No SD card slot means if you need a lot of storage you have no choice but to buy the higher priced 512gb or the 1tb phone....to add insult to injury, you buy a $1000 phone and don't get a charging brick with it.

I'm very happy they have started making phones for men. It should be an sturdy implement. If you want one of those girly iPhones fine, but real men who do hard work have needed rugged phones for years.
Coolest thing is the night vision honestly. It's kinda big with only being able to lay 48 hours I thought you were gonna say this would last a week. I feel like when phone manufacturers start utilizing solid state batteries someone this big and built won't be necessary.

I got a doogee s100 pro it's extremely similar to this phone all functions are the same only differences are main camera 108MP instead of 200 MP ,onboard storage, and the ram size (also better flashlight on s100 pro) everything else is essentially the same but! The price is completely different v max being at 600(450 in some stores) but the doogee s100 pro is 400 on amazon or 290 on some other stores i got my s100pro for 2 years already and i still am really happy to have it. @@disclosed2229 3.5mm jack is a important jack for people who understand quality and sound. Their isn't a pair of Bluetooth headphones that are better than a good pair of wired headphones. The latency and audio that comes out of wired pair of headphones is much better than any Bluetooth
@@pawelhyzopski6456 I recently swapped over from using my Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro on my laptop to my old Audio Technica WS1100 headphones + Creative DAC. Sound quality between the two is night an day difference. All these headphones needed was a little more oomph to run them properly. That aside, I've yet to find a more comfortable pair of headphones than Audio Technica. I wear glasses so I'm extremely picky about headphones/headset. The Steel Series is nice, but had way too much clamping force. In overall sound quality wireless/USB headset are always gonna fall short of what some studio grade/audiophile headphones are gonna offer with a good DAC/AMP to run them. I may be attached by wires, but at least that's less things to worry about charging, or replacing worn out batteries eventually. As for headphone/3.5mm jacks I don't really see an excuse for not having them. Red magic, Asus, and Sony phones all still have 3.5mm jacks, mostly.
We went from thick cellular phones in the 80s to tiny Nokias, back to thick cellular phones in the 20s. We'd have bio integrated tech and virtual hud display screens if we weren't intent on doing the same thing every year.
Phones got to being really tiny, around 2005 with the Nokia 8810 (I think) that was mega small, not much bigger than a cigarette lighter, then they started to get bigger again!
@UKCReportsUK right! Exactly that. They made tablets to be integrated into daily use where computers wouldn't be convenient. Then they cross-bred tablets and phones and made tablets almost unnecessary. It's just the same stuff reintroduced as something new only because it has another number on it (iPhone 13, iPhone 14, iPhone 15...)
Same battery life in my power bank, yes I see what the idea was now, kinda like how the A10 Warthog was built around a big gun, this was built around a big power bank lol
I'm more impressed with the battery life and the speakers, they sound like a decent sized sound bar and if you can hear the echo that pronounced while recording it means it fills the entire room easily. Plus with a battery like that you could probably power other devices with it. Sounds great for the outdoorsman out there.
Design for rough, rugged, & construction work in mind people ! NOT for mama little girl that text & gossip all day long till dad come home & say your 32 ! When you planning on getting a job & move out my house ? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I am big into outdoor activities. I like the idea of something for rough playing people like me. I have lost many cell phones on wipeouts while trail riding on my mountain board.
Pretty much my ideal phone. Only I would change a couple of things, a 10,000mA/h battery would be enough and the screen would need a function to illuminate the screen with the help of ambient light. the processor and its cooling would also need to be upgraded as we have increasingly high summer temperatures.
You can take a Kyocera Duraforce and throw as hard as you can and as high as you can straight up into the air and have it land on concrete and nothing will happen to it. Repeat 20 times. Nothing. Turn it on and and turn on flash light. Put it in a tub of water then into your freezer. Everything stays lit up and its in a block of ice.
Tried one of their phones a couple years ago and the screen got scratched up really quick. Also most of what they had available was pretty small in the memory department as well. Not toddler proof. I'm using blackview because it's affordable with plenty of memory and has survived my now 5 year old granddaughter. I wish there was a comparable American phone for the price
Sony did release one before. But through US authorities, was advised to discontinue public distribution. Either it became exclusively produced for choiced personnel or discontinued with the thought that it would give advantage to groups not aligned with western powers. So makes me wonder if this device would not also catch their attention and bully the makers to stop distribution.
I've had a cell phone since the mid 2000's. Never dropped any of them in water or needed weatherproofing to the point of excluding a headphone jack. I'd much rather have the better sound quality of a wired headphone and better audio processing that the LG V60 has when using it. BTW: What makes you think the headphone jack is any more susceptible to water invasion than a speaker or charging port? And what makes you think it can't be made just as waterproof as any other opening on a phone? The V60 is IP68 rated just like a lot of phones that have headphone jacks.@@purrplemane5954
Yup. I have two now. An original from when they were first released and a new one I got 8 months ago. They are still selling them new from old LG stock out of China for $200. Only problem is they are shipping with questionable batteries so you might need to buy a new one and replace it after a few months, but everything else is identical in every way and it comes with the newest version of Android too. Had a Samsung from a couple years ago that I dumped because it became useless after all the Samsung updates crippled it. Unlike with other brands, with the LG, you never have to worry about forced performance killing updates since LG doesn't support them.
I have had rugged phones from Ulefone's(3 models) and Doogee's(2 models). I work in a metal building and all had a weak signal. I bought a Samsung Galaxy and the compatible smart tags and the Samsung can take a call in the building while the China brand will not. The Ulefone Power Armor 13 measurement laser is accurate, speaker has gone out, but both brands get weak signal with T-mobile. I think it is because they don't have all the channels required to get high strength signal?
This would be the ultimate guilty pleasure for me. I love products nobody has or nobody knows about. I used to have a CAT S60, because nobody in my hometown had one outside of their jobs. I just had it, because I could and I was happy to have the thermal sight camera when fire broke out in a store downtown. The fire department came and I could tell them straight away where the fire hazard was at lol. They were amazed that someone not at a worksite, had a thermal camera ready and steady haha. Right now I'm still using a Galaxy Note 10 from 2019 and I'm planning to get a new phone by March 2025. I've been enjoying your videos and especially this one. I hope that by March I can still get this one (probably on Amazon, because there is NO physical store in the Netherlands that sells Doogee other than Amazon online) or the runner up. I have read about an update for specifically this phone, but no mentioning about the stabilitzation. HOWEVER ... I primarily use the ABC-app (A BETTER CAMERA) which should solve this issue. The camera on my Note 10 isn't all too great and the ABC-app fixed the sluggish Note 10 camera-app instantly. Maybe you can check if that's the case for this awesome phone as well ?
After my Oukitel 10000mAh got no updates anymore and I did have to change it for my banking app I have stop buying this type of phones because the producer doesn't care about our pockets, he cares about his pockets.
phones been upgrading everything else except ease of use yeah sure with flagships you can get better charging speed a bit better camera better specs or a bit nicer design with nicer screen but at the end of the day if you dont buy protective case and protective glass it's gonna get fcked if you ever decide to use it as a normal human being (outdoor) on top of that if you forget to charge normal phone before going to sleep you wont be able to keep using it the other day and it seems that this company with this phone tried to fix these issues bigger battery and sturdier phone is what most of us really need and i am glad that some companies trying to think about customer needs and not the money that they can produce by building same phone just with slightly better camera or a bit better specs 10/10 for this company
After reading a ton of reviews I've found one thing that puts me off this phone. No content provider has answered one single question. If it seems too good to be true... it probably is. I'll stick with Samsung.
Well if the IR light is there, maybe they should bring back the IR Blaster as well so it could be used as a Universal Remote. That died off with the S5 I think.
I wish I had that on the Appalachian trail last year. It would have eliminated so much crap I had to carry and I could have gone twice as far between having to come off trail to charge my batteries.
I've been all about Samsung ever since the S7. I have the S24U now, and the S9+ 5G Tablet. But this phone, with the battery, display, night vision, and audio are really making me consider switching.
Well I have this phone and LOVE it. The only con would be the "large and heavy" the others you can get other software that fixes this issue. Since I work in construction this is the only type of phone that has lasted. Had other type of phones and most don't last. You can also flash it to run Linux OS if you want instead of Android but there is NO extra software (bloatware). Is this phone for everyone, no but worked better than my Samsung or my sister's iPhone. Funny note, they have even charge their phones off mine. 🛑🧠✌

Doogee devices come with unlocked bootloaders. Meaning you can always download the updates from Google and manually update the phone whenever you want.
Cool stuff, but once the battery degrades in 2-3 years of use. I have doubts that replacing it will be anything as easy as a Samsung or any other phone.
This phone really doesn't eliminate some of the reasons why I love my Samsung Galaxy Ultra... For starters, there doesn't appear to be a Samsung Dex like feature. That's a game changer for me
I have always had a love for rugged phones. They are built to last. I don't mind it being thicc at all, but that thing is a bit too much. If they can tune it down to about 10k-12k mAh and spend the saved cost to something else, that would be nice. Things like: - The screen is just IPS. Has to be at least LCD or AMOLED. - Camera is barely usable, and that is just about the main (wide) camera. The ultrawide camera quality is just too poor by today's standards. - No OIS. - Probably only receive 1-2 year major OS updates. Still no manufacturer has been able to merge a flagship and a rugged phone so far.
33000mah is the maximum international allowance. Have the argument with them every time I fly but it's clearly written and their policy doesn't trump it.
Why doesn’t Samsung , apple, and google break into this market already? Even Porsche, Ferrari, and Lamborghini have SUVs, wouldn’t it make sense for those phone brands to expand? Ultra Watch might be the closest they’ve gotten to Rugged stuff. Samsung Dex would pair well with a portable device as this

Coolest thing is the night vision honestly. It's kinda big with only being able to lay 48 hours I thought you were gonna say this would last a week. I feel like when phone manufacturers start utilizing solid state batteries someone this big and built won't be necessary.
Reviews say that it won't work with AT&T here in America which is a bummer and what stopped me dead in my tracks.

3) after only 2 weeks working as a landscaper... No one who called me could hear a single word I spoke... So if you have dust around you ? Get used to having ear buds all day long so people who call can hear what you're saying through the ear bud speakers...

Pretty much my ideal phone. Only I would change a couple of things, a 10,000mA/h battery would be enough and the screen would need a function to illuminate the screen with the help of ambient light. the processor and its cooling would also need to be upgraded as we have increasingly high summer temperatures.
0:15 I was actually really worried about its durability until he lightly threw it a couple of feet onto the springy grass 😭😭😭 lol 😂

Yeah, I was hoping for a concrete or pavement durability test.
@THE-APEX but didn't they stop manufacturing new phones?

Tried one of their phones a couple years ago and the screen got scratched up really quick. Also most of what they had available was pretty small in the memory department as well. Not toddler proof. I don't want that phone, but I do wonder why Samsung and Apple haven't done the night vision camera yet.
For controlling your freedom. Sony nightshot cameras , such a beauty.

Night vision is lies lies .x eat carrots
Apple is only interested in your money not functionality (nor charging accessories). Samsung can DO Everything Apple does for profit.
For the type of phone I expect at least a 6.9" phone, and I need a DAC with a built-in headphone jack. it's why I still have my LGV60.
Headphone jacks are out for waterproofing purposes. If your phone has a headphone jack, chances are it's not IP68 rating
LG V60 is more than enough
Back in the day I believe Blackberry was the first one with a notification LED. I loved my BB. ❤

That’s a good reason for having one.
After my Oukitel 10000mAh got no updates anymore and I did have to change it for my banking app I have stop buying this type of phones because the producer doesn't care about our pockets, he cares about his pockets.
werent the bootloader unlocked for those?
Majority of mainstream phones go out of date. I much rather buy 4 cheap ones and change every 3 years than one expensive.
I have always said all products should have a practical non-slip grip. They are shiny in the box but need cases as soon as we take them out.
People who carry a bare phone with no protection blow my mind. I drop my phone way to often to consider that.
phones been upgrading everything else except ease of use
yeah sure with flagships you can get better charging speed a bit better camera better specs or a bit nicer design with nicer screen
but at the end of the day if you dont buy protective case and protective glass it's gonna get fcked if you ever decide to use it as a normal human being (outdoor)
on top of that if you forget to charge normal phone before going to sleep you wont be able to keep using it the other day
and it seems that this company with this phone tried to fix these issues
bigger battery and sturdier phone is what most of us really need and i am glad that some companies trying to think about customer needs and not the money that they can produce by building same phone just with slightly better camera or a bit better specs
10/10 for this company
After reading a ton of reviews I've found one thing that puts me off this phone. No content provider has answered one single question. If it seems too good to be true... it probably is.
I'll stick with Samsung.
Well if the IR light is there, maybe they should bring back the IR Blaster as well so it could be used as a Universal Remote. That died off with the S5 I think.
I'm often looking for my phone around the house. At least this one's easier to find. The speakers serm to be in another level.
I have always had a love for rugged phones. They are built to last. I don't mind it being thicc at all, but that thing is a bit too much. If they can tune it down to about 10k-12k mAh and spend the saved cost to something else, that would be nice. Things like:
- The screen is just IPS. Has to be at least LCD or AMOLED.
- Camera is barely usable, and that is just about the main (wide) camera. The ultrawide camera quality is just too poor by today's standards.
- No OIS.
- Probably only receive 1-2 year major OS updates.
