    Like the Man said, the ozone-ator shorted (water back flowed through its 10 year old check valve)! Thanks Spa Man!

    Thanks Spa Man! Excellent video, very informative, and i like that you go home and find out why something doesnt work, Not many would bother. Anyway ive had flow problems for months, intermittently, so im gonna try this fix, as you cant just replace the flow sensor on a gecko (unfortunately) Keep posting! Good on ya!

    Good vid. I would have put the cover on before starting it so in the event your work didnt work and it leaks it does spray on the circuit board.

    Hello, I own an Emerald Spa DS4, 2004 I believe, and I recently moved and brought my hot tub as well. The tub actually was not functional for the past year and a half though, due to the heater being fried as well as the pressure switch, but before I figured this out, I replaced the circuit board, the fuses, even the transformer.. I replaced the circuit board because I noticed that the control pack box was open for who knows how long and it looked like water got in and did alot of damage.. 1 spot that was really noticeable, yet not on the "actual" circuit board, but rather the wire terminal, was the spot where the red wire and the white wire go in was melted... I was able to reconnect the red wire without any issue, however I can't seem to find the neutral wire that would connect to the circuit board... Meaning I have the 4 wires coming from my gfci box, the black, red, green and white, and they go INTO the wire terminal in the tub's power pack, the green comes out of the terminal and splits up and all grounds connects to where they should, the black also properly connects to the board as with the red, but as for the white... There just isn't one... Coming out of the terminal that is. Period... So long story short, my main question is: Where does the neutral wire usually go after the wire terminal? Basically where does it connect on the circuit board, if at all? I can't find a single schematic or diagram, even a single picture of a Emerald Spa DS4's power pack with the door open so I can use it as a reference.... Any help would be more than appreciated... If u can help with this, I'll order all my remaining parts through
    you exclusively....lol

    spa man. question I have the exact Gecko controller and its tripping my 50a breaker. I've disconnected the pumps, heater and it still trips. I checked both incoming wires Red/Black and both read 121V. If all devices are unhooked from the controller and it still trip? Does it mean the controller is bad?

    Hello I'm wondering if the heater was just leaking or if it wasn't working properly. If it was just a leak, can't you just replace the gaskets? I have this same spa and it's only a couple years old. I needed to get access to the heater pipe (rag got sucked in) and when I put it back together there is a terrible leak at the joining pieces. I feel I really got it tightened down but I thought I would get a spanner and tighten a little more without damaging. Any ideas?

    Was there an issue with the heater that wasn’t mentioned? Why replace the entire heater for a gasket replacement and possible element change if corroded?

    • @spaman5440
      @spaman5440  3 роки тому +3

      The Heater was not working and if you replace just the element you run the risk of it leaking.Ive never had good luck replacing the elements in the past and have stopped doing it that way....If I replace the entire heater , tube , sensors and everything the problem aways goes away..Hope that Helps. I've got nearly the same setup on my Dr. Wellness G12 Tub from 2014. I've got a FLO error. Pulled the filters, and it's still there. Installed new filters and with or without, it's still throwing FLO. All jets are open. There is a REDICUOLOUS amount of foam behind the access so I can't locate the FLO sensor. Any ideas??

    • @spaman5440
      @spaman5440  6 місяців тому +1

      Depending on the age of the sensors and how often you change the water and how well you are taking care of the chemicals in the hot tub...
      Problem no Flo error
      (1) Filter
      (2) sensors
      (3) Diverter is broken or in wrong position
      (4)worn out or broken impeller
      Lastly do the tubes on the inside have a lot of crap or scum ? we use this product to plush and clean amzn.to/3S4k6up
      and it has helped in some cases like this

    Hello again Spa Man. Question: Can I replace a Gecko Heater 9920-101435 with a 9920-101449? Seems the only difference is that the 435 is 4Kw and the 449 is 5.5Kw. Or are are other differences? Thanks in advance

    Having issues with blown fuses for pump 2. I checked pump and it's capacitor and it checked out. Had it running dry at 220v drawing 5.1 amps so that seems OK. Now it would seem that my geco spa pack also has a capacitor for the pump and that it may have blown. If that's the case, do you think replacing it myself is feasible?

    • @spaman5440
      @spaman5440  3 роки тому

      If you can find the part and You have the skills then Yes go for it get it done...My first question is what caused it to blow(chicken or the egg)If the motor/pump is older then 7 years I would have it completely rebuilt motor and wet side... As for the board there has to be a reason it blew ...The fact it is a Geco pac could be the reason.. Its a good product but it is a cheaply built product .. Hope this Helps Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING

      @@spaman5440 Thanks again for helping me out on this issue. I really appreciate your input. Now assuming I need to replace the geco pack once again, is it possible to replace it with another better built pack from a different company? Also if I have pump 2 rebuilt, will the cost of that be substantially lover than the cost of buying a new one?
      And if I was filthy rich, i wouldnt even be here. Ide replace the whole spa.
