He really got that 70's dead tom sound...sounds just like the 70's funk vibe...diggin' this level of detail. Funk will come back strong soon...way over due...magic in a bottle waiting to be released. He doesn't play a lot of doubles which is odd...because the music he plays doesn't call for it...compare to the 2008 PASIC clinic performance...
First of all "deadboy600" you just showed your ignorance by getting into using profanity concerning my 3 word comment.....Please be man/boy Mature enough to respect a person's opinion....Your partially blind comment I could have possibly taken, Then you had to input the Racist part in your comment. And it is a Racist comment that you think all Black people look alike....How do you know larry temp's intentions in his comment?? This comment is thrown around way to much
kicksNdrums the song sure sounds like there’s one at the end of both pre-choruses, but yeah I can’t tell. The way they mixed it is what’s confusing me. If it is a crash hit, it’s pretty suttle. I just listened to the song & I’d say that the big crash hit Stanley is talking about is indeed a lot more obvious, at the last part of the song
Haha every time something goes wrong with the mix or the kit the guy just runs across the audience to fix it. He should just be a tech behind Stanley. Great clinic nonetheless
Wow woooooooo DW ❤❤❤❤❤ super luxury brand infact ❤❤❤in my opinion DW is the best drums on the world infact ❤ please send me DW 😂😂😂😂😂 I need DW really just 😂😂😂😂 I live in Iran and here is not DW even 1 kit 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great groove. I don’t hear much new. But he’s killer. But I gotta say...those drums sound boxy and lifeless. Why does everyone and his dog play DW? I don’t get it.
DW is the it thing right now. The build quality, and attention to detail is second to none. With that being said thier not my first choice of drums. I've watched countless videos, played some kits at different stores. Seen cats use them live micd and unmicd. Not my cup of tea. Give me any level of Grestch kit with coated heads and decent symbols, and I'm a happy camper. Plus my wallet won't be flat either.
Thanks, MI for that great masterclass.
Stanley one of the best drummer i have ever seen.
Love Stanley's playing!!! Does anyone have his old shed with Billy Powell over Giant Steps....It was EPIC!!
Myspace my guy
Not only only technique but dynamics, he's got it all.
This Clip is sooo much important!!! Try to picture it in detail!!
Amazing, sick drummer and so much wisdom and humour
Bomb clinic. High-level information without arrogance is always beautiful.

He's amazing. Of course people are not always kind. Superstion was spot on
"Superstion (sp) was spot on"....LMAO....You do realize that he is Stevie Wonder's drummer, right?
Drumming starts at 3:29

ur peepee , I don't know. Just letting people know how much to skip. I didn’t even listen myself because of the mix.
3:37 is when the playing starts.
There is him and there is no one else above

Great clinic
I love this man wow
As a bass player and former band leader, i can confirm: STAY IN THE POCKET!!
There’s more than 1 crash in rock with you. JR hits one when they go from the bridge to the chorus after the verses. And the final out.
He ain't lying!
Oh THAT'S why he rocks his head.
The first tune remind me of my times watching slam dunk!
Thanks
Love Randolph ;.))

kicksNdrums
What is the part in the video where he plays it..?
kicksNdrums the song sure sounds like there’s one at the end of both pre-choruses, but yeah I can’t tell. The way they mixed it is what’s confusing me. If it is a crash hit, it’s pretty suttle. J. Christiann What do you expect from the overrated D.W. drums!!!
Great groove. I don’t hear much new. But he’s killer.
But I gotta say...those drums sound boxy and lifeless.

Just gotta say, the mixing isnt the greatest. Should be a much nicer mix than this. Poor form.
Haydes Wharewaka His form is poor??
jak3xnxbake production.
They need Adam "Nolly" Getgood.
One of the absolute best mixers out there!
Too much fills compared to the original song, nevertheless great drumming.
jorje3333 It's a drum clinic, not a gig. ;)
Crappy DW stand - hate their hardware.
maybe he should get some exercise instead, funny how so many colored drummers are extremely overweight..
ur mom overweight
The arrogant chewing gum makes him even more arrogant
let it go people !
You gotta love the humble ones.
Theres a vid here on YT that he explains the toms on the other side...has to do w/the Stevie gig & being true to the original sound
