Another great video from Matt Luna fishing for a bunch of reasons. Giving you up to date information on new mold products ahead of time so you can make your own decisions before you invest your time and money. That's the best kind of free advice for any fisherman and he lets you know of new hooks and new skirts available to the public also. Plus a Best in show winner 2024 hover rig which I'm sure if you follow fishing your truly gonna be interested in making your own if that's why you are here. Win win for everyone here!
I bought the hover jig mold and have had the same problem over and over!!!! No matter which size I try I have the same type of incomplete pour. I had the retailer contact Do-It and we got a response that did not solve the problem. I did find out that several other people that bought their molds from the same place as I did have had the same problem!! I have over 20 other DO-IT molds and have NEVER had this problem!! I am guessing that there is a quality control problem with this run of molds that went to this store. I am going to take mine back. Pouring should not be complicated. It should be easy as in the u-tube videos for this mold!!!
Based on you saying you have 20 molds i imagine you’ve already ensured the mold is hot, as well as the hook? Incomplete pours happen from time to time. Sometimes when i have an incomplete pour, i spray some blaster dry lube into the mold and it helps.
I always heated the mold and hook. Same problem. The DO-IT representative advised specifically to make the pour cold when we contacted them. He said we would get 200 pours without a problem! I had the same problem. That is what leads me to believe there is an irregularity with this group of molds. One more item. The mold pours perfectly without a hook. I have only used the appropriate victory hook!!!
the hover is a mid depth vertical presentation. but it is more trendy than it is easy to use. its definitely for the advanced angler and the price matches that expectation. I can image with molds being sold out quick however, for all the same reasons. the contact is also another very well timed mod design. the mini chatters are the market they're targeting. Though honestly, some may consider some of the lighter sizes in custom jig molds that already exist might be better. But thats another advanced angler issue that most anglers won't have the passion to ever achieve. not worries from my perspective. Matt and Johnny should have applied for a patent sooner and at least reasonably licensed it out.

Thank you for watching and commenting! Really appreciate it!
Gorgeous offerings!!! 👏 👏👏👏
We knew it wouldn’t take long for the hover mold.
Hopefully Core Tackle won't be forgotten for it. It definitely benefited from it, so far.

Interesting. I’ve had a few incomplete pours but it’s never been a pain for me.
That compact is fire for sure . I’m not a big fan of the hover jig . In my area no one is using them
I really like the finesse jig as well. I think the hover jig is gonna have its time.
