Is Captain Cook still there? I hope to meet him this year! I am traveling down from Maine to experience your fishing in the Carolinas, and Apache is one place I want to visit!
You tie your line to a snap swivel, connect the hook rig to the snap swivel. Then you connect your release to the anchor line. Use the two little wire prongs, and feed them through the snap swivel
Hey frank I don’t know if you remember me but I was the kid who castnetted all those pogies on Election Day this year and I’m coming back next summer for about a week to try for a king and I was wondering if you could recommend a week when the kings are usually running hard during June-Mid August. Thanks- baitboy
Every state has different ways to catch king mackerel.ive never used two rods and a trolley rig.use what's called a sliding rig on one pole and it does the same.
Learned from this dude 2 weeks ago on the state park pier and burn up mackerel so much I filled the cooler two days in a row. Not using the rig he’s showing here for the kings though. Did it with a dedicated mackerel rig but old man’s a wealth of info
Hey captain Cook, headed down there this upcoming weekend from Virginia Beach. Look forward to trying to get a king.

To hell with California. Even fishing is crowded af and too complicated with all them people around. Nope, nope, and nope.
All that gear to catch a small Spanish? Plus over 12 minutes and you didn't show crap.
That's why they call it fishing not catching You're no fisherman You're a catcher man and if you don't catch him in an hour you go home
@@edzkos59 You're right, I take my 21' Striper out in the Atlantic. Go back in 1 hour if I didn't catch fish.
