos I have seen it looks like ths HK45 shoots significant flatter than the HK USP 45. Normaly newer models have an increase of capacity here you have even a decrease. I think the HK45 would be more popular if it would have at least the same capacity of 12 shots like the USP.
I was thinking the other day who my favorite actor may be. Never thought of Tom Cruise but he might be and I just don’t want to admit it lol. Mostly because I like a lot of his movies.
@Elliott Butts dudes a solid actor and dedicated to his craft and insists on doing all his own stunts and firearms training. he came off insurance a couple times for firearms training. Jeremy Renner did the same thing for hurt locker. came off insurance to take high risk civilian contractor course at T.R.. All the haters can go to hell my brother. As I've said before, you're right on track with these pistols. Reliable, exceptionally built, accurate, and not for haters who are cheap sons a bitches. Semper Fi!
Hey dude, i see you got the GG&G rail adapter on your USP 45 tan. You have any issues with it sliding forward after a few shots? I’ve applied blue loctite and torqued the screws down pretty good and it hasn’t helped. I got a Surefire X300U-B on there. Used to run a TLR-1 HL and didn’t notice an issue. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
I haven't had that issue honestly. I'm shocked to see the Loctite didn't help either. That's throwing me for a loop. How are you tightening it on there? I do hand tight then a half or 3/4 turn with a screw driver.
@@navyman8903 I used one of those multi hex tools and cranked both sides pretty hard. Almost to where I was concerned about stripping the screws. It’s happened enough for the GG&G rail to start gouging the front of the USP rail. I posted on HK Pro about it and another user said he had the same issue. I think he said the HK Parts adapter didn’t have the issue. Just bummed about my damaged frame now. 🤷🏻♂️
The Old Guard (Netflix) has a good guy using the HK45 on screen for about 10 seconds. Also, the HK USP Compact two-tone is featured. I've owned the USP 45, the HK45 and the HK45C. Compact is definitely my fave. Gonna get another HK45 I think and use it as my bed side gun.
Hey, not related to this specific vid, but I have a pair of questions. 1, will we be seeing more flash hider comparisons (i.e. SF 3p vs 4p) and 2, on the closed tine NON warcomp flash hiders, do they leak gas more than the open tine/brake? I ask because the non comp ctn flash hider doesn't have the warcomp ports that could cause leaks, but also doesn't have the labyrinth seals either.
It's on my to do list once I have all of the cans, nods, and geat I need. I have all of thr HK45 colors minus the full slide/frame ones. I left a full ODG HK45 in NY I have to retrieve.
hey dirty dolphin thanks for the upload, just got my first firearm(p30l v3) appreciate all the good intel from you, was truly helpful in narrowing down what i wanted. wondering what your opinion is on the p30/vp9 compensators sold on the hk webshop (i believe they are made by pmm but sold by hk)
Glad I could help! They're great guns. I love my P30L. I'm hunting down another V3 so if you see one, give me a shout. The comps on their website are good quality, I was thinking of getting one, but haven't prioritized it with everything else I have in progress. I might get to it one day soon. We'll see.
There is a guy that sells HK comps on eBay.. "immholdings" , Aaron, very nice to deal with... I got one for my P30SK, very well made, and now can run a surefire under it...
This is like asking you to pick your favorite child. Love them all. Want them all. They all work very well. Now I guess I need to add a 45 to my lineup at some point. Thanks for being an enabler 😝🤣. If I had to pick one I’d probably go with the USP 45 or maybe the HK 45. For me I’d never ccw a 45, too thick for me. This would be duty and range only.
I have passed on the MK23 twice. I opted for the USP45 Tactical. The MK23 is bigger than my head, and is a crew served handgun. I also have the HK45 Tactical, HK45C Tactical and USP 45 Elite. Also have the FNX45 Tactical and, believe it or not, a Walther PPQ 45. I agree with you on the HK45-The HK45 Tactical fits me so well. May I ask why you don’t like suppressor height sights? I can’t see my sights over my suppressor without them.
I just shoot through the can, idk why my brain works like that to be honest. I also don't like red dots on pistols unless they're being used under NODS. The MARK23 is huge, there's no getting around it. But it's a blast to shoot once you bite down and grab on for the ride. It is incredible how tame it gets with the suppressor. Completely different animal. How's that PPQ 45 treating you?
@@navyman8903 Appreciate your thoughts on the MK23. I have always been intrigued by it, but still trying to justify the price over the USP45 Tactical. As far as the PPQ 45-it has an absolutely amazing trigger for a striker-fired pistol. One of the Walther reps I talked to at a show said it had their best trigger. I still like the Q5 Match trigger a little better. I am an HK fanboy, and I readily admit it. However, the PPQ45 is definitely worth a try, if you get the opportunity. I was lucky enough to snag the LE edition with great night sights and 3 mags (12 rounds). If I had to pick 1 of my 45’s, and probably 1 of all my handguns, I would opt for the USP45 Tactical. Although the HK45 has that P30/VP ergonomic grip, I think the USP is the most durable of all. Unless I break down a buy a MK23. I would love the SOCOM soft case with the LAM and suppressor. By the way, I am retired Navy myself. Maybe one day we can bring our handguns to the range for a day or two. I am in NC, but can travel with notice. Just not driving to or through any states that do not have reciprocity with NC CC permit.
@@navyman8903 I have astigmatism, so red dots don’t work for me. Prism or LPVO optics for my old man eyes. Until someone figures out how to make a prism optic for a handgun.
I would consider HK if I were looking for a duty gun , kind of like my 1911's I love to shoot them but they are not my carry or nightstand gun carrying concealed I know I would give up on them but I would have a HK as a nightstand gun or just a fun gun to have to shoot like my cz shadow 2 orange if I could shave about 20 ounces off that one I would find a way to carry it.
@@navyman8903 that's kind of the way I am with HK I have my 1911's Cz , bennelli's I cant afford another hole to go down, but I probably will they are a pretty good investment.

What is your opinion of the USP 45 Expert? I would say it combines the best aspects of both the Mark 23 and the 45, a sort of an evolution if you will.
Hey Navyman. Got a question. I picked up a 45c thanks to your reviews etc... Thabks for all the Info. My middle finger knuckle ( aka glock knuckle) was killing me only after 50 rounds. Any suggestions? Would the small mag release benefit me? Quite disappointed at this point.
That's interesting I've never run into that issue before. Everyone is built different so it's hard to recommend a change. I would have to see the contact points. You mind emailing me at my username on UA-cam at Yahoo with some pictures?
I don't think so honestly. Let me look into it, but I don't think so. I think the closest hack there is out there is an SAO mod. But let me look around. I would want at least a decocker personally, like the P30. Not having anything works in LEM, but the DA/SA I'm not sure.
@@navyman8903 oh yeah the p30 decocker is just nice. I just dont like safety levers, I wish they made one that has the p30 style decocker, that would be sweet.
Dude, how could you pass on an OD Green USP? I really hope everyone starts making more guns in green. Black is dumb, and FDE is okay. But for the average American or even German/Austrian, OD Green makes way more sense considering the terrain most live in. Not that it'd make much of a difference on something as small as a pistol, but still.
Dammit, this was supposed to drop in the morning. Oh well. I really outdid myself on the copyright claims this time. You might see ads. There has to be like.....11 or 12 claims lol.

Thanks for dropping by, I appreciate it. The 9 and 40 are solid performers. I miss my USP9 SD a lot.
Yes indeed. I too learned on 1911s growing up. So I will always have a soft spot for them.

Hello, Fren.
Well hello there Fren.
Cheers 🍻
Happy and safe range days to you all.
So glad I got a USP in .45, it compliments my HK45C and my MK23. Excellent firearms.
You should make a spotify playlist, your intros are always bangers
Everyone is in the comments talking about their G41s and I had me researching them all night. How do you like yours?

Thanks brother, and I appreciate it. I do have a soft spot for 1911's, but I just have a lot of other goals. I might get a DW Specialist with the rail one day. We'll see. But it's going to be after the HK45CT.

Les Baer is also a class act. A well made 1911 is the pistol equivalent of a precision bolt action in the right hands.
I will always have a soft spot for the USP 45 in my life. I have moved onto custom 1911's, but do shoot the USP still sometimes.
The USP45 is just so smooth. But I get it, custom 1911s are solid.

Another great video, I never understood how 10+1 capacity could make so many people sleep on the HK45/45c series handguns.
Or a G41. We'll see.
What do you think of the USPc in 45? I did not like my special forces 45 compact HK. Too p2000 for me
Great video!! I guess I don't really understand the end of the flashlight sticking out two and a half inches past the barrel brother.
Just how it indexes on the gun. IT's only a 4.5" barrel. It would be flush on a 5-5.25" barrel.
@@navyman8903 thanks for the response I just always felt like it was in the path of the concussion vibration in fireblast and it may cause issues in the future so I always tried to keep mine flush. But those sure fires are built like a tank
Because of the enlarged trigger guard the light sits further past the muzzle.
HK must have imported a batch of USP Elites. I bought one in 45 at a gun store back in December. The price was like $974.00, so about $1050 with tax.
@@navyman8903 Yeah, all around smart practical purchases. Rock on! \m/
I am still (patiently) waiting to see Harambe…
@@navyman8903 I have a Hogue on it currently. But I've been thinking about getting stippling done instead of tape.
@@Peylix I'm always nervous about it. But if the dude knows what he's going it's the way to go.
@@Peylix dawson's super aggressive
@@Raider214 Probably the smart move for sure. You put it perfectly how they make things disappear after discontinuing something.
I have never seen a usp in fde, that is sick.
HK made a limited run back in the day of ODG, FDE, and urban Gray.
Another great video. Keep them coming. BTW what holster do you use for your Mark23? There are so very few choices.
I have a Safariland 6004 for the USP45's and HK45, all I could find for the MARK23 was a Safariland 6005.
The Safariland 6005 and a few custom leather holster makers is all I have found. Thanks for the reply.
The USPc is solid a lot of guys like it. I prefer the HK45c myself as you know. But the USPc 45 is a solid performer.
The HK45 is so close to perfect. I just wish it was built around the USP45 mag (I don't mind the thicker grip) and the beefier build quality of the USP line. I'm very fond of the ambi controls and grip shape though.
Ahhh, I can smell the smoke....🥰 .45's especially hk, is bae ❤️🔥💯💢
Yessir!
The HDs are tall on the P30/HK45, almost suppressor height. You can deal with the height over bore, or you can run the stock MEPS.
Worst thing I ever did was straight trade my USP 45 for a P220 Stainless Elite. I won in that trade and love the P220 but I've regretted it ever since. So that's why I bought another USP 45 last week and plan to hold on to that baby till I die then my son can have it.
The USP45 is a great pistol, I agree you got a more expensive gun. But the USP45 is truly something special.
Good video as always. Keep up the good work Brother.
Thanks man I appreciate it!
Still waiting on you to get a Glock 19X. Lol
Love this, great video! Jonesing for a .45 now.
Thanks man, and you can't go wrong with any of these.
Completely off topic but it drives me nuts when I see immediate blood splatter on the wall after a dude gets shot in a movie.
Thank you for this vid brother. Great! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you for watching. I appreciate it.
Completely agree and good info. I can't bring myself to tape up the HKpro pistols, but when I get a MK24 I'll definitely get some tape on the grip.
No regerts.
@@quietus13 I might break down and do it one day.
If you had to choose between a usp 45 lem or hk45 lem, which one would you pick?
For LEM I would pick the HK45, for DA/SA the USP45 with the Match trigger kit.
@@navyman8903
Yes I forgot how thin the polymer is on the grip portion of the frame. Not that anything would probably ever be a issue but if you squeeze that grip is flexes more than any polymer pistol I have ever owned.
@@elliottbutts153 Yeah man, it almost felt like rubber to me. IT was like they relied on the metal magazine for the rigidity.
You try any of the plus 5 extensions for the USP45 from hk parts? 17 rounds is insane.
It's on my list, but I haven't picked one up yet.
Me and I’ve been debating that HK 45T for a while. The 10 rounds sucks. I love HK stuff though
I failed to put the suppressor footage in there but the HK45 is a great suppressor host. The capacity isn't the best but still enough to get things done.
I have 2 of the USP Compact .45. I need to add the USP .45 to the family.
From some videos I have seen it looks like ths HK45 shoots significant flatter than the HK USP 45. Normaly newer models have an increase of capacity here you have even a decrease. I think the HK45 would be more popular if it would have at least the same capacity of 12 shots like the USP.
How does the hk45 feel to the vp9?alittle thicker? and does the 45 still come in green?
Yes and yes, but you have to find it.
I love the HK45 but I wish it didn't have that trench so might get that taken out at some point
he may be a fruit loop but Tom Cruise trained his ass off for that movie and scene and the hk usp will forever live in cinema
Agreed on all counts.

1 is in the works but is a logistical challenge for me. 2. I will test soon.

It is like that. They all do things well.
