They the stupid ones this feature should be enabled by default and in the camera without the pro the worst is that you can't even use your earbuds for video recording on other apps like tiktok or snap

I have a Samsung Galaxy A13 5G, a major downgrade from the A20 after breaking it. The microphone of this piece of shii only picks up on the right side for whatever reason, so when I literally saw this video and thought it would be so helpful just to find out there's no pro *video* option, just pro.

Yes. Download Open Camera app. It allows you to select external mic source and allows you to use front facing camera. Problem with using these is you can not access your telephoto lenses and you can't use filters. I hate my S21, I regret buying it.

In contrast to "directional" mic - which picks up sound from one direction only. (Forward facing, or rear.) Samsung phones have multiple mics - (deluxe feature) so those permanent buttons in the camera app (like Omni) is just switching between the built-in mics of the phone. You want Omni if you want to record your voice behind the cam, and say, someone in front of it too. If you just want pick up from somebody in the front - don't do Omni, cause it'll pick up your breathing. The greyed-out options like Bluetooth - are the type of mics you can connect. If your mic is connected but it's grey - some setting or permission is wrong. Edit - find out which mics the Galaxy tab has online to see your options.

I got JBL Endurance Run Bluetooth eardbuds. It's working fine. I've tried it to answering a normal calls and it worked. It got microphone built-in. The thing that I notice is, when I wanted to choose Bluetooth microphone input on the pro video, the microphone input choices only allowing omni for some reason did you know why? There's no omni setting button on my S9. I have bluetooth headphones connected that have a microphone, and it's still just as quiet as my regular phone's microphone which is wayyy too quiet.. I can't find a solution for this anywhere.
