He didn’t really hide much from him though. He straight up told him the mice was dead and that the people in weed thought he assulted that girl. He even told him that he keeps doing bad things

The book has such a sad ending, it's a classic sure. But fair warning if you haven't read most of the classic books then you're in for alot of crying.

My English teacher junior year had a rule that you had to read the last chapter of the book in class. So we all get there, expecting a nice happy ending, and then we read through the chapter. Even some of the boys started to cry. It was just a classroom of crying teenagers (myself included) and us barraging the teacher with the question, “Why did we have to read this?!” I cried a lot when I read that.

James Franco starred in this sketch in 2008. 8 years later he would play Jake Epping in the TV-series adaptation of Stephen King's 11/22/63. In the book, Jake Epping as a English teacher has his drama class star in "Of Mice and Men".
James Franco also played George in the Broadway revival of of Mice and Men
Last year I actually had an assignment to right and alternate ending for this book. I wish I had seen this

Haven't read this in a while, but in the actual story he doesn't really lie to Lenny that much. The ranch he's gonna raise the rabbits on is a real ambition, George's faith that they will actually make that happen, fluctuates. Pretty sure Lenny knows he killed that mouse and those people.
Ahh, poetic justice. Now that's how the real movie should've ended.

There really isn't. They're both fundamental parts of life that if misunderstood or not known about, can have negative or disastrous consequences. Death is the ultimate human fear. Sex should be easy by comparison.

Flashbacks to English lit, analysing and evaluating the underlying message in Steinbecks novel.... and then going bounty hunting.
This makes me feel better now, I cried when I watched the movie

Fun fact: I read this in my 10th grade class and we were tasked with writing one final chapter that concludes the events of the book.
So I decided to turn the story into a survival horror story. We learn that the real reason that George killed Lennie was because Curly paid him handsomely. But the task wasn't over, for as we learn... George was paid to kill everyone.
Soon, more bodies fall. First Carlson. Then Whit. Then Candy's new dog. Not believing the rumors, the boss confronts Curly...only to be doubled up on with George, and soon his own suffering was over. Crooks dies next, but not before putting up a fight that superficially injures George. Candy sacrifices himself by blowing himself and Curly up. Finally, with no where else to turn and facing imminent death from George, Slim is able to read from the Necronomicon. Out of nowhere, hundreds of spirits of dead rabbits congregate to George and swirl around him, tearing his flesh and ending his life. The day is won...but for how long?
My teacher was less than impressed. I was given a C+.

I remember watching this when it first aired and my roommate and I were cracking up. I'm 99% it was the first sketch that Bobby Moynihan was in, it was the last sketch of the episode, and it was the first episode of the season.

The alternative ending didn’t make sense, curley’s wife died bc she had her neck snapped not bc of the gun, in this sketch lennie said George killed curley’s wife bc George has a gun and the guys believed lennie
It was one of the other farmhands gun (a Luger to be more precise) George stole it to kill Lennie and Curly thought it was Lennie who stole the gun
I have never heard of this story or ever read it in my life, just saw the shooting scene image in a meme once last year. And watching this I instantly knew this is the same story.
