There is alot to like about the Pictor zooms. I really like the focus falloff. The only thing that keeping me back is the soft focus. Its hard to judge it over youtube, even thoe uhd uploads gets less compressed. But the over all look is outstanding. I think the softness can be great for black magic cameras that dont have a olpf filter. But I shoot on red and they already have a organic look due there olpf. Im afraid it will look to soft for me with this combo. Is it possible that you share a couple of fullres screen grabs? It would make the decision easy.
Yes, the fall off is beautiful.
It works absolutely fine with reds in particular since they are very high res cams. And it’s cutting the digital sharpness even more which makes it more organic. And yes, sure. I can share still grabs
