Yes!! My mum has been dyeing her hair for 20 years, and she has actually more volume and healthier hair than me :D
My mom's been going grey from when she was 18, always covered it up with black or brown dye (yes, even box dyes). She still has coarse-ish straight thick hair. My hair is a mix of my parents' hair, volume from mom and fine structure from dad, and it can also withstand A LOT, but since I don't need bleach to dye it darker copper, that "how do you even have hair" question is even more annoying.

Litteraly like my mom dyed her hair for 10 years or longer and her hair was healthier than mine when i had virgin hair. But she used hairmasks all the time and thats what made it so soft. I’ve been dyeing my hair for 2 and a half years now and i do it with box dye cuz I can’t afford going to the salon every 4 weeks. Its dried my hair quite a bit but i use hairmasks now every day and i have been using argan oil repairing hairspray for years and it helps alot. I now use a keratin repairing hairspray
My aunt probably dye her hair BLOND for over 40 years, and straighten her bangs for over 40 years and her hair is fine and even has more than me 😭😭😭 HOW idk???

Been dyeing my hair for 50 years. It is thick and curly and wonderful still. I take all stress out on my hair and celebrate all joy with it. Olaplex truly is the bomb. Have I ever burnt it off. ???? Once in my twenties. Apparently bleaching it three or four times is bad. No Brainer. Fortunately it grows like crazy. Love watching you. You are drop dead gorgeous and smart as hell. Thanks for being Stella.

@@nevergiveupbozo Cut it really short and wore pretty bandanas. Fortunately I was cute and a bit of a jock at the time. Cycled 3 to 5 hours a day so it went with the image. Can't imagine that now. It would age me about ten years. Just what I want ..lol.

I don't bleach my hair I don't wash it every day I don't use heat on it and your hair look more healthy then mien so that why tomorrow I'm gonna dye it cut it use heat to style it and live my extra life 😂

A hair stylist that loves air drying their hair? I live for that bc I always air dry my hair and for some reason, people find that extremely weird.
Yep I air dry my hair and it’s so healthy… also with my hair being short it dries fairly quickly.

If I air dry my hair it goes frizzy and kinky but it’s ok during the summer as it goes like that after blow drying it anyway
Along time ago, I was told that people who stare are just trying to figure out what they are missing. The same ethos applies to those who leave negative comments. They are jealous and get off on negativity. Fuck them. You are beautiful, young, vibrant and a hell of a lot more knowledgeable than they are!

And hair breakage and loss are two completely different things which semi permanent hair color doesn't cause.

True. Been dying since 16. Im in my 50s now. There are less damaging alternatives for dye now. The only bad fall out (allergic reaction)I ve experienced was Loreal excellence and some cheap keratin shampoo from suave many years ago.
Genetics play a large part in how your hair reacts to damage. Keeping it shorter also hides damage. Semi permanent dye can damage the hair, but depositing dyes that are mistakenly referred to as semi permanent yet contain no developer don't. All of the bleaching necessary to maintain a base for depositing dyes can make your hair fall out, but only if you leave it on too long. I think some people say "fall out" but they mean "snap off" though, often because over processed hair tends to snap off close to the root.
yeah, i saw friends' hair so brittle and fried after just one round of bleaching that it all snapped off from the root, leaving them looking bald. i know bleaching isn't evil, but like maybe 1 in 100 people really know how to use it. or 1 in 1000.
@@bomsnose bleach isn't a one size fits all kind of thing either. Your hair type and colour can suggest which strength developer is best to use but I've seen people with fine blonde hair take multiple rounds of 30 vol with no more damage than you'd expect and people with thick dark hair suffer massive damage from a bleach bath. Add in any previous treatments to the hair that the client may not be honest about as then you'd have to tell them no, certain medications, hormone and vitamin imbalances they may not even know about, even if they usually wear their hair up in a tight ponytail... you can make a relatively informed guess how someone's hair will react, but even with all the experience in the world, sometimes you'll be wrong.
Depositing dyes only deposit color, so does semi permanent dyes so wtf is your point? Semi permanent dyes don’t damage the hair.
it sounds like you're thinking of demi permanent dye cause that's the one that contains low volume developer. Semi permanent is just conditioner with pigment, as the video mentioned

I'm a pretty tall person and my hair currently reaches way over my breasts. It's dry and pretty damaged and getting it dyed professionally costs me around 500 euros per dye job so I'm going to cut it into a bob. Stella is one of those beautiful people who makes me feel less bad about having to cut it off because short hair looks GORGEOUS on her and so many others. Hope it suits me too.

My hair been through many dye/bleach jobs over the years and my hair is still healthy with no split ends. Hair mask is magic.

I've dyed my hair many many many times for years and I never had a split end (didn't even know what it was), my hair was always soft and shiny and thick. Then I bleached it. THAT'S what really damaged my hair. Now I've grown out my hair and cut off the bleached part! Short hair yay 😍🎉🙌🏼

i always squeeze my hair dry with a towel. i went to the hairdressers the other day and got a washed cut first time in so long (i usually get a dry cut) and i was HORRIFIED when she rubbed my hair so hard between the towel. i could hear my hairs crying 😭

Holy shit-same EXACT thing happen to me. The replies too! She said for me not to touch my hair again, told me box dye is the devil, and you damn right I didn’t give her a tip. She messed my hair UP. While talking shit to me and rubbing the crap out of it. 🤬😩
Yes! When I go to the salon they always run my hair in the towel! But I go so rarely that it's once every 4-6 months that it happens..

I have long hair i colour my hair different colours frequently and i have healthy hair (maybe a bit dry but tbh i have always had naturally dry hair) my hairdresser is very pleased with me

I bleach my hair basically every 4 to 5 weeks. Yes I have shortish hair but still it is healthy and soft and shines and no loss of hair. Love your videos. I am constantly putting in pink or blue etc and I love your creativity. Its awesome thank you

I have really curly hair and I dye my hair every month or even less than that. My hair is so healthy I get so mad when ppl say “your hair is gonna fall out” bc I take so much care of it. People are just stupid and they don’t know what they are talking about.
Stella its easy for people who have no background and have not taken the time to study hair to comment about something they don't fully understand. Knowledge is power. However people will always be mean. People will be nasty. However those of us that love being here and support you and we understand because we probably color a lot too.... will always bring the positive vibes. You are beautiful and your hair is amazing.
