Picked one up yesterday and unboxed this afternoon once I got the area set. It is sweet. Bright, beautiful, and bodacious. When I first played something I thought the sound wasn't that good...but I hadn't switched from my MBP speakers to the ASD. Click BOOM. The sound is so satisfying....and everything else you said is so true. Ordered a 12South backpack for the time machine. AND at $300 off...so worth it. It may even improve my posture because now I am looking up instead of down on my desk...Again, THANKS!
Bro, at 1:30 you’ve got True Tone turned on. Well of course the images from the studio display aren’t going to match with the iPhone!! You have to make sure you turn off True Tone when editing on Lightroom and comparing with what’s on your iPhone.
@@aryan.9 You've probably got True Tone turned on for the iphone then. The Studio Display and Iphone are calibrated to give you exactly the same colour gamut
I’m about to buy a M3 max MacBook Pro so you’re telling me that I do not have to connect it to the wall with the power box that comes with the laptop. I could just connect it to the screen and it will charge? Also, is it recommended to have it connected at all times? I am planning to use the Apple display for my MacBook Pro 24 seven and I am just wondering which way to connect it to the wall and I also heard that by connecting it to the wall all day it doesn’t affect the battery. Just want to get your input thank you.
You just have to connect it to the screen and it will charge. While I’m working on my laptop I keep it plugged in but overnight and when I don’t need it to be charged I usually unplug it from the display
Do you hear a weird buzzing noise that sounds like electrical static emanating from your monitor? I had one briefly and returned it due to this issue, gutting. Saw others had this issue but their replacements had the same issue so I didn't bother.
Yo for the Photo editing Part you might want to stay away from full brightness. There are actually some color profiles built in specifically for that which even lock the brightness at a dimmer level. 600nit is just way to bright, typically calibrated monitors sit at 120nit or even under that for photo work. (Also might want to turn off true tone for an accurate white balance :) )
The fact is staying within ther ecoysystem is key. Even Safari. They have modified all their devices recently to THEIR chipsets and all their devices share similar making it all work virtually semlessly perfect!😁
In 2024, you can find this item at a cheaper price. I saw it for $1,200 in the U.S., but again, is it really worth it? Also, people who purchased it loved it.
@@PeteandPan Because there is 11 years between each of Apple’s previous display releases. I also haven’t seen any improvements in display technology that Apple could already add to their next display.
@@ThomasVanhelden Mmmm I see the pattern. Yet there are some leaks claiming they will make Studio Display with some updates matching better with the apple silicon series. Anyway... Let's see... Have great day.
its not possible at the moment due to bandwidth limitations. 5k has 75% more pixels than 4k to give you an idea. There are also ports on the back of the display which will share that bandwidth. thunderbolt 4 and usbc-4 don't have enough bandwidth for it.

I’ve had NO ISSUES with color between monitor and iPhone. There may be some settings off. We use them at work and have no such issues.
Yes indeed. In the video the True Tone setting is turned on: which often match with more saturated colors
Bro those Apple monitors from 12 plus years ago are still amazing. Yours is sick
Good review and helpful for my decision to buy. Only question left is....What was that cool ambient light to the left of the monitor?
It’s a nanlite pavotube!

I turn True Tone off for editing, just not while filming this vid

That’s a great point. I’ve been starting to turn t down the brightness. Thanks for the suggestion⚡️

I wait for the next model to finally get it.
It's highly likely you'll be waiting another 9 years.
@@ThomasVanhelden Mmmm 9 years? I think 2 years max. What makes you think we have to wait that long? Have a great day!

@@PeteandPan it’s not definitive proof by any means. It’s just all I have to go on. What exactly are the enhancements to be added in the rumours?
1:11 The Display is positioned way too low for you and you are crouching. Ergonomic tip: the top of the Display should be at eye level. Cheers.
Do you think, it is a great purchase, even for beginner music producers? :)
Yes I think this is a great monitor in general!
@aryan.9 Thank you 🙂
Vibes !
Honestly 😉
A 2k monitor with a 60 hz refresh rate is kinda wild lol
Hoping for 120hz on the next one
It is a 5k display
