To clarify one minor detail. Human said to pull the line back on top of itself after you've jammed the ends into the holes. What that means is that you pull the line over the projections on top of the holes, so that there is a 90 degree crimp in the line, and both pieces of line are being wound clockwise as you view the face of the spool which has the "STIHL" and "AUTOCUT5" lettering on it. It's hard to figure that out from the stupid pictorial line replacement guide which Stihl provides with the replacement head.
If after you install a fresh spool, you find the line doesn't feed, it can often be fixed by pulling the ends of the line out of the spool with needle-nose pliers.
