One of the best mold mod videos. That punch skirt and spinnerbait mod are sweet. Thanks for the tips.
No problem 🤙 thanks for watching
Where’s the link to your baits that you’ve made!! Want to support you, keep up the great work! Love the powder cat coverage and lesson was very detailed 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
@@eliwolfe9067 I don’t actually sell baits right now but I appreciate it. I just don’t have enough time to keep up with trying to sell baits at the moment
You're becoming one of my favorite bait making channels, friend. Keep up the awesome work!
There are a lot of good channels out there so this means a lot. I appreciate it Jay!!
You do some great work, my friend!!
First-hand experience: N2TW makes some 🔥🔥 swim jigs!!
Another great video ++
Thanks man!! Trying to improve with each video
Great tutorial, thank you so much for sharing. I hope you have a fantastic weekend!
Thanks Tim!! Hope you have a great weekend as well 🤝
Awesome! video bro thank you! Tight lines🎣
Thank you for watching and I hope it helps 🤝 Tight lines 🎣
That’s looks sick man
Thank you and thanks for watching 🤙
Great video, i make all of these with the poison tail mold as well. Also recently modified the mold to make underspins. After testing it still needs some tweaks, but i think it's going to work out.
A poison tail underspin would be awesome!!
if you figure out the under spin technique, please please please let me know. Thank you.
I might pick up a second mold and modify it for underspins. I’ll definitely post a video when I do
@@N2TW_customlures thank you
You're a very knowledgeable maker. Thanks for sharing.
I really appreciate that!! Lure making and experimenting is basically my therapy so I’m always trying new things and seeing what does or doesn’t work.
The shape of the head hook is interesting, great video..
Thanks for watching 🤝
Outstanding video buddy! You did an amazing job with all of those. Thanks for sharing! Keep up the good work my friend. And as always, #N2TW_customlures rocks!!!
Thanks David!! The continued support doesn’t go unnoticed 🤝
Fire . Just started pouring leads . I ordered ned head and drop shot weights... definitely gunna buy this now . Great job homie ..
Thank you and thanks for watching. It’s a very versatile mold to have
Really cool video! Thank you for sharing all the tips! Love all the content of the videos you have been making. Keep up the amazing work!
Thanks Bryan!! I appreciate the positive feedback
Have you ever tried to use underspin wire form WEY375 instead of WEY 525 for the chatterbait jig?
I got my poison tail jig mold in the mail (1/8 - 3/8oz's mold) along with those 1/8 Teflon pins you suggest and I was quite surprised on how well they sit and stays put in the weed guard slot of the jig mold after trying them out without pouring any jigs yet. Can't wait to make some chatterbaits!
I also got some Owner 4/0 spinnerbait trailer (cutting point w/triple edged cutting blade) hooks to try with the chatterbait hook (I love owner products!) along with the spinnerbait trailer hooks you suggested, I'm noticing that the Owner hook has a wider hook opening, it'd be interesting to see how they work with trailer bait.
I’ve used the WEY375 in the 1/8oz size with smaller blades and hooks to make mini chatterbaits and it works really well. If I’m using the standard size blades I will always use the 525 though. The owner hooks should work just fine and I am also a big fan of owner hooks. Just make sure everything is nice and hot before pouring to ensure it all fills in completely and you should be good to go 🤙
Great Video! I learned a bunch. Keep up the great work.
Glad you found the video helpful! Thanks for watching
the buzz bait tip is amazing
Thank you!! This one is great for open water but not around grass

Just found your channel today really enjoyed the video.
Glad you found our channel and enjoyed it!! Welcome 🤝
I recently got this mold off a friend and wasn’t interested in keeping it but now you’ve made me change my mind on some of the ideas that you’ve created, specially the Chatterbait option.
Where do you find your teflon pin?
Are you affiliated with Barlow?
Because you can find Queens blade on Tackle Warehouse
It is an extremely versatile mold to have!! I buy my teflon pins from Barlows Tackle and use the 1/8” size

@@FishnTheSouthOkanagan78 I am a Barlows affiliate but I still buy supplies from all over depending on who has things in stock. I have actually bought some of those from tackle warehouse before as well. That’s actually where I found them first
Love the video! Had no idea or even ever thought you can make a punch skirt. Absolutely genius. I’ve also heard you can make inline spinners. I have the hybrid grass jig mold. Have you tried that out yet?
I’m sure you could easily make in-line spinners as well. I personally don’t really use them so I haven’t tried but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work
Great content really liking it a lot. You mentioned someone called Skimpy can you put up a link to his channel so that I can view his vids as well. Thanks again great work.

Excellent video. I have never seen that poison tail used in a Buzzbait configuration. Can you show it in action?
The next time I go out I’ll try to get a video of it and I’ll post it on my Instagram page

Thank you 🤙
Good video!!!! I have this mold 😊
It’s very versatile. Thanks for watching!
Great video … what size is the Teflon keeper you’re using . Thanks for any help you can provide
Thanks for watching! I’m using the 1/8” size Teflon pins.

how else can you connect the chatter blade without it being directly connected to the hook eye?
If you use a mold and hook with a horizontal line tie, then you can connect the blade with a split ring
i want to try making my own springer bait , 3/8 and 1/2 what size componets would i need like beads and spacers and anything else i might need , I' m going to use the company you listed below and i want you to get credit for the sale .
Thanks Jim I really appreciate that. I’ll link everything that I would recommend below!!
Spacers ~ I use the regular size

Beads ~ I use the 1/8” size

Wire forms ~ I like the .040 for those sizes

Hooks ~ I would use 4/0 for those

Hopefully this helps and feel free to reach out with any other questions you have
what paint powder did you use on the head for the green pumpkin bait?
That is the Matte Green Pumpkin from Pro Tec
How did you modify that mold to fit those other wire forms?
I used a combination of a small dremel and some jewelers files to cut the grooves for the wire form. I taped the wire form in place and smacked the mold with a hammer to leave a minor indention where the wire form needed to be and then slowly cut the grooves deeper on each mold half until it closed properly.
wish they would make this mold without the weedless slot.
I agree. They have the swing head mold without a weedguard but it doesn’t have the same bait keeper on it
can you tell me the hook sizes yours using for each jig.
thanks,
I used a 3/0 in everything except the bladed jigs. I used a 4/0 in those. I generally use 3/0 in everything up to 3/8oz sizes and then I’ll bump up to 4/0 for 3/8 and larger
thanks

@@jimwhite7527 anytime!!
How do you keep the paint off the eye of the hook?
You can put a small piece of heat shrink on the hook eye before you dip in the powder or you can just chip it off prior to baking it
Great video! Can we order from you?
Thank you!! Appreciate you watching the video
Yes I do all my selling through my Instagram account since UA-cam doesn’t have a messenger feature. Just send me a message on IG @N2TW_customlures and we can get you fixed up
awesome how much would you charge to make me 50 of 2.75 ned crawler👍👍👍👍👍
Send me a message on my Instagram page and I’ll give you all the info
Hey, you don't have a problem of your Vibrating Jigs coming apart? I've had a few come apart on retrieve and i reel back just a blade... i was using the STW130 and bending completely closed in the hook eye... may be bending too much and making it brittle 🤷♂️
@@calvinnegrete913 I’ve never had a wire form break on me using these wire forms. I’ve had a couple start to wiggle a little because of the soft lead but never actually had one break or come out
@N2TW_customlures yeah, i just don't know how to remedy it... 🤔
@@calvinnegrete913 have you tried using the WEY 525 wire forms
I believe so, i thought those would allow the eye to open up up due to the force of pulling the vibrating jig. If you hook the end of it in the hook eye, the opening where the blade attaches looks like it would open up... i guess not.. I'll try them! It can't hurt anything!
Thank you! Love your videos! 👌
What type of thread do you use to tie the skirts on? Nylon? What’s the best size A or E?
I use Danvilles 210 Denier flat waxed nylon for all of my tying thread!

@@N2TW_customlures thank you!
@@Baitmakerz no problem 🤝
This video is totally awesome. Do I still need to modify the mold if I go with the larger size one?
Both size molds will need to be modified for the spinnerbait and buzzbait wire forms but it’s pretty quick and easy to do 👍 you just have to file in a slot deep enough for the wire form to fit and allow the mold to close completely
First of all, thank you for replying. I should’ve specified my question. I meant do I have to modify and dremel the mold if I went with the larger size mold and using the Mustad 32886NP BN?
@@johnnyphive4083 I reply to every comment so feel free to ask any questions you might have. The larger mold will fit the 32886 hook up to the 4/0 size without modification. If you want 5/0 or larger then yes you would have to dremel the hook eye. Hopefully this helps!!
Hell yeah this helps! Thank you again for answering my question. I lack the precision of a surgeon so I don’t want to dremel anything because I might get carried away. Much obliged sir!
Glad we could help 🤝
What size hook you would use for a 1/8 Chatterbait
It depends on that trailer you’re using but I would probly drop down to a 1/0 size. I’ve even made some micro chatterbaits in the 1/8oz with a #1 hook and they work great with thinner profile trailers
@@N2TW_customlures ty sir
@@Raindropfishing no problem 🤙
what size spinner bait hook for the chatterbait?
I used a 4/0 hook for the chatterbaits in this video!! Thanks for watching
where did you get the hook holder for when tying on the skirts?
I use the Griffon Odyssey Spider vise for tying all my skirts.

What eyes did you use?
These were all just some generic eyes I had laying around but I generally use 4mm eyes for this jig head. I don’t really have a brand preference on eyes
Do you sell the jigs and etc i tried to find you on google to buy some jigs but i dont see you anywhere thanks..

Here's the issue most ppl will have. Hook size, blade size, even mold sizes.
On most sites (Do-It) doesnt even have a pic or chart of the sizes. just an arbitrary number indicated one is bigger than the next.
$10 to order the wrong size hooks, when the order is already over $200 can be a bit of a downer.
I agree and wish more companies had a better sizing guide and reference. That’s one of the reasons why I buy 90% of my stuff from Barlows is because of their size guides. They typically either have a picture next to a scale or at least a chart with the measurements on it. They have saved me a lot
@@N2TW_customlures
I think you missed the point of the comment.
As a viewer that knows nothing about what sizes to buy to replicate what you are doing, I would think putting up a pinned comment or in the description a list of all the sizes of items you are using would help not only you generate more views and comments, but greatly help those new to the game.
What size willow blades, buzz blades, Shakee blades, hook size and type, wireform size/diameter, recommendations on skirts/size/colors, etc...
Yeah, you put links to most all that you are using, but never indicated sizes.
@@yoshisaidit7250 I can try to be more specific for future videos/descriptions. I do have a lot of people that message me on my Instagram account and discuss specifics since UA-cam doesn’t have a messaging platform and the majority of viewers don’t even read the descriptions lol. I’ll make note of this for future videos tho
Pro tip. dont use a file on lead unless you like lead dust flying around. Use the butt of a screwdriver to flatten the lead down smooth.
I’ve tried that before but prefer to file. I just do my best to keep all filing to one location and clean everything when I’m finished
@@N2TW_customlures Lay the jig head on the bench and tap it with a small hammer to smooth it out. it's not hard, and doesnt produce lead dust. One well place tap will be enough, and it's much faster.
@@yoshisaidit7250 I will still do something similar for flat head shapes but for the rounded ones I prefer filing
