    YT has immortalized Patrice O’Neal. I never heard of him until a couple of years ago and now watch him regularly. His insight and courage was amazing. For me it’s like he’s here now.

      I read somewhere that the reason he would continuously go on O&A was to get his message out there and somewhat immortalize himself because he was aware his health was on the downward slope... Idk if there is something for us when we pass, but if there is, I hope Patrice is looking down and sees all the wisdom he has given men all walks of life.

      I was gonna point out the same thing.
      But I think the laugh was more of him going over time as he's notorious for doing on stage that other comics get pissed.
      I wish that laugh was isolated.
      Tbh fallon was bearable before getting the tonightshow gig which he knew he isn't fit for.

    I can only count on one hand how many guests I've seen go on talk shows and completely dominate not only the interview but the entire studio audience so flawlessly the way Patrice O'Neal did here. He was a true comic down to his core.

    This man is the greatest of all time for me.... He's literally the epitome of "if you know... you know"
    I can GUARANTEE if you introduce Patrice's work to ANYBODY... at first they won't understand but just let them digest his stand up & interviews for SIX MONTHS & they'll turn a corner.
    One of my biggest regrets in life is not being able to meet him. Not a single comedy club I go into here in NYC that doesn't have his photo somewhere. He was truly one of a kind!

      @@jasonbrisco I got introduced to him from Chappelle and he didn't have much lines but something about him was so effortless and natural. It was the Haters Ball skit and I think he only had 2 lines that made the cut. He told Ice T, "you're corny!" For some reason his delivery made me laugh hard and I immediately looked him up. I've been a fan ever since.

    Wow, what an absolute giant man. I mean, the ability to just walk into a room and immediately own that room with your charisma and comedic charm is something that very few people can pull off. There’s a real treasure to being self-righteous that Patrice O’ Neal could pull off, and it’s the idea of being so firm and sound in your convictions that you have the ability to speak your mind, no matter how polarizing, and convince people of where you stand through charm and seductive persuasion. It really is a true talent. RIP to one of the greatest to ever do it.

    This might be the best front to back talk show appearance I've ever seen. He had no nerves and just relaxed into it. He was finally at a place where his aloofness was combining with his genius wit and its heartbreaking when you realize he was about to explode the way Bill Burr did on Conan. Rest in power Patrice.

      Once I was passed out with UA-cam playing on auto...it recommended and landed on that Video of him singing that Blues song. Woke me up 3 AM in the morning and it made me tear up. Because I slowly woke up in a daze, realized it's loooong loooong past 2007 or whenever he sang that, and the world of comedy (and may I say everything else) has tangibly gotten worse. So I was mourning the loss of Patrice and an also an era.

    Having Patrice on a "regular" tv show was phenomenal! Should have been entire show. So fun having a bunch of folks in audience who had NO idea who Patrice was & then experience him! Must have blown their minds!

    The interview was supposed to be much longer, but Jimmy felt uncomfortable having Patrice say what he said and dominating the entire conversation.
    He didn't get to do enough of his bullshit fake laughs cause Patrice would've called him out on that nonsense and fucked his reputation up.
    You can see how surprised Patrice was at the end with Fallon ending the interview, he knew Jimmy was uncomfortable and that cracked Patrice up!
    RIP, Mr. P. You saved a bunch of people with your advice, and we'll all continue coming back to you here on UA-cam to keep your legacy alive.

    This was great! I've been a fan since I saw him on Tough Crowd.One of my favorite things about Patrice is how he delivers a joke that makes most people in the crowd uncomfortable and then he laughs and then everyone else does because his laughter makes people loosen up. RIP one the most absolute elite comics ever.
