I have both... In 2wd, on dirt track, the Slash is way up front, non contest vs a 2WD Senton. In 4WD on a 1/8 buggy carpet track, I would give a very little edge to the Senton just for the overall handling + control in the air. The Senton no antenna Tactic 300 receiver is a must have. Thanks for the video.
Im stuck on what RC truck to get. Been looking at the Slash 4x and the Senton, maybe even an E-Revo. Im not looking to do many upgrades. Maybe just a good 3s or better battery and thats about it. Price seems a little better for the Senton. E-revo seems quick to but hard to find videos of it bone stock with just a good battery. Maybe the tires on the Revo are better for more off road but i wont be doing any crazy terrain.
I know I'm late but just thought I would say this; the Senton lost 10mph going offroad, and the Slash only lost 7mph. So maybe the Senton is outright faster, BUT the suspension on the Slash, at least on this day you filmed, was better at managing the terrain you were on. Very interesting.
Not necessarily. The senton was still faster offroad. The fact that the slash lost less speed as a percentage probably has more to do with the fact that it was slower to begin with. You can take an 80mph truck and run it on the same exact spot, and you will cap out at probably 60mph because thats all it can do on a specific terrain. But it would lose 20mph, more than these two, still being the faster truck on the same terrain.

Both are great but there is 200 $ difference ! I love my senton but rocks getting stuck in the steering is anoying
$80 difference and TSM.
@@nobodynoone3428 only an $80 difference if you want a brushed slash that's 2wd. It's a $200 difference for the brushless and 4wd version. Senton is a way better vehicle imo. Expecially for the money
@@trenthutson7409 Where did you come up with that? It's not even close to accurate. A brushed 2wd Slash is only $189. A 4x4 vxl is $379. So like I said, it's $80 more and includes TSM. The Ultimate is much more expensive because of all the upgrades included. The Platinum is the best Slash 4x4, as far as value and Slashes go.
@@nobodynoone3428 idk where you're from or where you getting those prices buts it's like 250-300 around here for a 2wd brushed slash and around 400-500 for the brushless 4wd. But that's why I order online. I've got one hobbyshop around here and it's way overpriced 😂 I only go when I need a small part asap. They tack on like $40-50 tax buying anything over $150 🙄
@@trenthutson7409 Just go to the Traxxas website and subtract around $20, or go to a reputable online store. If you're paying much more than that, then the store is flat out ripping you off, or maybe you live in another country.
the slash just seems to operate like a old out dated chassis. more like a toy. the arma charges through, a little more heavy, plush, faster, cheaper. It's a sick unit.
So which one is nicer, my doot?
So was that the slash ultimate? Or just the vxl?
Vxl
No lie the slash looked faster. What were the battery specs. Because the slash should be much faster with the same battery
I upgraded the battery in mine and everything and it’s still kinda slow, like no where near as fast as yours and I have the same truck do you know or anyone know why it’s not fast?
which truck?
Great vid!!! Subscribed
I really like my Slash. What annoys me tho is that there are so many around!!!!!
You are having too much fun.
Where can I find a red body like that on the Senton
@Mustafa Yar okay
Traxxas is like the apple of rx cars, arrma is like the android
I can’t tell which one you’re favoring here
Arrma senton all the way. Got the senton 3s and it's fast on 2s alone never mind 3s.
