watched it and loved it. I've got a red for 40days so your channel is a big help.
Man I remember watchin this years ago and seeing just how amazing this work is. And now coming back I can appreciate things that I could not at first because I had not grown enough to know what I didnt know. So much value here.
That lighting with the anamorphic lenses came out sick.
Fantastic job.
awesome PLS tell me which exact tubes theseare
Where did you put the 1200 hmi? Was it for the ambient light?
Cooper brother, what happened? Why are video clips private? Dude, your video clips are quality examples, don't do this! Reactivate the videos, please
Herbert from Brazil
Видео под названием негры играются с камерами кто им не доверил такую дорогую технику.
Loved the Ad, awesome BTS too! Fantastic job!
Your work is so on point mate and a big inspiration. I can see you doing huge things soon :)

Clean, direct, Quick, rad. More BTS needs to be like this.
great job man
Dude, your work is RAD
I appreciate that, Justin!
Brilliant. Such a good example of how lighting, framing, camera, lens, edit, post all comes together. How many lights did you use in total and what kind of frame rates did you use?
loveeddd the look man
thanks Dan!
You're amazing.
Great work!
Thanks guys! Let's work on some stuff:)
Solid job bro bro! God bless!!!
Thx for sharing. This is a major league product. Well done
thank you for watching!
Really fascinated with the anamorphic workflow. How does the anamorphic mode work on the scarlet-w? Does it record the de squeezed image or do you still have to do it in post?
great video
nice work bro
thx man!
Excelent Cooper!!
thank you!
nice mate !
Sweet look into what was a great output Cooper! How many hours did this end up taking the team? (inc. setup and downpack!)
About 8 hours!
Dope!
Awesome video man! Thank you for these behind the scenes videos. I'd like to know your opinion on a dilema of mine. I'm 16yo and my dream is to become a cinematographer. Should I go to film school and meet people that are already inside the filmmaking world, or should I take a cinematography course?
I might be able to provide some insight. I'm a photographer in the advertising space, 26yrs old, 100% self taught. I'd recommend going to school for business or entrepreneurship if possible since you will be running a business to get work/clients. You can learn the technical aspects of your craft by practicing, free/paid online recourses, asking mentors and friends. Toughest part about it is running the business. Even though I'm coming from the point of a photographer, I'm sure it's pretty similar as a cinematographer.
Thanks! Really interesting point of view, i'll take it into consideration.
Wow just subscribed thanks for revealing your secrets.
how do you get soft blacks on the red and what you use to edit ... is it the promist filter
background sound name
what was the size of the lenses ?
Great b-t-s, Coop. Instant follow. MORE plz!!
though the frame, for the bed shoot
It's fucking sick!
Great video. I've been thinking about what's next after "dark and moody". Everybody describes it as a more subculture thing, but it's already all over the place. I also still like it, but it'll be worn out in the not too distant future.
did you shoot the whole thing on Lomo ?
yep!
How can you shoot these dark shots without any noise?
you shoot with proper exposure 1st than adjust it in post / as well as keeping your iso no higher than 800
@Videography, @Antwoine Films meant ETTR but its not enough. You should blackshade your camera if its a red.
also Reds handle light a little different than dslr's do
There is a lot of light used in this project as we can all see in the BTS. In post production it was then taken and color/styled to taste.
So in short to avoid noise you need proper exposure, the iso doesn't matter as long as your image is properly exposed.
If you shoot and iso 200 and underexpose you will have noise, if you shoot at iso 3200 and have proper exposure (waveform) your image will look great.
Now each sensor has it's native iso, so it is recommended to match it. I haven't used the Scarlet W but more than likely it's rated at iso 800 so if you can light your shoot for that rating you will have a very clean image.
** Great Shoot COOPER**
Did you only use 1 anamorphic lens? Just the 50mm?
nope, a set
nope, a set
