What you’re feeling is completely normal. You’re in the middle of a huge transition. It’s ok to pause and feel all the feels. Also taking breaks spending a day or two doing things that you enjoy is important too.
What you think is boring and mundane would actually be helpful for others going through a major change.
I hope your interview and the rest of your move go smoothly. I can’t wait to see you setting up your new life in America. You’ll be there before you know it!

I just paused to write this. Nothing you put up is boring AT ALL. I love watching the entire process, the good, the bad and the frustrating. We’re all here living this experience vicariously through you and I think it’s really helpful to see just how much work you put into achieving the things you have, like this visa. Because otherwise there maybe some people who sit and watch thinking “my life isn’t this exciting, why aren’t I doing all of these amazing things” whereas in reality, you’ve worked SO HARD to get to where you are and none of these decisions have been made lightly, quickly or easily.
People can’t just snap their fingers and have a visa, that’s just not how it works. I’ve been through this process myself so can totally relate. All anyone ever said to me was “this is so exciting when are you leaving?” And there I was screaming on the inside because I was living in limbo!
To summarise, we’re not going anywhere and the more details you can share the better because we’re all so intrigued! X
Omg I’ve never related to anything more. Everyone is like when are you leaving and I’m like I don’t know 😭 haha it’s just a big waiting game. So much uncertainty. I just keep telling myself 3 weeks from now I could very well be there. It’s so close 🤞🏼

I went through this process for the US just a couple of months ago. It was not as intense or scary as I had conjured up in my mind. The interviewing officer was very nice and they know exactly where to look, and what to look for, in the stack of documents that you give them. That's why it has to be presented in the exact order stated. My deck was pulled together by the lawyers and it was also 100's of pages long. The 'interview' took no more than 10 minutes, and it really was not an interview, but a confirmation of information. I overthought it just as you are doing. I think that's to be expected because you are entering the unknown. It will all be just fine!

Visas and moving is a lengthy process and its so nice to see the background and the real life behing it. Not just the usual Instagram 'hey we are living here now' like it just happened by magic.
Ive lived in the uk, france, south Africa and namibia and no move ever goes completely as planned but its always worth it

Those are my favourite flowers too and they are called gladiolas. I recently listened to a great podcast by Mel robins where she said trust your heart when making the big hard decisions because that's where the truth is. If it lights you up and is expansive energy, make you feel excited, then that's how you know it's the right decision for you. I personally think you're very brave and independent. We're you feeling this way last time you were waiting to move to Canada? If you were, then you know it will pass once you get over to the US and settle in. The waiting and living in limbo is not much fun but for now just focus on what's in your control and making the most of spending quality time with your friends and family and enjoying Melbourne. Be grateful that you are going to miss Melbourne winter as you will be going into spring and summer again over there. Love you xo

I always associate those flowers with Australia as made famous by the Australian comedian’s Dame Edna character, who was very popular her in UK. I detest form filling and sometimes the number of letters/forms from my kids school drives me crazy 🤦♀️ I can’t imagine the stress for a visa application. Hope the final part goes smoothly and is over soon

Get some vacuum sealed bags for your clothes in your luggage. I'm not sure how it affects the weight scales... but they could give you more room.

The flowers you don't know how to call, here in Bulgaria we call Gladiolus. Gladiolus is a genus of perennial cormous flowering plants in the iris family. It is sometimes called the 'sword lily', but is usually called by its generic name. The genus occurs in Asia, Mediterranean Europe, South Africa, and tropical Africa. The center of diversity is in the Cape Floristic Region.

As an immigrant myself, this visa process is pretty tough and filled with anxiety. So don’t get hard on yourself. It’s a confusing time. Once you live abroad it’s kind of we are never complete again. We are always missing something. Enjoy this last part, enjoy Australia and don’t think too much I guess.

The lawyers should print everything off for your
I know exactly how you feel with all the visa stuff. We've been through this 5 times now and only ever used lawyers on the last application as the visa is employer based sponsorship and that Company prefer to use their lawyers who are on retainer anyway. It's daunting but each time we've finally gone to the interview it's almost an anticlimax as the consulate staff are so nice, professional and helpful, tbh they've never asked for documentations j(because they've already got just about everything as part of the application process anyway) just 2-3 questions and the visa is confirmed on the spot with your passport being sent out a few days later, although I think you can arrange to collect them now ? Best of luck, I'm sure it will all go over very smoothly.
