Well forwarding on my comment I'm gonna rant in sections because there's so much to this I mean shit what happens if...I'll just leave my theory in the comment section 🤣 great video choom as always some info I knew some I forgot and perspectives that open the mind!!
So I wonder why misty gives V the pills to free the demon meaning release Johnny misty I believe too knows more than what she leads on what did these monks tell her?....
This is why CDPR needs to activate braindance material. There is so much lore that is untapped, that could be told from braindances. Being able to play through a braindance for something like this and gaining intel would be immersive. It has been said that a lot of activity in DOGTOWN has to do with smuggling goods in and out. It would make sense that Kurt Hansen had a solo mission outside of Dogtown.
I wonder if we will get to see the Lazarus agents actively involved. It's odd that they're active yet unseen during 2077. Must've been a concept they didn't have time to add. Yet with the new open world events, we might see them
@@LayedBackGamers True. Again; untapped lore that could have been content. I am praying that CDPR doesn't try and slam so much into Cyberpunk 2 and we end up getting the same results of 2077's launch. I feel there is still room to do a second expansion. Much of which could be stemmed from the new graphic novel "No Coincidence". Connecting V with those characters would make a great DLC-Expansion involving Militech. Possibly a great opportunity for them to add the NC Subway system.
This IMO is the biggest ball CDPR dropped with this game, they could have hired a ton of animators or smaller creators to create some crazy short videos, weird clips or like you mentioned exposite lore, they proved It can be done because you find a watchable BD that shows the intro to edgerunners in the David Martinez side quest, you can't just introduce a tech concept like this and not utilize it.
@@cecollins68 What I find even weirder, is that the new expansion presents ideas similar to this. For one you can find a lizzy wizzy concert BD, then you can also take a drug to hallucinate a whole questline. Yet won't reuse this concept to play out BD quests? It would be very easy little missions.
Lazarus was more directly a mercenary company. Lazarus does not provide day-to-day security or even garrisons. They are contracted to resolve specific campaigns and situations. Hiring an armoured platoon is expensive.
While they initially focused on operations, they most definitely began running Day to day security during the fourth Corporate and had replaced Arasaka during the time of red in Night City.
@@LayedBackGamers You could play hapless goons in the corp war during a campaign, and see how corporate structures buckled when faced with scarcity and chaos. The US federal armed forces are still around in a different form. They're more like self-contained battle groups than branches. They're still one of the forces of the continent built to wage prolonged war.
A few years ago I decide not to Re-enlist back into the Air Force . My job was building and maintain network infrastructure. I loved it, I was good at it and my team loved it too. We essentially spent 4 years reconstructing, expanding and fine tuning an operational network for our airbase. Literal blood, sweat and tears were thrown into the system to make things work and allow our fighters to fly. The last year of my enlistment, turned out that the Air Force was phasing my career field out. I watched as my entire squadron was disbanded, retrained and retooled for another purpose. Worst of all, I saw my what I considered my life’s work get handed to a bunch of dudes in polo shirts and khaki pants. I had no ill will towards them by any means, but what loyalties do the corporate help desk jockeys have to the people down range? People who volunteered to be here? Cyberpunk really scares me due to the amount of power PMCs have. Watching America throw billions of dollars to Lockheed Martin to produce a 35 million dollar plane that they don’t even want, left me baffled. Then we get phased out and replaced by a suite and tie. I know those corporation don’t care who’s down range and who’s lives are at stake. As long as they stay chummy with the government, their wallets stay fat. I ain’t saying our military is all that and pure, but I’ll end myself the day I see something like Militech or Lazarus become the defacto military for this country. I mean who do you trust more, volunteers willing to risk it all or mercenaries wanting a quick hazard pay.
Most of those contractors are prior service though, maybe if the gov paid us more and stopped treating us like garbage there wouldn’t be so many guys ETSing and going private
@@devdoes you only get paid like shit E1-E3. Housing allowance, medical treatment, paid leave, dependency pay, paid holidays, untaxed hazard pay for certain deployments. There’s a reason why some folks stay in for 30 years.
Its not. There are ads for the arasaka smart smg and shotgun but they are poster. Spent about 1h before i heard it. Its a collect enough point to earn a lazarus rifle
Cyberpunk lore is based loosely on our political references but it has twists and turns that shake us off. It’s unique and unexpected. Doesn’t follow through with just a transhumanist agenda or an anarcho capitalist narrative but it is both yet neither and the civil wars hold it together.
Hmm, I’d say that Lazarus is the most specialized corporate military, but not exactly the best if we account for practical issues such as logistics. They’re not self-sufficient in their ability to arm themselves, so they’d need to find an ally willing to manufacture gear in the event of an all-out war. Case in point, the amount of stuff they buy from Militech in the sourcebooks.
They definitely have some of the most professional and elite operators, but they are supplied primarily by Militech. While they don’t necessarily have a top dog equivalent to Smasher like Arasaka does, they’re highly trained and highly cybered when compared to the standard foot troops of other militarized corps. They’re more analogous to a rent a special forces group, where your standard operative is closer to a MaxTac agent than a militech or Arasaka foot soldier. Could they defeat Arasaka or Militech in open conflict? No, they’re too small and logistically vulnerable. But I’d put a platoon of Lazarus operatives over pretty much any other state or corporate military’s equivalent formation.
