Beautiful bowl thanks to you and Mother Nature!!! Thanks for sharing your talent with all to enjoy and learn. Hope you had a great weekend. Have a blessed week. 🙂
Hi Phil, great mentor. How about a video about, the making of your UA-cam videos, camera angles, editing software etc. Morné Meintjes from South Africa.
Thank You Phil, Thank You Dennis from California... Acacia I am familiar with & have one growing in my front yard. Long spikes so I do not take it lightly. So many different types that it is hard to believe one Acacia is related to another. Hardwood and beautiful wood with Woodpecker holes. Quite the treat today, Phil. Until next time.... TM
Hi 👋 Phil from Phil, I hope you are all keeping safe and well, The chatoyancy looks beautiful, It is just a amazing we look 👀 at a peace of wood, and we cannot imagine what lies beneath, until we start, turning, or machine, and it, And that is what gives us the surprise, And, depending on which way we machining the piece of wood/Log will depend on the stunning outcome, to create a piece of art, well done. Phil. Another piece of art to your collection , Phil from the moulin France.
Доброго времени суток! Красивая чаша, необычная структура дерева. Вы, как волшебник, из обычного полена, делаете такое произведение искусства. Мне очень нравится Ваша работа. Жду новых идей и новых сказочных изделий.
Wow Phil I thought the gain was outstanding on the outside but the inside is just spectacular. What a nice bowl. Beautiful piece to be displayed. Well done sir. Thanks for the show Joel
Oh isnt that superb?! What a beautiful piece Phil, every week I'm so awed by your creations, it's getting difficult to find enough superlatives with which to describe the sumptuous creations you tease from the wood. That is a spectacular looking bowl, it really is! Thanks, really enjoyed watching that turning. 🙏👍😊
Thank you Dennis! I think that woodpecker/sapsucker did you a big favor, Phil. The added grain distortion really makes the piece. Acacia can be boring when straight grain, but this piece is exceptional!
I got that in northern California and now live in Oregon and there is one around the corner from me. It's that tree that has yellow flowers and raises heck with allergies.
Woo Hoo I have it's little brother...with the same grain etc. Thank you Phil see you soon..there I said it on the net, so better get up with a whole new bunch of wood I've acquired. Take care my friend and be well. Dennis
@@valeriehenschel1590 Sorry Valerie I never saw the tree, I'm thinking a mimosa just because they were all around the neighborhood. I had one my neighbor called it a silk tree, that was the most messy tree I've ever delt with. I'm sorry I just don't know. 😢
Look at me! Watching your video on the day you posted!! Lol. Every time I think I know which is my favorite wood grain (usually Yew) I see something like this! Acacia is gorgeous!!
Good morning, Phil. This is definitely a beautiful bowl. I have been re-doing my shop and haven't been turning for about three months. When I see the cool pieces you turn I have a difficult time finishing the work on the shop. It would be easy to just plug in the lathe and get back to turning again. Your regular wood turning videos is something I look forward to every week. "Time for sanding", just makes me grin every time. A fellow wood turner, who sells his work, says he hopes to get enough from his sales to buy sandpaper. Turning is a wonderful hobby. Thanks for sharing your unique projects, "for all to enjoy." All the best to you.
Oh, it's so much work putting a shop together, Ray. Yup, better stick with it to the finish or it won't get done the way you want. I commiserate with your friend, sandpaper is expensive! 😊
Hi Phil, I missed our morning cup of tea today. I'm was on day 3 of and 8 day craft market and so far going really well. Lovely grain pattern in this piece of Acacia as you said. So instead of tea I enjoyed watching with a cold beer. Take care my friend. Cheers, Huw
A beautiful bowl! It looks like you can see traces of the sapsucker/woodpecker holes along the turned parts of the wood, and for me that adds a lot to the delight of the piece.
Hi Phil, another beautiful bowl💕💕I find your videos very relaxing so I normally watch them at night but this time I was only 1min from when you posted😊😊
That is some beautiful wood. As always, you did it proud. I love watching the movement of your hands. You can tell they know what to do. Craftsmanship at its best. Keep on keeping on my friend.
What grain!! Most symmetrical live edge I’ve ever seen. Sometimes that could be “boring” but not in this piece of art! I love it and can’t wait for your next project.
Super smooth finish, grain looks great, Irene sez it's like looking down into a stadium all the rows of seats going round. Top job again Phil All the best from Lincolnshire UK

I think you are right, Valerie. That's what I meant when I said it's like looking down into the tree. Pretty cool! 😊
You are correct about grains and chatoyance ,they are beautiful...
Where does acacia grow?
Canadian turner
I got that in northern California and now live in Oregon and there is one around the corner from me. It's that tree that has yellow flowers and raises heck with allergies.

Dennis, do you know if that acacia is the Oregon Myrtle acacia, mimosa acacia, or some other acacia?
