I second this. One of my friends got me the cookbook this last christmas. I have yet to try my hand at any of the recipes, but everything in it looks soooooo good!
Ooo, that encyclopedia looks amazing! I'll take a closer look at it! Thanks for the video! You'll pick up crafting no problem once you start. My only recommendation is to do them all at the same time. That way you'll have the same gear for all of them at the same time. Ohh, last recommendation, since you JUST got into FFXIV and are SUPER into it. Go watch the Endwalker fan fest, if it's still out there. It's a LONG video, and you could skip the first part technically (OMG, I'm going to FFXIV hell for even recommending a skip) as it pertains to the class reveals and gameplay stuff you've already experienced. The real parts you might like are the developers interviews along with the head writer. Also, there's the music. OMG the music.

I'd love to see more of your work, perhaps some explorations of specific characters and storylines you enjoy?
I just got my copies of these as well! I just need to find a magnifying glass or something because the print is small and getting old sucks. I've been playing since the middle of last year and thanks to working from home and a pandemic, I have 3998.4 hours played now. The story is amazing! Stormblood had two writers, one for the Ala Mhigo half and another for Doma. The woman who wrote the Doma half, Natsuko Ishikawa, went on to become the head writer for the main story of Shadowbringers and Endwalker. They do have a solid lore team and a central lore guru that she works with to build the world. I think if I consider the story in its entirety, this is the best story I have experienced in a game and one of the best I have experienced in any form of media.

He is a huge FF14 nerd he played it when it was released in back in 2013. I wanted to see inside the poster book and you show it, thank you so much I know he going to love it.

Regarding your question of how they keep the lore straight; Banri Oda. He is the team's loremaster. It is literally his job to sift through everything written for the game and make sure it all fits together before its added to the live game. With an ongoing game like this, I imagine that is a ridiculously complicated task and time consuming. All the love, honor, and respect to Banri Oda. He and Natsuko Ishikawa (the game's main writer) are doing the lord's work.

I have nearly all of the FF14 Merch at Home (even the fatter Cat Sitting bag) and a Signed Version of Encyclopedia Eorzea 1 by Yoshi-P and Koji Fox from Fanfest 2017 in Frankfurt. Its all such a Good Quality. Ive bought the Poster Collection 2 Times cause i took all of the Posters, Framed them and then put in on my Wall behind my Desk. Looks soooo good. Really hoping we get a encyclopedia Eorzea Volume 3

Well you dont need to take it apart you can litteraly go find and buy wall posters for FF. Also im not entierly sure but there is i think 3rd Volume that came out if im not mistaken but i think its Japanese only or maybe im just miximg stuff.

Really gives the feel of a what you imagine when hearing the word "tome". I love the fact that they did another printing of them, managed to snag a pair for myself.
Would be cool for you to do mini recaps of each expansion with your reactions to best moments from them too. Also if you have crying videos, those would do so well!
I just recently got Encyclopaedia Eorzea Vol I, and I have Vol II on the way. I'm absolutely blown away by how much love and attention to detail went into them. I'm the type of person who loves to deep-dive into the lore of my favourite games like it's actual recorded history, and these books really satisfy that itch for knowledge. I only just played through the entire story throughout the course of last year, and I'm already so invested. It's insane... I mained as a Dragoon all the way to the end of Shadowbringers, and then I simultaneously levelled Dragoon and Dancer together from the the post-patch of Shadowbringers. Went through Endwalker switching between Dancer and Reaper though. I highly recommend trying Reaper out!!
Really loving your videos! It's great watching someone being so excited about everything FFXIV. In your other video you mentioned you almost didn't start playing it because of it being an MMO, and it was the same for me. Granted at this point I've been playing since 2015, but even at that time I didn't fully get into it properly because I'm not very good at these kind of games so it kinda stressed me out and I bought story skips. The last 2 years I sort of "restarted" with a new character and going through everything now, I feel a little regretful for skipping all the msq previously. Everything is amazing, as you have been saying! I'm glad you shared some pages of the books with us! They look gorgeous! I didn't realize they had SO MUCH stuff in them! You definitely would have loved the Eorzea Cafe in Japan! Unfortunately it looks like the last day for it is 8/31, which is sad because I haven't had a chance to go myself despite living in Japan. There's always the Square Enix Cafe in Tokyo!
