this is the cleanest Patrice material he ever wrote lol
this is the cleanest material Patrice ever wrote lol
That's why they had to dig so far back in the past.
Also the skinniest I've ever seen him
Nice profile pic. Got me started REAL good!
And dressed accordingly.
Wife dragged me to his show just before he died. Didn't know much about him and didn't expect too much. it was one of the funniest comedy shows I've ever seen. And what a nice guy. After the show he was going to the crowd talking to people and I put my hand out to shake his and he turned away to someone else so I sat down. Next thing I know he taps me on the shoulder and says "I saw you, brother" and gives me a big hearty handshake.
Left us far too soon.
cool of him
Wow so jealous and makes me miss the guy even more
Such a dope story bout Patrice
100
That’s an oddly beautiful story.
One of the coolest things Patrice would do is he didn't seem like he was ever trying to rush the joke. You might think he's in an awkward silence, and then boom punchline. He let his jokes breathe
That's something him and his good friend Bill Burr really excel at. They both are comfortable with silences, and actually play off of the audience's discomfort.
You’re right! He’s like pacing!
Yeah he would have his jokes in his back pocket and let them come out organically
Absolutely! Just a master of the art of timing in comedy.
That’s the key to comedy. Don’t be afraid of silence
Man...the amount of great specials we could have gotten from him..one can only imagine..
I know right.. He would have had so many great specials by now. I watched elephant in the room the other day for the first time and I am sad there is not more.
He has about 200 specials go watch O and A every episode he on feels like a special
@@portorock5227 ive listened to a lot of opie and anthony patrice youtube videos that are highlights. should i listen to full episodes??
I don't want to bum everybody out but I think he would be all over politics talking about imaginary opression and all that bs...something like chappelle is right now
@Roughman I wasn't talking about PC culture I was talking about rich priveleged people playing victims and pretending some one is out to get them
The man said "Malcom XXL" 😂😂
RIP the greatest to ever do it.
Defs the part where I burst out!!
The million pound march
Million pound march got me..... 🤣
They posted this four days after the anniversary of his death and four days before his birthday. Nice touch.
Yep if you know you know
Died exactly 10 years after George Harrison.
Having Norm Macdonald and Patrice O'neal on their channel. Okey Conan, you got me. I'll like and suscribe I guess.
What is the significance of the 4 days? It must have a meaning
I did not know he died dang
“You ever seen a black man giggle?”
Shoutout to Ron Funches.
That fellas giggle is super contagious!
He even looked like Ron a bit when he giggled lol
Idk man the face he makes always had a sinister tone to me.
Ron exchanged his black card for white acceptance long ago...
@@roughdiamonds9841 brutal. You think he's lying about liking comics and wrestling to get the white nerd crowd? Or is this just cause he's still raising his kid?
He looks like he just came from the Banana Stand.
Oh most definitely.
There's money in the banana stand
@@sanbalestrini Why would a banana want to grab another banana?
We throw away a banana for every buck we take so no one finds out.
I’m so sad he didn’t live long enough to read this and have to burn that shirt.
Patrice is the one guy I think of whenever something crazy happens in the news. I just want his take so badly. RIP big man
I personally care more about what ja rule thinks
Which topic? I can give you Patrice's angle

RIP. He was a comedy legend and is still missed
💯💪❤
We need him now more than ever. One of the best to ever do it.
He's literally the Avatar
One of the best
For the 10,000th time
@@frame-perfectadskip9159 *For the 10000th time it needs to be stated
right on, brother !
Weird seeing Patrice doing clean material
Still able to kill it whether its clean or explicit. One of a kind.
You could see him fighting the urge to be vulgar.
Good. We need more clean comics that are actually funny. I know he wasn't but that would be one heck of a feat ...
In that bit with the friend, that owes him money, he almost slipped I think
Conan telling Patrice at the end: "You are great!" .. just warms my heart
His “Elephant In The Room” special is perfection. A remote-dropper, like the movie “Goodfellas.”
Completely accurate.
Masterpiece
From the jump. Audience Coordinator set the tone and it never let up.
@@AustinLindstrom thank you, audience coordinator, for a particular pair of titties in the front row 😁
@@LuG8911 Oh, y'all here?
I wanna hold your hand after threatening someone who owes you money is actually kind of hard
its tarantinoesque
it's cute of him to dress as a yellow submarine just for this joke.
Read that in Jim Norton's voice
He’s a sunrise
@@govindkrishnan6839 Oh, Chip...
My first thought was that sounds like something I’d hear on O&A back in the day.
A yellow tubmarine
Associating with Bill Burr, Norm Macdonald, Nikki Glaser, Patrice O'Neal, and Bert Kreischer demonstrates how different Conan is from other late night hosts.
Not to mention all the exposure he gave to UCB back in the day
Coco is cool cool 😎
Until he didn't support Norm when he needed him the most 🤷♂️
@@penske_material what do you mean?
nikki glaser and bert lmfao. Why'd you feel like you had to include them
Bigger names in comedy know he's one of the greatest of all time. He just didn't get the chance he deserved.
I’m a huge Patrice fan. Huuuge. But Let’s be real. He had many chances. He blew most of them by his own admission. His self destructive nature was part of what made him the genius he was. Good and bad. Gotta take it all with some of the GOATS.
@@YourMom-tx2dn God I love the story of the time he was called in to pitch a show at Comedy Central and he spent the whole meeting bitching about Mencia.
@@YourMom-tx2dn the chances he had were also were bending him to work on terms that didnt align with his vision or morals. He couldn't cross that line.
He's said multiple times he's tried to do the tapdance, but it turned out to be a deal he couldn't accept. Yes, there's times he didnt try enough with executives, but perhaps they weren't the kind of people he wanted to work for. Each meeting isn't described in full detail; so were assuming as armchair agents.
@@moodlampActual if that's true, he died with his morals intact. Which is a damn rare thing. Good for him.
Some call it not getting a chance, but I'd say he just never sold out. He just was around at a time when if you didn't sell out even a lil, you were screwed. He died too early because if he were around when podcasts started blowing up, there is zero doubt he would be as huge as his friends Kevin Hart and Bill Burr are now, it just wasn't his time and life is unfair, it takes some people way too early.
What a treat!, unseen Patrice is like finding $50 in your pocket. He was so ahead of his time, talking about toxic masculinity before it was cool.
I think he was funny but he's very overrated. That's not true about how a 'white' man and 'black' man reacts to an ass. Both of those impressions he did are done by either race. Your bit there about talking about toxic masculinity being cool was funnier than what he said here.
Someone else might have actually stood in a certain way which made them look slimmer but he didn't. I thought he was going to. He set it up then didn't look any smaller/slimmer. He relied on racism again.
@@user-yp3oj5se1i I don’t think he’s overrated except for those men who think he’s their savior.
The way he stood wasn’t meant to look skinnier. It was funny because it showed that people try hard to look skinnier by awkwardly positioning their body and still look just as fat.
I thought the part where he said your drawers aren’t meant to look better backwards was very funny.
@D M Is observational comedy not a critique of social norms
@@user-yp3oj5se1i this is early in his career, he was a few years away from his peak which was 2003-2010
Lol talking about toxic masculinity is cool?
When the homies aren't around.
R.I.P Patrice
Nailed it, Abe.
Knowing Patrice from all his O&A episodes I can see how much it pains him to dress up and clean up his act for Conan. He really wanted to be famous but he refused to compromise his realness. God bless him, Rest in peace Black Philip. 💜
"I eat too."😂😂😂
"You can't be a gangster and like the Beatles!" LMAO

The last man who stood up for man-ness publicly till the end. The only person that I have never met and yet I miss him deeply like we were family. RIP Patrice, your legacy lives on
Corey Holcolm should also be weighed and measured. He has something going for him.

"I DONT WANNA LEAD FAT PEOPLE NOWHERE!!!"
MY RIIIBBBS!!!
😂🤣😭
I'm curious if you're referencing James Norton's 1992 tape "My RIIIBBBS"?
"What we gon do?
March?"
This had me in tears for like 30 minutes at work 🤣🤣🤣
I have literally seen every Patrice clip on YT so seeing this fresh stuff (the boxers bit was great) definitely makes me feel like Christmas came early.
Love seeing more Patrice material I haven't seen before. RIP big guy, you're missed.
“You can’t giggle in the ghetto!”
He was a comedic genius... Million pound March!
I see Patrice I click!!
I’m a simple man !
Right
Thanks for keeping his memory alive. Patrice is a one of a kind gem that the comedy world won't ever forget. Have you heard our current legends talk about Patrice and how they all automatically get this little smile because they know, this fella was a unique jewel. There will never be another one like him and we were blessed to have him. Such a real soul, no games, nothing fake...just honest comedy greatness.
So glad he finally got some attention from mainstream media and not only his cult fans, RIP GOAT 🙏 .
LOVED him on "Tough Crowd".
In fact - many times he took over the show.
He was that good.
He was the best part of that show. Followed by Greg Giraldo
@@penske_material You know - I forgot about that. You are absolutely right. And I used to look forward to all the Roast shows on Comedy Central that had Greg Giraldo as a commenter - his jokes were the best by far.
RIP Legend. You’re missed everyday.
Even when he was doing a different type of material to what he normally did he was brilliant. He's a rare example of a famous person's death where it's genuinely painful to think about the specials we'll never get to see. There's not a lot of good comedians and he was as good as it gets. Nobody sounded like him, nobody thought like him, a complete original and probably one of the most honest people we've ever had.
Love and miss Patrice Oneal.
The world needs him now more than ever.
He was a self-proclaimed comedic genius and he wasn't wrong. The way he brought you in to various situations, you'd feel as though they were actually happening in real time.
Man I’ve never seen him so nervous. Still a legend though.
Looking for this comment. It’s funny to see him nervous because he was insanely confident later on
Wanna see nervous? Check out Carlin's first HBO special.
He was probably focusing super hard to not curse
Judging from the original airdate (1997), there is nothing surprising about the "cleanness" of this act. At this time, Patrice was in the very early stage of his career trying to find greater fame. As he himself put it: "I was tap dancing like you wouldn't believe". Still, watching this, you can clearly see how a comedic genius would be born in the early 2000s. He is my favorite comedian of all time and I sorely miss him.
how tf have I never seen this before, RIP to the GOAT. Also Patrice really knew he had to hold back for this one lol
We just didn't get enough Patrice. Genuinely think he could have been the greatest ever, he had a natural gift you just can't teach. His entire personality on stage was just so fluid as if he was just born to do stand up
RIP Patrice, this is a new gem I found. It just proves once again you were one of the best.
Patrice knows how to embrace the moment, he’s so honest with how he feels and always turns out funny. Taken too soon legend!!!
Thanks for posting, Conan! Every second of Patrice's material is a precious drop to save.
The greatest stand up of all time
And a prolific modern philosopher
I love how he sings ‘yellow submarine’ while being dressed like a yellow submarine.
you know he got called Malcom xxl some time and that burn stuck with him forever
Ahead of his time, went over so many heads.
I miss him!!!so glad this popped up on my feed!!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰
"MalcomXXL" - the coolest one word punchline😂😂😀
Lol Patrice is soooo naturally funny.
RIP Patrice. You were one of the greatest to ever do it.
Crowd was a little slow at times, but it's alright... Set slayed
I think they had low expectations and it takes them a while to figure out how hilarious that man was. RIP.
@@rudi_ghuliani Yeah that might be; they got more on board as the set went on. RIP for sure.
TV show, no booze. Never get the same reaction as a club or bigger venue without the booze. Barriers go down when the alcohol level rises.
Thank you for keeping the comedy of Patrice Oneal alive. We fans miss him very much.
Five minutes and thirty five seconds of unfamiliar Patrice >>>
Malcom XXL got me😂😂
Even early Patrice’s golden!
The cleanest 5 minutes of material.
We lost him too early. I keep thinking about it again and again.
He's treasure to humanity.
I wonder how he'd grill many people now in 2021.
We miss you, the great Patrice.
RIP Patrice. The GOAT!
Taking it back to 1997. I even spot a pager, right pocket. Noice! 👍
I cant believe how nervous he looked but he handled it in Patrice fashion the way he kept talking about it.
The part where he giggles and immediately turns into Ron Funches.
He's the kind person who just makes you laugh by looking at him. It's so natural and obviously a gift. Rest peacefully, sir.
His famous Malcolm XXL bit
I'm a huge Patrice fan and a huge Conan fan, can't believe I've never seen this before🤯
