@@kubeanie18 Thanks and that’s my thoughts as well. The only real reason people keep pushing me towards the slash is the parts availability.
@@mongillohockey I have a 2wd lcg brushless slash also it is bulletproof. The losi needs upkeep start ordering strut towers and center diff assembly early. But it is a beast
@@kubeanie18 Ah I see. Are those parts for the Losi a one time upgrade or a regular repair? Granted I assume it’s how often and hard you drive it, but I guess my question is more around do I buy one set of those parts you mentioned or stock pile them like ammunition in a zombie apocalypse? Lol
@@mongillohockey stock a few parts it's a matter of how hard u bash it. But those seem to be the weak points 👉
Those trucks are tough as hell
Right? Especially the Slash and Senton.
Is the senton brushed? Because the senton is a bullet ussualy
Nope! It has a 3500kv brushless motor and a 120 amp speed controller. I think it has a 14 tooth pinion. That’s it’s problem. It has plenty of room for some taller gearing.
@@10thScaleGarage did you swap it to Brushless? because the Red Senton is Brushed from the factory.
Yup! It has a 3600kv motor and a 120 ESC. It’s capable of 4S.
The ecx torment, is it 3s compatible?
Yes, but only after I upgraded the motor and ESC.
@@10thScaleGarage was the exc modified for this video? If so what were the mods?
Yesss looking to get one and just found this video haha
You’ve come to the right place.
When you jumped it wasnt fair to the slash because you dont have the TSM on
It was definitely on.
Is it worth it to have the tsm over the senton idk what to do
If the 22s was in this video where would it rank?
Better than the ECX. Better to drive than the Senton. Slower than the Redcat and Traxxas.
@@10thScaleGarage oh wow that's pretty dang good it sounds like. I will be upgrading the power setup so I don't mind it being slower, but I am glad it sounds like it handles well! I'm going to be racing against a vxl bandit on a short asphalt course haha. Thanks for the response dude, your videos are always super cool subjects that I find interesting
@@foxhoundra6444 Actually it's far superior to the Slash. You can even get a badass aluminum chassis for the 22S.
Was the Senton the brushed or brushless version?
It was upgraded to brushless. The BLX might be a touch faster than mine, but not by anything noticeable.
@@10thScaleGarage I just bought the Senton mega but I have the brushless system just sitting here waiting to go in. I figured I'd go with the mega since it has the brushless internals. Thoughts?
idk, the team redcat is like $200 on sale and it is super good race handling. only thing is its discontinued : [
good comparison 🎯
Yeah! I got mine for $260. Sweeeeet deal. Zero regrets.
@@10thScaleGarage yes its worth it
Why is losi not in the picture? I feel like the Baja ray and tenacity are both great trucks
They are. I have a Losi Tenacity TT pro, but didn’t have one when we filmed this.
Also where’s the dromida
My Losi Baja Rey Raptor is so freaking amazing.. after 15year retirement this has been a lot of fun and a great trainer to get me back. Now I bought two Arrma Mojave v2. One I'm turning into a parts show truck Red body. and the Green one is my basher✔️😂
One of my old buddy's showed up again and he has like 5 slashes so I'm thinking of getting a senton 3s i just love armma I have a slash 4x4 3s brushless and I always break driveshafts constantly. Im done with it. I would rather spend the 140 bucks it takes to get driveshafts that will last on a senton 3s.
Nice! Do it !
Nice video
I'm gonna have to grab me a redcat
Do it!
Cool race
Thanks
Nice trucks
the ECX torment is only a 2wd in this video !
Yes. I mention that many times.
Sweet bro. I want w sc truck but I dont know what I should get. Looking at a nitro or electric one from nitro rcx website
I got the TR-SC10E for less than $250 on amazon. That's over $100 off. It's one of the fastest RCs i have and the looks are growing on me.
Electric is WAY better nowadays
An senton BLX?
Great video
I usually but the cheap ones, then upgrade them.
@@10thScaleGarage no matter what your doing still great! Arrma senton an good beginners truck? I am 15 years old so i prob want to upgrade ot very much, so are there many after market parts?
Put the 120A ESC, IT WILL WAKE THAT BLACKOUT SC THE EFF UP!
No blackout here.
Wait it's not called the blackout pro SC? I don't see any other SC trucks on redcat site
Have the slash, like the senton.
That’s why you need both! Haha.
The mighty DHK Hunter would spank all these trucks
I haven't driven that one. I wish we could've had one when we made this video.
You had me at hoonery and scumbagery!
Haha. Thanks dude.
Traxxas ok video over thanks
Me and my friend are both going to get the ecx
Good choice!
Tekno sct410 all day.
I wish I had one.
Bought the senton 5 batteries tires bald 2 no pavement,2 batteries later motor smoked been waiting a month for replacement put a hobbywing 3660 4,000kv motor in it and proline trenchers 21 tooth pinion now it's an animal 57 mph on grass 62 on pavement my buddy with his slash has no chance anymore
Right? The things are tough as nails, too.
I have utterly abused this thing we call it sentinels airways jumped my ram with a ramp on the tailgate easy 15 feet in the air no worries landed her n kept going
Very 👍 cool 👍👍👍
That senton is not a 3s brushless motor that’s the cheap nickel hydrated brushed motor so it’s not fare to run it against those 3 s csrs
Nope, it’s got a 3540 brushless motor and 80 amp ESC in it.
It came brushed, but that didn’t last long.
To be fail, the Torment came brushed, too but that’s had a brushless swap as well.
@@10thScaleGarage I only say that cause I have the 3s senton and it’s way faster then what I seen in the video and it also has a 4s sticker on it which also leads me to believe it’s not the 3s senton
@@10thScaleGarage not saying it’s not tho cause I could be wrong
the Senton is a turd. my BLX Senton destroys my VXL Slash
Yeah, this was still running the stock 14 tooth pinion. It has wayyyy more in it for sure. In fact, the motor and ESC I have in it is capable of 4S.
Meow... The Red Kitten Metal Belly I believe is the Overall 🏆 WINNER 🏆 for quality price uniqueness Only metal frame and SEXINESS.
Too bad you cant get them anymore :(
DHK Hunter is best.
You didn't review the best. Only most expensive 🤦
They get way more expend than a Traxxas slash. My Losi was more expensive than all of these. It’s also way better. I’d like to do this video again with a new selection of trucks.
Ik what u mean by the 2wd being quick i have a 2wd rustler with a stock battery and my dad has a 4 wd rustler w 2s and my brother has a stampede with a 2s but i have the fastest car
Heck yeah! Feels good to be the fastest, right?
@@10thScaleGarage yea lmfao ur the best youtuber ever never seen one that actually responds to every comment out tries this hard for fans love you man no homo and cant wait tell you make the vid on that wl toys one my lil nephew has been wanting the small green veraion for a ehile but we might try to get him the big purple one so ill be waiting on that review
Been looking at getting the traxxas but now kinda wondering about these other cheaper ones.
Nothing wrong with the Traxxas! They’re really durable and parts are easy to find. The slash is like the grand daddy short course truck, but it’s definitely not the only option.
@@10thScaleGarage granddaddy for sure given its history I heard. Lol I'm coming off a Losi XX buggy I bought in 94 and hasn't been used since maybe 99... Part me wants to revive it (almost pristine condition) but other part just wants to buy new.
MaziesButt my first ever hobby grade RC was a Losi XX. If you ever want to sell it, let me know, please!
@@10thScaleGarage tempting actually. It's all original short of ProLine rally rear tires and white 5-spoke front wheels and it's lacking a motor. Ran a Futaba Magnum radio with it.
@@10thScaleGarage how does one get hold of you direct? Have a FB page or something?
Senton blx 4 x 4
Nice!
I have a ecx amp mt and im buying a senton
Nice! I have the ECX Boost. Super fun.
Have you gotten your bead stuck in the wheels yet lol..just askn 😐
No
The redcat costs half a traxxas 4x4... Is there a catch???
Parts support, aftermarket and the fact that you can’t buy the Redcat anymore.
Is the blackout SC worse? Looks the same. $159 for brushed $259 brushless
Arma senton 4x4 blx 3s under the tree
Nice!
If you got the BLX Senton it should shit all over that Traxxas by at least 10mph
It has a brushless system in it.
where did y'all go
What do you mean? We’re still here.
@@10thScaleGarage lol where are you then
NW Ohio.
@@10thScaleGarageIt looks really nice
Senton is the best. Slash is over priced
Maybe. Keep in mind, it’s the only one with stability control built in, and the parts support is pretty unbeatable. I agree though. The Senton is my fav.
10th Scale Garage very true. I suppose it depends on the person.
Bro why not losi?
I know! I’m trying to convince Ethan to buy one.
the losi 5ive t is the est short course
That’s a 5th Scale gas Powered RC. While those are cool. This video was about 10th scale electric RCs.
10th Scale Garage I know, but the losi 5ive t is still a short course.😀
WHERES THE LOSI KING
This was before I had the TT Pro and the Baja Rey.
the senton 3s is the best SCT speed ,durability, price and part support
Better than Traxxas? Common. It’s close but Traxxas is the yardstick.
Please explain what benefit the Heavy Metal music adds to your videos?.... I'm thinking ZERO !
Zero?! The Smashing Pumpkins are my favorite band and I love that song! I think I’d get a copyright strike if I used it though.
Excellent suggestion! Thanks for watching.
👍🏼👍🏼
Who is hobao? 🤌
Hobao?
Yeah. We should get one.
Kyosho
I want one.
Losi is king.
Agreed.
My dad got my slash ran over and had it repaired the next day. That next day I was smoking people driving cars that challenged my rc car.
Nice! Gotta love that Traxxas parts support.

About as helpful as this comment.
I'm sorry but I can't stand this guys personality but his friend with the big beard is worse
I would never recommend anything redcat.
Noted.
The senton is the fastest out of the box I think the driver is dogging it.
I blame Ethan.
