I couldn't tell why I saw people complaining about the toms at first but the second I put my headphones on I understood. Those things need some tuning. Still Tue man killed it.

I love his workshop overall. I learned at lot however the toms sound a little to high to me. It might of been how they had them mic'd because it seem like they turned them down they seem like they were tuned right but Idk. Overall great workshop I loved it.

Agreed, though it's not so much the drums themselves, but an incompetent sound engineer who doesn't know how to mic drums properly. Especially the floor tom mic is pointed straight at the bearing edge, and the other two toms mics are pointed only an inch or so away from the bearing edge instead of towards the center of the drum. Kick, snare and cymbals sound great, but toms are awful.

It’s just the mic placement. You can see the Tom mics are printed straight down and they’re too close to the head.
