Played today with a buddy, I shot 89. This guy's advice is as relatable as it gets. I'm a casual golfer, really value his takes on the stuff I see out playing.
I know maybe one person might see my comment so to that one person, thank you. I just broke 90 for the first time in my life last weekend. Shot an 86 and I didn’t even realize it until I added it all up at the end. No gimmies. Only had to take one drop. That’s ONE lost ball. All I’ve been doing is playing every weekend. 36 a day, 9 when I can, 18 if possible. It’s hard to improve with a full time job that has no defined hours. But I would like for golf to be more than just a hobby for me one day. And breaking 90 without even trying was just a major confidence boost.
I took my driver out of my bag and I've been playing with my hybrid 2 off the tee. It goes around 200-230 but I hit 40-50% of fairways with it. I've been rocking my bucket hat as well. I've completely embraced the way of the playa and my scores have dropped significantly and consistently. Thanks for everything, Matty Boom-Boom
I'm in the low 90s, it's hard to crack that barrier. I can feel I'm playing a lot better overall, it's just maintaining it over the 18. Played today, was going to plan then shot a 8 on a par 4 and that was breaking 90 gone. I'm just hoping some real form will come if I keep it up and push me over the line.
I’ve broken 90 more times than I can count using the player in chief’s strategies. I still watch the vids for reinforcement and am getting closer to breaking 80. This stuff works!
Could break 90 when I was younger but didn’t play as much for a few years. Shot 92 yesterday and I’ve never approached golf like i did after watching your videos! Did not try to be a hero and hit shots I knew I could. I really appreciate how you break it down. I’m confident with my mindset I’ll be in mid to low 80s soon enough!
'Strike is correlated to score, distance is not correlated to score'. Brilliant statement. 👏. That's why I m changing my play strategy towards the one presented here. 🙏.
I can't stress enough the "toe down chipping". I'm 49 yrs old and currently a 4.2 handicap. At my peak around age 35 I was a +1. I've been using that chipping style since the mid 1990s. Learned it watching my favorite PGA pro. Some guy named Payne Stewart. Older people on here might remember him.

Hey playa what range finder are you using? I’m not sure you said 😅
How to break 90 when your dad is angry and intoxicated
What's with the Brave heart face Matty as the video goes on 😂
The Baus brings out top quality content on a consistent and frequent basis. As Garry Playa says 'Release content to get garden hose'
Shot 85 a few weeks ago, so much of that day can be attributed to this mans course management. Legit golf sidekick.
you been watching Braveheart playa?

Broke a 100 for the first time with a 99 several weeks back after watching Matt’s how to break a 100 series.
