Both base and output on the gamer are at 1080p. I was told that I would get the best performance out of OBS and NDI with these settings and that these settings are optimal for twitch but they just seem "off" to me? My BR for both is 6000Kbps. Shouldnt everything be at 1080p on BOTH machines? Base and output? And Bicubic 30 fps for both. Just curious and thx in advance for any advice.

If i minimize obs from second monitor or if i have obs on main monitor the problem FIX and the game its very smooth ! Why that happen and how can i fix it? I read a lot of forums with the same problem but nothing solution.

I have a good PC and the GPU/CPU usage doesn't even go past 40%. But somehow the second I press record, my game feels slow and input laggy.

Useful video. Can you explain how to fix lag when OBS is used in Zoom? People tell me that when I use OBS for Zoom, there is a video lag relative to audio. The Zoom situation is different from live streaming.
How are you moving the signal to zoom? When I say signal I mean the video and the audio. If they are not both being carried by the same signal. Ie NDI there is a chance they will be out of synch.
@@MichaelFeyrerJr The audio mix is a Blue Yeti that is plugged into a Sony ZV1 via the mic jack. From there the combined signal is put through Zoom via HDMI and a CamLink 4K into OBS. And from OBS to Zoom it's via the CamLink audio out and the OBS Virtual Cam for the video.
The issue has to be the sync between the 2 virtual sources. Can link audio is real time. Virtual cable is processed. That why ndi from obs is better. It carries both processed audio and video together.
taking advantage of the fact that I'm here to ask... Normally I use the inboard ( Intel QuickSync H.264) solution to encode the transmissions, is there any problem on using a offboard card to play games and the inboard ( don't know if it's the right term, i'm only a "little brazilian" 😅) to encode?
It is no problem. Just be sure to test so you know it works properly. Using your graphics cards video encoding will not effect the game as much as using the cpu and x264 though. The encoder was basically designed to do this. X264 is for folks that don’t have a graphics card encoder.
I have a Macbook Pro 15 inch 2017 i7 16GB ram and my OBS lags like hells, CPU goes to 95% usage with only OBS and skype for guests. What can be the issue? I am not able to stream live properly. Last 2 lives have been really choppy and laggy across. NEED HELP!
The problem in a nutshell is Mac. There is no graphics card encoder to do any of the work so the cpu has to do it all and run the machine. Macs do this particular task really badly. And sound like a jet taking off while they do. I wish there was better news but that’s the truth. I can’t use my Mac to stream either. You can use the tactics in this video to reduce the encoding load on the machine. They do work. But inevitably Macs are not a good live streaming platform.
do you know why when i record the same think but on 2 different computers and settings look the same but one only fill 1gb and other fill 6gb ? cant seem to find out why. and also sometimes when i try record something it is just black screen but with subtiles but on other computer it record it but just take up much more space like a 1 hour record fills like 4 gb
You could have different file types selected, different bit rates or encoding methods. A cbr file will be much larger than a vbr file because of how it’s encoding. There are a lot of potential reasons for the issue. Hopefully this video will give you a better understanding of what those thing do.
What if the issue isn't in OBS but youtube? for instance my stream although OBS states it's good with 0 lost packets, or frames my stream has a weird stutter to it every so often. I read somewhere it's because my monitor is 144Hz and the game on console is 60Hz however changing the monitor to 60Hz while I stream made little difference.

I dealt with lag on my videos because I was using a iPhone as my video camera and I used WiFi to computer vs hardwiring it. And boy oh boy when I hardwired the iPhone to the pc the lag completely stopped. I would never advise anyone to use the wireless network for a web camera. Great video thought I always learn something when I watch your videos.
In the facebook when live, The audio goes slow and fluctuate....Once the FB live is over, The video is perfect. Why this phenomena happening ???? I triend all the above . Still in one hour live, few minutes, the song audio and video goes out of tempo... and fluctuate.
If I had to guess I’d say you are streaming to Facebook in 1080. Facebook needs a 720 signal or it re encodes it on the fly and well you know the rest.

None of these settings apply in Ultrawide monitor streaming he mentions at all. Aspects rations of 21:9 or 43:18 (
i always wonder can you add more bitrates than the recommended, even your pc and internet can handle it for better quality?
Adding more could lead to the platform having to re-encode the video for its formatting which could actually lead to worse quality.

Handbrake takes a little time to learn, but is FREE, and can transcode just about anything to just about anything.

Ah so it’s something within the actual live encode. Try testing different bit rates. If you get it just right it may clean up the issue.
