This idea of sending photos to your elderly relatives is so in line with your 2024 theme of gifting ❤ my granny passed away last year and I wish I had talked more to her when I could... It was not until I reread some of our old chats that I realised how they don't ask anything from you but to be a bit involved in whatever you're doing 💔

I've been meaning to write to my uncle who lives in a rehab home now in America. It's hard to call him with the system they have so I only call him a few times a year and I write to him a few times a year too. I keep meaning to visit him again, but that's so much easier said than done with my finances. But you've just inspired me to write him way more often with news and pictures! I will get on with doing that asap!

Border Collies are super smart dogs. I taught mine to put the ball in my hand. So he fetches it and when I say: ‘In my hand’ he puts it in my hand. When he was a pup I would ignore him until he put it in my hand. He eventually learnt that if he didn’t give it to me in my hand that I would not throw the ball. So he learnt fast.
I’ve been ignoring her the last couple days and she’s starting to drop it at my feet 🙌🏼 just have to be persistent, thanks for sharing

I have a friend who works at a book store and she said that after reading new books they have the chance to give a feedback to publishers. Some books made it into other categories and are marketed to older kids/teens afterwards.
Rachel I’m with you on this week of the month, on Wednesday just before it I was feeling really weird and kinda dizzy and just feeling off and although I’m feeling better I still feel just blah and I wish these weeks would just go away and never come back but unfortunately doesn’t work that way, so I feel ya on these days. Yes, People started feeling weird/embarrassed for buying books with shirtless men on the cover (for example) so the authors started making covers that are illustrated to be more 'tik tok' friendly so now no one has any clue about the age ratings. 🤷♀

I agree about book ratings. FYI - Tessa Bailey books are all on the steamy/spicy side. They are really good, but do have a lot of detailed romance scenes.
After the first page the language dropped off and it’s been really good so far, I actually like 😊

I like PG books because I think they focus more on the story. I ALWAYS read the first page of the book I'm thinking of buying, then read a few lines of a few pages in the middle. Also, Google a review. The books that are not PG are called "spicy" I avoid those.

We don't really have dangerous animals in Aus but we have dangerous bugs. I almost stepped on a snake a couple months back. I found a funnel web spider in the filter box of the pool the other day. Thats the worlds most poisonous spider. Lots of spiders and bugs but they really aren't a threat. Chances of getting bitten are low and you just keep an eye out 😊

Where are you going? I am so confused.
What people don’t think about when using VPNs to access content that was not licensed to a platform in their market is the global content distribution industry. If you access a title on Netflix using a VPN to pose as a US account because the title is not available in Australia it’s equivalent to stealing/pirating. The content creators were not paid for that Australian license, so you as a user don’t get access to the content. This could have major repercussions over time for content creators and their jobs, and I’m not just talking about the huge actors and producers but everyday people working within the entertainment industry. Surfshark positioning themselves as a service who enables this kind access to content is not fair to the content creators whose art is being reproduced without them being compensated fairly.
It would be like somebody being able to watch your videos without ads and you getting no payment from it. Since you are a content creator it’s a bit of an odd sponsorship choice…
