As usual another great video Rob, fantastic filming a real atmosphere to it. Just keep on doing what you do , We did Snowdon last winter in those conditions ,a real adventure.
Hey Rob Rides Emtb! Awesome vid of your expedition with the boys! My "We shouldn't be here" moment was 2006 on mount Seymour north Vancouver freeride trails during a major storm! Big branches and small trees were falling all around us! We could hear and feel giant 100 foot and taller trees shaking the earth as they fell every 10 to 15 mins! My best friend Trevor and I barely made it down the mountain unscathed! Glad you dudes made it! Ride ride ride!
Hey Rob, great vid my friend! Love seeing how you guys ride on the other side of the pond. I’m pretty familiar with rock climbs here in Colorado. Still getting used to navigating them on an ebike as its definitely different. Man, there’s nothing like riding with buds though since eBikes are still pretty new over here, I don’t have too many pals to ride with that are on eBikes. Hopefully we’ll have more over here soon! In the meantime, keep up the great work, I love the channel! PS: Used your bike cleaning video to huge success with my Trek Rail 7. Thanks for all the help!
Rob, I really appreciate the color grading and cinematography you have put into this. This shows real effort! Liking and commenting to feed the algorithm.
A perfect video to enjoy not only once. How I like your commentaries. A bit scary, though and dangerous, roo. An unforgettable ride for you. Thank you so much for sharing it with all of us. From Almeria, south east Spain
Amazing video. Scary stuff but those views are incredible. It's rides like those that really create memories. Just can't get over the amazing cinematography, Well done you guys.
Cracking video Rob and well done to Bike Pilot for his filming skills caught the atmosphere of the rides a treat. Mother nature at her best and her worst never take her for granted. I'm assuming your riding gear coped well certainly got a good test.
Thanks to FOCUS Bikes for making this video possible! BTW.... Is anyone higher than me in my CRAZY screentime? - Take part in the FOCUS BEAT YOU SCREENTIME Challenge here: bit.ly/2WIbuNb
Oh mate that was awesome! Really enjoyed watching that and you're dead right more time out biking and enjoying the world rather having our faces glued to screens is beneficial for everyone's well being. The lakes district is so beautiful looking forward to getting back there one day. Cheers from New Zealand!
I grew up in the Lowther Valley, Nan Bield Pass was my stomping ground, only this was over 30 years ago on rigid MTB's with cable brakes! I still love single track riding! Cheers boys.
What a fantastic video. I wouldn't say going out in shit whether taking on difficult climbs is my idea of MTB heaven, but the same rules apply no matter what the ride. I do not have mental health issues and I do think the whole mental heath thing is a result of a nano state, not helped by people with their noses stuck onto the screen of mobile phones. I think it lessens the cause and recognition of the people who do genuinely need support for something more that miss placing their charger. So good on you Rob for bringing a sense of balance to the subject of well being and one of 'the cures' in the form of eMTB.
A truly inspirational video!! Definitely going to make it my mission to get out about on the bike, just got back on it after 6 years being off the saddle!! Thank you for this amazing video!!
Very good video Rob ! I’ve done Helvellyn with my Spaniel ! We got caught in the mega wind at the top! She was shivering! So I stuck her inside my jumper and made my way back down! Didn’t put her off , we got back in the car and headed for Dumyat to meet family and of course ride the mountains!
Fab video mate. I live 90 mins from Keswick and spend slot of time over there riding. Just getting my van lifted out to spend more time. Loved the vid you put into words how I feel when I ride there 👍
Absolutely so true, well done Rob and crew. BEAT YOUR SCREEN TIME.! I've gotta remember that. I'm hearing good things about these Focus Throns for people wanting an easy to ride all rounder!
Fun video, thanks. Lakes is my closest decent riding & if don't go out in the rain & wind, I'd rarely get out. We don't call it the Cold, Dark, North for nothing. Glad you got some good rides in though & good effort on Nan Bield
Amazing video! Reminds me of my school trips to the Lake District, walking with mates and eating my Kendal Mint Cake way too soon! Loved it Rob and team!
Beautifully put together video. I'd been on the fence regarding getting an emtb. I'm in love with my Radon Swoop, but rides over 3 hours or 500m+ ascents can really take the fun out of things, and even ruin the descents when I've just got no legs left. This video just sold an emtb to me.
Did those rides last September with my bro. We got caught in hellish winds near the top of Helvellyn - never experienced anything like it. It was totally alien and scary at times. Nan Bield Pass nearly killed me with all the hiker biking 🤣 stunning scenery though. Great vid, brought back the fun, experience and pain 👍
@@RobRidesEMTB Yep. It's definitely the hardest ride I've ever done. Lumping up my Levo on the second climb was not much fun. It was a sunny beautiful day though, breathtaking views, great company and wicked photos to remember it all 👍
Just came across the video. Truly inspiring and has made me want to get up off my arse, buy a bike and have some time away from the daily struggles. Nice one
Fantastic video Rob, currently checking my screen time and I'm sitting at 3h 40m for today, up 14% from last week. I crave for the weekend when I can ride my ebike. Stay safe my friend.
Bloody fantastic! A man after my own heart 🙂 Walked Hellvellyn a few times but that would be an epic as well as scary riding across striding edge 🚵🏻♂️ get it done 😆👍
Its 1 hr from my front door, I live in the place every chance I get. Whinlatter..Grizedale..Ambelside. Its endless and so bike friendly, once the crowds die down I'll be back. Great vid..drone shots and not boring once. 9.5/10 You lose .5 for rubbing our noses in it.
Absolutely fabulous. Enjoyed it all so much. The ride and the scenery. Just a question what is the Controller in the centre of the handlebar? I’m just waiting on delivery of my Focus Jarifa2. Cheers from Australia
Rode it for about 4 days now and it’s an absolutely cracking bike. Playful and super fun. Great ‘value’ also benchmarked against the rest of the industry. I’d happily recommend it to anyone..
Another Awesome video Rob, Im almost 63 and have owned my Thron2 6.8 for a little while now and is the best thing I have ridden since my Mtn racing days (80’s till early 90’s) when I rode a Cannondale (till now I have said nothing compares to it, the Thron fit like a glove only change was a 50 mm rise bars) but I would dearly like to get a Focus Thron riding jersey, where can you get them from
Great Video Rob, Inspiring, love your narration, your voice and manor are great, Brilliant topic, being with friends or being on your own but exploring unseen places! I will definitely be going to the lakes now ! Keep it up ! Also where do you get you music I love all your soundtracks!
They are great bikes mate. Excellent value and are super fun. I wholeheartedly recommend them. Coped really well with the terrain throughout. You can't go wrong with the FOCUS Jam2 or the THRON.
As usual another great video Rob, fantastic filming a real atmosphere to it. Just keep on doing what you do , We did Snowdon last winter in those conditions ,a real adventure.
Want to do Snowdon!
The story telling, camera work, music choice and overall message were top notch! 😁👌👌 Nice Documentary !!!
Awesome, thank you!
@@RobRidesEMTB totally agree! Do you do the drone work yourself, or do you have a camera guy/gal with you?

This was like a mountain bike version of Carfection with a Henry Catchpole-esque voice over. Great video 👍

Great video Rob. Hope you do a few more like that.
I’d do that ride any day even with the wind. That’s living for sure. 🤘🏼
Great video Rob. This is exactly why I ride bikes, road bikes, mtb, emtb, gravel bikes or even just a commuter, love the escapism and adventure. 👍🏻

Incredible scenery, and your cinematography and voice over was brilliant Rob. Well done.
Sick video man! I just got my focus Jarifa last week and love it 🤩🤘🏻
Great vid Rob. Recognised the path going up Gatescarth and PMSL as soon as you said "easy".
Well, maybe ‘challenging’ was the better word. It’s a nice one to test the bike / technical climbing on!

Haha!! We did check it in the morning and Scrubbed the Helvellyn idea, but this just came in on us quick..!!

Did you manage to do those rides on a single battery or did you take another with you ?
HI Rob, any words to the Focus Jam2? How do you like it? Can you share some experiences?
Rode it for about 4 days now and it’s an absolutely cracking bike. Playful and super fun. Great ‘value’ also benchmarked against the rest of the industry. I’d happily recommend it to anyone..
