I'm just going to take a moment to say that your channel is the most aesthetically pleasing thing on this earth. Dunno if you hear that a lot or not, but I had to say it ^^
Benefits of being stuck at home sick: getting to watch a whole episode in one sitting without interruption (our internet is so slow that I have to fight for bandwidth in the evening). Great video, as usual. I too have come to a trailhead at night and not being able to find the trailhead.
Haha, glad we can help you enjoy being sick a bit more! Hope you get better soon, though :) Haha, yeah, starting a trip at night and struggling to find your way is becoming a pretty familiar experience with us. Thanks for watching! -Andrew
Just tuning into this channel for the first time (recommended through watching JoeRobinetbushcraft), and I'm an instant subscriber. I love the serenity, attention to imagery, and overall poetic-ness of what you guys bring. It feels like going on a hike. Much success to your channel. I'm glad I found it.
Awesome, Joe Robinet is great! Thank you so much for checking us out, and thank you for subscribing! Thanks so much for the kind words as well - cheers! -Andrew
I don't know how you guys don't have more viewers and subscribers. Seriously one of my favorite channels, these videos are my way of getting out and having adventures without going anywhere in the middle of my busy work week. The video quality, along with the music and just how genuine you guys are really makes every video enjoyable keep up the great work!
Thank you so much - that really means a lot to us! Really glad they help you escape during the work week. The videos kind of came about as a way for us to have something to watch when we wanted to escape too, haha. Again, thanks so much for the kind words, and thank you for watching! -Andrew
This channel combines the exploration of nature as well as the exploration of the inner man. I think the woods and a camp fire have a way of sanding down our rough edges and cause us all to look inward and examine our spiritual side (what makes us US), reflect and be thankful.
Your drone was paid for at the beginning of this video, where it was able to find the road that led to the trailhead you were looking for. I love the idea of the drone. And that probably comes from a lifelong desire to fly. LOL At least in my dreams. Haha. Keep on dreaming!
The ad hasn't even ended and I already gave it a thumbs up because I know this video is going to be something good, I love you guys. You guys are probably my favorite content creators ok UA-cam
this dude who knows bushcraft and plants and fungi is an inspiration. Unfortunately, I'm from Italy so 99% of the stuff you describe does not live in the Alps :P But still, this is an incredible channel and you are all amazing and I'm "angry" at youtube for not showing me this channel earlier. Andrew from Milan, Italy
I also wanna add that coconut and egg does not work because there is no gluten from flour. The idea itself is very nice, also please consider that cooking on coals can bring heat very fast and you don't want it for pancakes or they will stick. I hope I helped.
Spent this weekend binge watching most of seasons 2 and 3. One more episode to go but I just became a Patreon supporter. The quality and production value of your shows is seriously better than a lot of tv shows these days, and you deserve to be paid for this. Wish I could afford to give more. Anyway, keep making great stuff, and it would be real cool if I could hike with you guys some day!
Oh wow, thank you very much! Honestly, any amount helps so it's much appreciated. And we're going to do a meetup at some point, so hopefully we'll be able to make that happen :) -Robby
I love all your videos, and this one was so relaxing. Usually your plant IDs are spot-on, but I have to say that rhododendrons are absolutely native to the Southern Appalachians. There are huge displays of them at Brasstown Bald in Georgia, Wayah Bald on the Appalachian Trail in NC, and Roan Mountain in TN. You can also see them along the road on the Cherohala Skyway between TN and NC.
This was made 3 years ago and I have rewatched it about four times already. So happy to start my day drinking coffee with some relaxing scene, narration, and some bushcraft.
AWESOME! I LIKE WHEN YOU USED THE DRONE .THAT WAS PRETTY COOL. THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME TAG ALONG WITH YOU GENTLEMAN. YOUR VIDEOS TAKE YA AWAY FROM WHAT'S GOING ON IN REAL TIME , LIFE. BE SAFE! HAVE FUN! SMILE! GOD BLESS YOU ALL ALWAYS! ENJOYED!
Absolutely, thank you for tagging along! Glad to hear they can help you escape for a bit :) Cheers, and thanks so much again for watching, and for your comment! -Andrew
The desert Poppy bloom this spring in Ca. will be spectacular. I sure hope you fellas will show it to me. The rains this year will bring a display of flowers not seen in years.
I really hope Thomas gets some footage of it!! Not sure if we'll be able to make it out soon enough, unfortunately, but I really hope Thomas does, haha. Cheers! -Andrew
You did yet another phenomenal job. Getting lost in the woods is getting to be part of your camping tradition and that is all part of the fun. It makes for a proper camping experience.
Absolutely loved your video. How can such great editing, quality and content be so hidden and unseen. I have subscribed and can't wait to watch the rest of your videos in the next 5 hours.
Guys, I LOVE YOU. But heres a CRUCIAL piece of advice I hope you hear... DONT CHANGE A THING. The minute you tell someone that what theyre doing is MAGIC, they get a big head or just start changing things because they think they have to try harder to live up to all the praise. But the casual feel of these videos and how youve been doing things is what makes it so special. Just DONT CHANGE A THING!!!! My absolute favorite channel for EXACTLY what it is here and now. And as long as you guys keep doing exactly what youre doing, I KNOW more of this world will soon appreciate it as I/we all do. DONT CHANGE A THING! Its perfect. So casual like we all get to really go along and hang out with you. I love it.
Thanks musicisbrilliant! We definitely have no plans to change our formula :) In fact, we might discuss this topic in our podcast some time, cause it seems like something interesting to talk about, so keep your ears open on a future podcast! ~Bry
AWESOME! And thanks for responding. It would be beyond sad to see you guys change . I mean, how can you improve perfection. Keep it up my friends. You guys are awesome.
Also I want to give you more input if you care to hear it... The length of the videos is PERFECT. Just over an hour is absolutely perfect, any less and it wouldnt be the same AT ALL. Its A JOURNEY, everytime!!! And camping MORE THAN ONE DAY is also ESSENTIAL to get the same feel!!! Cause every full length video is LIKE A MOVIE!!! That we get to go along on!!! So thats also 100% CRUCIAL! (for the same effect) MULTIPLE overnighters, and at least an hour and 15 min video (Like yosemite which is SO GOOOOD!). THATS what makes you guys magic. I play guitar and watch, and absolutely love every second. Again I wish to thank you and all involved for your hard work.
Thanks so much for the comments! I definitely want to do more trips with more than 2 nights, but I agree - having more than one night really makes things feel like a true adventure. And it's funny, a while back we were debating video length among ourselves, because we were wondering if shorter videos, or videos cut into segments, would get more views or be more enjoyable to watch. In the end, I'm really glad we decided to keep with the long video length. Thanks so much again for watching! -Andrew
something to try on one of your trails might be to boil rice with cubes of apple in. Super easy, taste amazing cold or hot. Trust me, it tastes really lovely.
This video fed my spirit. I've been to that national park. It has always been known to be rustic and rugged. Its visitors wouldn't have it any other way. It used to be full of mountain lions (bob cats) but I don't know about that anymore. I grew up in WV but left during the early 1980s. Beautiful part of the country, "Wild and Wonderful" indeed. Your collective enjoyment of the area made me PROUD. Thanks for recalling for me so many memories through your hiking adventure there! ❤❤❤ your channel!
In May of 2017 I was on this trail and most of the others in the Tea Creek area. Later I stoped by the rangers station in Marlinton, WV and asked them to put this area on the trail maintence list as it really needed it. Tea Creek has some of the most challenging and beautiful trails. Happy hiking!
Can’t tell you how much I am grateful you ventured into the Monongahela National Forest. It is truly an underused gem and is my Forest Mother as it were. I have a river Camp in this area and this forest is my “back yard”!Really like your botanical observations too as there is a lot here. You will also find the Red Eft, the juvenile stage of theEastern Newt in abundance here which should tell us that this environment is extremely a healthy and thriving one. I will check out your other travels too. Thanks for a quality fun video!
I think this is the 4th time I've watched this video. You guys do a great service for every place you visit with your outstanding photography and communication skills. Bryan, you must do speaking on a professional basis. I use to belong to Toastmasters and give speeches in competitions and when I hear a voice like yours it hits a quality note in my ears. All of you do speak well and to listen to your different perspectives on life is really refreshing. Thank you for such great videos.
I really enjoyed this video. It reminded me of your earlier vids from season 1 only you're much more experienced now. In it I see the simplicity of your earlier vids since much of your newer ones are in more "epic" places. The editing was spot on, and I felt the music complimented the action nicely. About the rhododendrons - there are two large leaved species native to eastern North America, R. maximum and R. catawbiense. The former is found throughout the Appalachian Mountains and surrounding piedmont regions, while the latter is confined to mountains from central Virginia south to Georgia. Likely you were seeing mostly R. maximum, though on the higher exposed ridges you probably also saw R. catawbiense. Both are lovely in flower, though R. catawbiense is a real jewel in flower. Those dense patches you find are called "laurel hells" down south.
For sure - it's always good to go and visit the simpler, lesser known places :) So glad you enjoyed the video. That is awesome to know about the Rhododendrons - I've always wondered about the specific species, but never looked it up, haha. With how tangled they can get, that's a pretty apt name for them, haha. Cheers, and it's always great to see you drop some knowledge! -Andrew
@@AdventureArchives Andrew - You probably already know this by now, but in case you didn't, there's also a Pacific Rhododendron if you ever run into them out west : nativeplantspnw.com/pacific-rhododendron-rhododendron-macrophyllum/ I love your videos! Thanks for all the effort you all put into it :)
I want to find Maitake in the wild so badly. Andrew, my friend, in response to one of your statements at the end sadly not all struggles pass. Some struggles people are born with, must live with, and will die with. The key is to learn to love the little things and develop hobbies that you love, but you know that.
You guys are incredibly talented! I stumbled upon your vids when I had the flu and since then I've watched all and some 2 and 3x. I was amazed when I found out you do all the music as well. You could all become successful new age artists. It's so refreshing to watch young people enjoying nature and inspiring others to do the same. You combine my two favorites - nature and music. Also interesting to see you are "neighbors" from Columbus area as I live an hours drive north. Going to purchase a couple of your albums. I'm very selective of what I contribute to and this is so worth it!
Epic! Folks, you've made another great video. It's great you're willing to share the ups and downs some trips take; you always keep going and succeeding. I've been badly misled by mapping apps in parks and the back country. And I've used several online and offline apps. It's rare to find the standard apps with topographic features and accurate roads and trails. So I usually use apps to get me to the general area via main roads and then use a USGS or similar high detail topo map. Analog maps have saved my ass many times. The US Forest Service maps don't always have enough detail or context, though a lot of the regional stations have better maps than what you can find online, and most of the folks in those stations enjoying chatting with hikers and visitors. You can sometimes get great suggestions and advice on things to see and do speaking with the Rangers and staff. Anyway, it's really easy to get lost in the back woods at night, especially if it's you're first time in the area. Y'all recovered well and got some real rewards from having the drone for aerial recon. As always high quality video, audio, and editing. I'm looking forward to the hopefully coming sometime soon Japan episode. Especially the mystery night Cheers!
Thanks so much! Yeah, we definitely need to get more of those topo maps beforehand, haha. I have definitely noticed a lot of National Forest maps that are available online leave a lot to be desired. But yeah, I've always found the best thing to do when planning a trip is to chat wit the rangers as well, even if it is through a phone call. Of course, they appreciate when you've done some prior research, but talking with somebody is such a good way to clarify things. Thanks again for the kind words, thank you for your support, and I hope you enjoyed the Japan episode! Cheers! -Andrew
Very philosophical, always a nice touch. Your videos are so stunning. BTW, I think the mushroom with brown spores was a Gymophyllus, and the pseudo-puffball was an earthball, or Scleroderma. I always enjoy your information about plants and mushrooms. Foraging is so much fun, isn't it? Looking forward to your next video.
Earthball or Scleroderma citrinum does not have well defined opening and it disperses spores by rupturing the thick peridium. Common puffball or pear-shaped puffball (Lycoperdon piriformis) on the other hand has a well defined opening on top and it disperses spores by outside pressure applied to the sac such as rain drops, etc.
Yup! The second one was definitely scleroderma. I think poison pigskin puffball is another common name for earthball (common names get confusing, haha). Is Gymnophyllus a genus? I'm not familiar with that one as much. Foraging is a great deal of fun! I'm excited for spring when all the edible plants and mushrooms come back, haha. Cheers! -Andrew
I am hoping that as you young men continue on your journey through life that you always have beautiful mornings and days of adventure , that truly is the spice of life. . . not so sure about the coconut pancakes though :-)
Thank you so much for the kind words! We'll keep it up as best we can :) Haha, the coconut pancakes weren't quite what we expected them to be. Cheers! -Andrew
As an Ohio native, I like the way you capture the essence of regional woodlands. Now I live in CA, and if you want to do something out here, highly recommend the Trinity Alps Wilderness for its beauty and accessibility. Thanks for sharing your wealth of experiences.
Looks like a beautiful place, we'll definitely have to keep that in mind! It's funny how much the woods in this region feel like home, whereas wilderness out west feels like a some sort of grand destination on an adventure. Thanks for watching! Cheers! -Andrew
Beautiful capture. The forest and campfire brings peace to my soul. Missing out on Country Fried Steak is just wrong. Watching you guys experiment and share food in these vids cracks me up. Hiking makes you hungry
Great Episode...like bushwacking with markers. AA rituals include arriving after dark, whittling cooking utensils, and mid night storms (just missed you this time). I'd love to see a behind the scenes vid on production...especially the music. Peace
The jar of sauerkraut. Its a Robbie staple. LOL I never noticed it the first time I watched this. Now that I've watched a ton of your videos and I am re-watching this episode again, that jar of fermented cabbage goodness stood out like a sore thumb. LOL
I am really into the Kimchi! I absolutely love it and often get scolded at work for eating it. It literally stinks up the entire office! I've made my own also and it is amazing to watch the process.
You guys to a geniunely amazing job with these videos. They are visually stunning, entertaining, inspiring and with great storytelling that calls your viewers to appreciate nature. You also do a far better job than many commercial media productions. Keep up the great work.
The spine Brian use the SPINE!! of your knife on ferro rod.. You're killing your edge. I'm surprised Andrew didn't yell at ya for that! ;) Love the coconut pancakes experiment. Just so much fun to watch because you have such good humors about the ups and downs, it makes it fun for the audience!
Haha, yeah it was andrews knife, but he uses the edge and doesn't care if we do because he sharpens his knife constantly. He also says his knife doesn't have a sharp edge on the spine so it doesn't work that way anyways.
Thank you so much for the high praise! Glad you think this is our best! We always worry the lesser known places won't be quite as impressive, but it's good to hear you say that. Thanks for watching! -Andrew
Awesome vid guys! I truly envy you with the adventures you're just starting. Relish these memories, as I have with mine. Life and responsibility quickly make trips and new memories rapidly wane.
Thanks so much! We will definitely relish the memories. These trips outdoors are some of our fondest memories to look back on. Thanks for your comment, and thanks so much for watching! -Andrew
Love this love the laughs and nature and Andrews expertise with the plant life . Very well done and thanks for taking us with you to this awesome forest .
One word, Magical. I'm just 8 minutes in the adventure, and I have to say that this video is going to become my most favorite episode. Yes, I know, you can't beat Algonquin, or even Yosemite! But this one. This one seems like it's going to take the reign. I was literally hoping at this point in time that you made it out alive out of there. Then I took a few seconds to think and went like, well you are watching it, so eh, you know... And the fact that you took all those weird "roads" and I put the word "roads" in quotes because at one point I was like, they're on the trail... they are driving on the freaking trail! And laught out loud, that's right, that's even louder than the usual lol. You took all those magical roads, that would bring you to your most exiting and enlighten quest so far. OK, I have to stop writing this and go actually continue to watch your adventure. I'm only 8 minutes and 20 seconds in. Good job guys, you are talented' good hearted’ beings. Thank you for sharing your live's adventures. It always brings me not only joy, useful information on survival, hicking camping tips, discovering different species of life from mushrooms, plants, trees, to human behaviours and thinking, to inlightement, and some useful toiletteries tips, but it also brings me hope. Hope in humanity and the survival of our word. So again thank you guys. I'll be forever grateful.
Wow, thanks so much for the kind words! It really means a lot to us when people enjoy the episodes that take place at lesser known areas. Haha, we were thinking that "road" resembled a trail as well! It was so rough and rocky, haha. Thank you again for the kind comment. And as always, thanks so much for watching - you inspire us to make these videos! -Andrew
Have never done anything like this before, but your videos make me want to, I have watched them all. Its amazing to learn life lessons and watch you guys be one with nature!! Keep it up guys
Thanks for the great video and content as usual. Your adventures always inspire me to go camping. Your descriptions and thoughts about the feelings of getting out in nature is always spot on.
The message of this trip and what you guys wrote at the end of the episode sure is timely now with this pandemic we are all fighting. glad to have re-watched this one tonight. much love guys and stay safe everyone.
Brian, thanks for mentioning dipping rolls in mashed potatos. My family would look at me like I had a third eye in my forehead when I would make a mashed potato sandwich with a roll at Thanksgiving.
I'm so happy to see you guys out and about again. I love the amount of support you are all getting. I think one of the things that definitely set your channel apart from the rest is the music. I always feel like I'm playing a video game when I'm watching the videos, like the movie clip of the story between the part of the game you actually play. Love the channel and keep up the great videos.
Thanks so much for the kind words! That's awesome - the music is definitely inspired in part by videogames and the sense of adventure we got from them. Cheers, and thank you for watching! -Andrew
More likes are needed, if you viewed the video... Give them a like help support them! Great video guys, truly appreciate the time you all put into these. I just hope more people view it more often so its worth your time. -Note 21:15 don't breathe in too many spores, they can cause minor to serious respiratory issues.
+Edible Knowledge Thank you so much! Your comment is greatly appreciated :) So glad you like the videos. And for sure, you definitely don't wanna go inhaling the spores haha. But some people seem to worry being near them when you smack them a bit will hurt you. Thanks so much for watching!
Completely agreed, Cheers guys.. Keep up the good work, and keep learning. -Crazy warm weather were having for Feb... lol, Been outside identifying the spring greens in the yard.
Its been great but short lived It'll be back to the 20's next week; I wasn't able to find too many mushrooms during the warm front but I do have some Inky caps growing in a bale of hay I dedicated to the bugs. Lets just hope this cold will kill the ticks off for a little.
using the drone was awesome use of modern tech! loved seeing it put to something practical besides getting amazing aerial shots. subscribed and becoming a big fan of your channel and will recommend to friends. I am Canadian and loved your Algonquin video.
Go subaru!!!! I have owned two in the past few years. They are tough ass little cars. My first caught on fire and drove home. (rear end got hot) I fixed the rear, and than drove it for a few months more before the transmission went out. That subaru had all wheel drive, and could plow through anything. It was the campmobile with my freinds as we could pack everything we need into the bag and still be comfy for the drive to the trail head. Second Subaru is my current one. 255k miles and still rolling (knock on wood).
It's definitely nice having a reliable car, haha. It's funny, the way that exchange went it sounded like some commercial, but it was just us trying to figure out if the car would be able to get through the rough road. Cheers! -Andrew
Thanks for helping me get through the winter, guys. The camera work on this one is exceptional. I've watched backpacking videos by others and I don't think anyone captures the essence of really being out there like you do.
Wow! There were so many spectacular shots in this one! Those autumn hills in the golden sun at the end were just incredible! It’s amazing that you were able to capture that.
This channel is the hidden gem of UA-cam.
I wouldn't mind it becoming a well known gem of youtube ;)
true true i'm glad i found this channel
I agree , i hope they don't change too much if they get a million subscribers.
I think they used to get way more views but went relatively dark for a while. Definitely a gem!
exactly just found them about a week ago
Really love that extended puff-ball scene lol
Haha, it had to be done! Cheers :) -Andrew
PERFECT VIDEO N FRIENDSHIP
I'm just going to take a moment to say that your channel is the most aesthetically pleasing thing on this earth.
Dunno if you hear that a lot or not, but I had to say it ^^
Thank you so much! That's really great to hear :)
AdventureArchives How do you know what to pack for every trip??
Most of the stuff is the same, with some variation based on weather. We'll do a video on what we pack soon!
I love the Monongahela National Forest. The area around Davis is one of my favorite places!
You guys are Awesome.
Top notch video I’m glad I found you.
Did Andrew major in Botany in college? So impressed by his knowledge of plants .... like a walking encyclopedia! Thank you, Andrew!!!!
I heard him say in another video he was self taught. He just wanted to learn about plants since he was always in the woods and just went for it.
Benefits of being stuck at home sick: getting to watch a whole episode in one sitting without interruption (our internet is so slow that I have to fight for bandwidth in the evening). Great video, as usual. I too have come to a trailhead at night and not being able to find the trailhead.

I love how the first track in the soundtrack here is like this manic, coffee-fueled epic house cleaning music

Joe is definitely awesome. Check out Shawn James. His name channel and his other channel, My Self Reliance. Really good materiel!!!
Drone changed the world.
You guys have the best videos, by a long shot.
Thank you so much!! That means a lot to us!

It just so amazing and calm siting around the campfire. Thank you for your best videos.👍👍👍
The music! So good! Reminds me of Legend of Zelda. I get a good feeling watching this video. :) Beautifully done.
I love at how there are an abundance of lifted truck in the Ohio Vally and yet this Outback has officially done more off-roading than those trucks.
Hahah, it's a trusty car! Definitely came in handy in this situation. Cheers! -Andrew
A wise man once told me.. "Any coffee in the morning is good coffee"
True that!

It was an awesome diner! And WV is such a beautiful state :) Thanks for watching! -Andrew

Hello from England. Another great video guys. Walking in woods. Perfect. No one else there. Even more perfect. Looking foward to the next one.
Thank you so much! It was definitely a great bit of solitude out there. The next episode should be up soon :) Cheers! -Andrew

In the end, I'm really glad we decided to keep with the long video length. Thanks so much again for watching! -Andrew
I love seeing what you guys bring for dinners. Always creative!
It's great to hear that! Haha, it adds some extra weight sometimes, but it's fun to see what you can put together in the woods. Cheers! -Andrew
something to try on one of your trails might be to boil rice with cubes of apple in. Super easy, taste amazing cold or hot. Trust me, it tastes really lovely.
Its cool too see how much you guys love backpacking in my home state of WV. Hopefully our trails will cross one day.
They don't say wild and wonderful for nothing! That'd be great, it's always a thrill for us to meet fans. Thanks so much for watching! :) -Andrew
Awesome vid. Like a cinematic piece of art. You guys could make a dog park adventure look great. 😊👍 Can't wait for the next one. Thanks for sharing.
Haha, thank you so much for the kind words!! So glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for watching :) -Andrew
Beautiful and philosophical!
-Andrew
@@AdventureArchives Andrew - You probably already know this by now, but in case you didn't, there's also a Pacific Rhododendron if you ever run into them out west : nativeplantspnw.com/pacific-rhododendron-rhododendron-macrophyllum/
I love your videos! Thanks for all the effort you all put into it :)
Well done, boys! Loved the call for air support ;)
Thank you so much! Haha, the drone really came in handy there :) Thanks so much for your support, and thank you for watching! -Andrew
I want to find Maitake in the wild so badly. Andrew, my friend, in response to one of your statements at the end sadly not all struggles pass. Some struggles people are born with, must live with, and will die with. The key is to learn to love the little things and develop hobbies that you love, but you know that.
just a great video. so peaceful around the fire. The trail colors are terrific. Thanks so much!
Especially the mystery night
Cheers!
Cheers! -Andrew
The Quality of your videos is really high. Great editing and post-production! Keep up the great work. Love following your adventures.
Thank you so much! We'll definitely keep it up, and thanks for watching :D We love sharing the adventures! -Andrew
i truly enjoy the visuals are breathe taking, your message inspires and shared friendships.
thanks, kat
Thanks so much for the kind words, and thank you for watching!
Cheers! -Andrew
Love your videos. Keep them coming. Thank you
I have watched all your videos. your adventure narrative is so interesting and inspiring, I am hoping to be seeing more soon.
Thanks so much for the kind words! There will defintiely be more soon!
Cheers! -Andrew
Just found this channel, can't believe I had never heard of it! Yall keep it up
Thank you for checking us out! We'll definitely keep it up, and thank you for watching :) -Andrew
Your music is beyond great
Beautiful capture. The forest and campfire brings peace to my soul. Missing out on Country Fried Steak is just wrong. Watching you guys experiment and share food in these vids cracks me up. Hiking makes you hungry
Everyone seems to be glassing and having an amazing time!
Definitely had a great time! Thanks for watching :) -Andrew
Great Episode...like bushwacking with markers. AA rituals include arriving after dark, whittling cooking utensils, and mid night storms (just missed you this time). I'd love to see a behind the scenes vid on production...especially the music. Peace
Your videos and bckpacking trips are always interesting, informative and very enjoyable. Great work, guys!
Thanks so much for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for watching! -Andrew
the drone footages were amazing, love to see more of them. Good job guys, really enjoy your adventure videos.
Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, it's always great when we can use it in the actual national forest. Thanks for watching! -Andrew
I love the Adventures you guys show on camera even when you are lost, another great Video can't wait to see where you go next!!
Thanks so much! So glad you enjoyed it, and hope you enjoy the next one as well! -Andrew
This is one awesome video love it you guys put the fun in hikeing have fun hikeing
The jar of sauerkraut. Its a Robbie staple. LOL I never noticed it the first time I watched this. Now that I've watched a ton of your videos and I am re-watching this episode again, that jar of fermented cabbage goodness stood out like a sore thumb. LOL
Hahah oh yeah, the sauerkraut is definitely a staple! Although I think Kimchi needs to make a reappearance at some point, haha
I am really into the Kimchi! I absolutely love it and often get scolded at work for eating it. It literally stinks up the entire office! I've made my own also and it is amazing to watch the process.
Fantastic! The antlers I believe were left by a sasquatch as a territory marker. You were probably being watched that night at camp.
You guys to a geniunely amazing job with these videos. They are visually stunning, entertaining, inspiring and with great storytelling that calls your viewers to appreciate nature. You also do a far better job than many commercial media productions. Keep up the great work.
Thanks so much! That's very humbling, and it means a lot to us. Really glad you enjoy the videos, and thank you so much for watching :) -Andrew
He also says his knife doesn't have a sharp edge on the spine so it doesn't work that way anyways.
thanks guys
thanks for another great video! it illustrate the true beauty of the world.
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it :) Cheers ! -Andrew
I sooo love the background music... Its so beautiful it touches my soul.. Love AA FOR LIFE❤️❤️❤️
Those pancakes were wild!
You guys make the best outdoors videos, keep it up.
One of the few channels I recommend. This is your best yet!
Thank you so much for the high praise! Glad you think this is our best! We always worry the lesser known places won't be quite as impressive, but it's good to hear you say that. Thanks for watching! -Andrew
Man i cant get enough of these videos..so well done
Thank you so much! Glad you like the videos, and thanks for watching :) -Andrew
-Andrew

Great video!! As always! I really enjoy watching your movies! I'm already looking forward to the next one! 👍
Thank you so much! So glad you enjoyed it, and the next one should be out very soon :) -Andrew
Just can't wait to see what a masterpiece the Japan episode will be :)
-Andrew
Thank you guys for all you do.
Kindest regards.
Have never done anything like this before, but your videos make me want to, I have watched them all. Its amazing to learn life lessons and watch you guys be one with nature!! Keep it up guys
@tonystraw7901 you ever give backpacking a shot since you posted this 4 years ago?
Thanks for the great video and content as usual. Your adventures always inspire me to go camping. Your descriptions and thoughts about the feelings of getting out in nature is always spot on.
Thank you so much for the kind words. So glad we can provide some inspiration, and thank you so much for watching! Cheers :) -Andrew
The message of this trip and what you guys wrote at the end of the episode sure is timely now with this pandemic we are all fighting. glad to have re-watched this one tonight. much love guys and stay safe everyone.
Dang! The drone saved the day! I would savor every blue blaze on that trail! I wonder what the Park Service’s duty is for clearing these areas.
Have been binging your adventures over the past few days... decided to become a patron so I can see more. Thanks for the awesome videos guys!
Brian, thanks for mentioning dipping rolls in mashed potatos. My family would look at me like I had a third eye in my forehead when I would make a mashed potato sandwich with a roll at Thanksgiving.
haha, what better sandwich is there?
LOVE having your trail information available! Makes it so much easier to plan my own trips inspired by yours!
Always love to see what you all will eat around the campfire
I'm so happy to see you guys out and about again. I love the amount of support you are all getting. I think one of the things that definitely set your channel apart from the rest is the music. I always feel like I'm playing a video game when I'm watching the videos, like the movie clip of the story between the part of the game you actually play. Love the channel and keep up the great videos.
Thanks so much for the kind words! That's awesome - the music is definitely inspired in part by videogames and the sense of adventure we got from them. Cheers, and thank you for watching! -Andrew
thanks guys a great video after a questionable start.
Definitely, it's been in the 60s recently! Kinda concerning, but it's also making me anxious to see some wildflowers! -Andrew
Its been great but short lived It'll be back to the 20's next week; I wasn't able to find too many mushrooms during the warm front but I do have some Inky caps growing in a bale of hay I dedicated to the bugs. Lets just hope this cold will kill the ticks off for a little.
Your video inspires me a lot.
using the drone was awesome use of modern tech! loved seeing it put to something practical besides getting amazing aerial shots. subscribed and becoming a big fan of your channel and will recommend to friends. I am Canadian and loved your Algonquin video.
missed you guys. great video. can't wait for the next one!
Thank you so much! It'll be out very soon :) -Andrew
I'm using this and the Allegheny video as research and visual reference for a story I'm writing set in Appalachia - thank you!
Hope it helps, and thank you for watching!
Glad we could help! Thanks so much for the kind words, and thank you for watching :) Cheers! -Andrew
Really beautiful shots in this one!
Another awesome adventure guys. Looks like a place I would enjoy hiking and camping. - Jeremy
Wow! There were so many spectacular shots in this one! Those autumn hills in the golden sun at the end were just incredible! It’s amazing that you were able to capture that.
