That’s cool fam. Honestly I picked up fishing around 2019 and I was a little freaked out about touching a fish. Then after multiple catches with a sabiki I had to unhooked them myself or risk letting them die if I kept being a bitch. It’s a new thing for some, but doing it with friends makes it quite an experience for sure. I ended having my buddies fish with me and some I taught how to grab different species of fishes. Ya’ll stay blessed, tight lines.
I’m not afraid to touch fish, I’ve been fishing since I was like five, but I have been barbed by a catfish, over an inch deep in the base of my thumb, and that definitely didn’t feel good. I still don’t care to hold the,, just learned to hold them a little differently

By that logic, No one should be fishing. Someone had to be the first to struggle to figure out how to get the hook back out of the fish.
