Hi Scott, first of all thanks for your videos they are very helpful! I have a big question. I’m gonna start using stage Traxx on my shows and it took me 8 months to put all my song in there and organized everything. Question is…. If something happens to my iPad and I have to buy a new one and download stage Traxx again, how can I recovered all my work? All my songs organized the way I put? Thanks mate
Hi Peter! Thanks for making such an incredible app 🤘 I use this with 3 of my bands and absolutely love it. Which is why I made a 3 part video series on it 😊 Thanks again!
Hi Peter, I’ve been using this app since Scott mentioned it a while back. You have done an amazing job. Love it. Thanks Scott for the video super helpful. The multitrack option is a game changer. To be able to just turn on the drums or bass to practice along with is super helpful. We’ll done.
Thank you, Scott. Stage Traxx 3 is exactly what I was looking for. I can tell you put in lots of time making these video’s. You have a talent for explaining things clearly and concisely. It really helped me.
I am a solo performer…and make my own tracks using Logic …ljust discovered this app yesterday .. downloaded it last night- loaded in 100 songs and BINGED on learning … your video is AWESOME ! Thank you so much .. and thank you to the creator of this app !
Your videos are UNBELIEVABLE dude!!! Seriously, they are so thorough, yet there's no unnecessary chatter. Super calm presentation. I subscribed instantly! I've already watched all of your backing tracking, click cues videos. Showed me everything I needed to know. 🙏
Man I’ve been into this app lately and it looks awesome! I’m really thinking about buying this for my trio so one licence would definitely be handy, lol. Can’t wait for part 2 and 3 because the thing that stands out the most for me is looping the regions. Keep them coming and thank you for such valuable videos, your channel is the best!
Purchased this product last week and loving it. Glad to see my opinion backed by such a competent authority! You are my favourite UA-camr, your content and style is just awesome! And thank you for putting me onto Stage Trax 3, you had mentioned in on one of your prior videos!
Im an old guy going through your videos like a hungry ma no starving. Back in 1972 there were only stage monitors, nobody had anything to read in front of them and i could see where it would be annoying. We litterally memorized every song every lyric for 3 or 4 sets. And we watched each other that we didn’t drink too much lol. But that was the stone ge compared to this. Thank you. Maybe i can gig again.
Funny to read your comment... I come from the stone age too, that is how old I am but only started to sing in old age and I have memorized all of my 65 songs in 10 languages, so it is possible.... even for a pensioner. If you don't memorize the songs you can't put all your feeling in them, but I can see how useful it is if you really are not able to do it anymore. But... it is good brain gymnastics...
Brilliant app iv had it for a year now easy you use never lets you down on gigs , thanks for posting these videos really helpful Scott Iv learnt loads more now
We've been using StageTraxx for nearly a year and it's essentially one of our most important band members. It does exactly what you need to run tracks/lyrics, and it just WORKS. I cannot believe how much I've come to rely on this but we couldn't do a show without it.
i rely on it too, but I have just discovered that the volume is lower than the same tracks on the Library, just those play all in one go and I can't have that, reason why I use Stage Traxx3. Just wish the volume was higher...
I've been using Stage Traxx for many years now, and it just keeps getting better and better. The app developer is accessible, he is really dedicated to make this app work for real musicians. I can't say enough good about the app. I'm just getting into the multitrack usage, and think it's going to be perfect for what I need. This tutorial is GREAT for beginners, and I'm excited to see the next two. THANK YOU SCOTT for dong such a great job with this.
@@ScottUhlMusic me, too. I bet I'v e sold over a dozen people on Stage Traxx. best program I've ever used. It's indispensable. And again, thanks for the great videos.

Phenomenal job on these tutorials. So easy to follow, with lots of great insight. This is a game changer for our band. Wishing you all the best and continued success. Thank you sir!
Thanks Scott for this video series which will nicely complement ST3 Peter’s super helpful video tutorials, website forum and user manual. I’m about halfway through the task of populating my StageTraxx3 song list with backing tracks, time-synced lyrics, automated midi patch changes, etc. and have been so impressed with this app’s robust and varied functionality. Eager to host shared ST3 sessions with various bandmates in upcoming shows! Thank you both!
I dont know how old you re but i can tell youre 100 percent pro super organized. Imagine trying to gig on different places hiring musicians without these tools. I cant imagine anyone sounding or looking that good, with this you know what you’ll sound like and look like before you gig. Awesome thank you best of luck. May your pockets and vault over flow with green backs
This is great. Your videos are more helpful than all the other music theory and "how to play" videos. Very real demos and advice for real world. Thank you please keep them coming!
I've been using BandHelper for years to do a lot of this BUT the idea of allowing for multitrack AND rearrangement is a game changer. I can only trigger stereo tracks in BandHelper and need to have different versions depending on instrumentation. I dread the idea of exporting 500 songs from one app to another but this may be worth it. Thanks for turning me on to this!
I'm very grateful this app exist and to you making this tutorial. I no longer need to search endlessly in internet a way to program my back tracks. So Thank you, thank you, thank you 🙏
I am using karaoke version for stems. If I use multitrack and route a click and intro click plus backing stem for our in-ears, then route a FOH stem, I am not seeing a way to delay the multitracks routed to front of house, then the tracks get out of synch because the FOH stem obviously doesn’t have intro click.
Scott - thank you for putting this series together. I appreciate all the effort and professionalism that went into your work. You saved me a ton of time as I'm just starting to use Stage Traxx for my band.

Really useful - thanks. We've been using ST3 for a while but in a very simple mode of having a bought in backing track and just playing it start to finish. Now we want to make our own backing tracks and want to be able to mute stems for when we have guest musicians. Thanks again!
I gotta say, I love using this app. As a blind user, its totally completely accessible with Voiceover, which is the screen reader built into Apple devices.

What a world away from the 1990s' when I was using Studio Vision sequencer and Opcode. Loved how fast I could put a song together, but couldn't approach how to manipulate these songs in a live setting.
Awesome Video Scott, I have been watching your video's and I am 'Blown Away' by the 'Content' that you have available, then you add another video like this and it goes to another level, 'Too Much Bro'.
You had me at the intro. This is a very impressive app, I have a couple of specific questions but I’ll hold them until parts 2&3. I want to triple my chances!
Really amazing app, everything you have reviewed at the end of each video one feels like oh you need to get up the item or app in this case, very well explained, a must have, well done.
Peter should be paying you for this tutorial, amazing content...after your backing tracks video I don't how you have time to play live....but I am thankful for your expertise.
Scott: It’s obvious that you put in a ton of work to make this video. Thank you for that! I’m sure I will have to watch is again (a time or two or more) to ensure I haven’t missed any of the information you packed inside. Thanks again!
Great tutorial Scott! Your IEM tutorials saved me a ton of money! This is by far the best thing I could find for my band. We use nothing but backing tracks! I scrolled the comments and for all the android whiners, I too am an android fanatic and apple hater, but because of what I do for my job, they gave me an iPad. I'll tell you this honestly, if they took back my iPad today id buy another one to keep this app alive. Get over yourselves and just get an iPad. Signed an Android Fanboy since 2007.
The lead guitarist in the band uses Stage traxx and I was so impressed with it that I have just bought an Ipad. As soon as it arrives Stage Traxx will be purchased. Great progam.
Thank you, Trying to do the "one man band thing"... started with multi-tracker and have recently been messing with loopy pro, gonna watch your videos again, This might just be the answer.... so much to learn, so little time.
I just figured out if you want to import lyrics from ultimate guitar, everytime I copied and pasted from pdf it would mess up the positioning of chords in Stagetraxx And my iPhone wouldn’t let me copy directly from the ultimate guitar app So I opened the tab with my notes app by hitting the 3 dots and hitting “open with” then I went to my notes app, opened the txt document and copied and pasted from there and all the chords were in the same spot as on ultimate guitar. Phew
There are so many things to say about the features of this amazing app. I can add an extra tip for the vertical left song list in play mode. Except that you can hide or show it, touching the arrow, you can hold and drag left or right the same arrow of the sidelist to make it larger or smaller. In that way the user of the app can make it in his own prefer size. And one more thing.. The "Done" marker can be very helpful to not repeat same song twice, during a gig. You can always clear the “history” tab and all the blue "done" markers will be gone until the next load. Anyway, this is very good video! Simple and tight, although the tons of information. Well done!
Oh nice! I didn’t know that about the arrow. That’s cool! And clearing history would definitely help with the done method for sure. Maybe I will start using it! Thanks for the comment 🤘
@@ScottUhlMusic Thanks for the video! Many people asking if there is a way to make the waveform line at least a little bit bigger, because sometimes if there are some audio loop regions made, it's too hard to read their names. The good news is, as I know, they promised to put this option in the next update. This will make the use of the app even more flawlessly and easy to work with. So we are waiting for the feature updates ^^
After enjoying some of your wireless gear reviews this is another good one. And the prize can go internationally this time. Good one. Will definitely check out this app.
This is sooo cool……now I have to drag the rest of my band out of the dark ages and get them to use it. I’m definitely gonna check it out. Thanks for putting together these vids…you da man!
Yeah I told my band mates “hey, I think I have a new app for us” and it was tough to switch out of the routine we had for quite a few years. But after one show with it, they agreed and we haven’t looked back 🤘
Thanks Scott, Just getting into using backing tracks as members of my band can’t always make a show. Your videos are super helpful. I really like the way you get straight into the content. Doesn’t seem to be a wasted second at all. Take note other content creators, we don’t need a minute for you to introduce what you doing next, say it then get into it. Very informative and also entertains All the best with the channel Scott, Cheers!

Hey Scott, great vid mate. Your channel has been awesome so I wanted to send some sugar back to you to show how to solve one of the problems the scrolling/highlighting lyrics presented with ST3 (at about 16 mins on your vid). It was highlighting the CHORUS or VERSE headers (for the next section) along with the last line of previous verse. Found a solution. It seems ST3 highlights all text between the time markers, and only highlights the next text when the time marker for the next text has been reached. Based on that logic, I've created a hack to force it to display how I want (i.e. just show the last line of the previous section on it's own, then show the header for the next section on it's own, then the show first line of the next section on it's own at the appropriate times). * Create a line break (i.e. hit enter key to create a new line) after the last lyric line of the section that is being completed (i.e. verse of chorus). * Put a series of fullstops (like a section divider) on that line which is now between the last line of the verse and the #Header for the Chorus. * Create a line break after the #HEADER * Put a single full stop on that line (which will be between the #HEADER and the first line of lyric for the new section). LIke This: "...last line of verse 1 .................. #CHORUS . FIrst line of new section here...." The series of fullstops gives a visual representaiton that everything in the Chorus is below the long dotted line (made of fullstops). LIke a section divider. I then put a time stamp before the start of the series of fullstops (i.e the "section divider") for when I want it to display. It will then display until it receives it's next timecode message. I then put a timestamp before the single fullstop that is one millisecond (or frame I think they call it) before the timestamp for the first line of the next section (verse or chorus). This means the single fullstop "blips" for a micro second before changing to highlight the first line of the next section. In summary. this forces ST3 to hold the last line of the preceeding section (verse or chorus) on it's own, until the timestamp is reached (which is the "section divider" fullstops above the #HEADER for the next section). It then displays the Next Section (i.e. Chorus or Verse) header until it receives the time code for the first line of the next verse. Here's an example (Under The Milky Way): I'll remove the inline chords so it doesn't confuse the situation [00:00.00]Intro: Am A7sus4 Fmaj7 G [00:14.11]……….. # Verse 1 [00:16.28]. [00:16.29][Sometimes when this place gets kind of empty, [00:22.94]Sound of their breath fades with the light. [00:29.88]I think about the loveless fascination, [00:38.67]Under the milky way tonight. [00:44.29]………. # Verse 2 [00:45.98]. [00:45.99]Lower the curtain down in Memphis, [00:51.97]Lower the curtain down all right. [00:59.02][I got no time for private consultation, [01:06.15]Under the milky way tonight. [01:12.84]………. # Chorus 1 [01:13.65]. [01:13.66]Wish I knew what you were looking for. [01:19.92]Might have known what you would find. [01:26.60]…………. # Verse 3 [01:28.00]. [01:28.01]And it's something quite pe........ etc..... I enter it on the fly in Edit Lyrics by clicking ont he learn button as it plays through. I have to use the down arrow to get myself into postition (ie. the start fo the correct line) before I need to hit the learn button. If I get it wrong, I jsut manually adjust the timecodes (so the single fullstop only shows for one fram/microsecod) before the first line of the next section displays. Hope it helps and isn't too confusing to understand. Thanks again for your channel mate, great stuff.

Really amazing app, everything you have reviewed at the end of each video one feels like oh you need to get up the item or app in this case, very well explained, a must have, well done.
Thank you!
Peter should be paying you for this tutorial, amazing content...after your backing tracks video I don't how you have time to play live....but I am thankful for your expertise.
Thanks! I love this app and it has helped out a ton for my live shows! And yes, these videos take FOREVER to edit lol
A great video. This has been a massive help for me for my live shows
Thanks a lot from France. You definitely help me to find THE application i needed and win time to learn how to use it !
Glad to help! 😊
Scott: It’s obvious that you put in a ton of work to make this video. Thank you for that! I’m sure I will have to watch is again (a time or two or more) to ensure I haven’t missed any of the information you packed inside. Thanks again!
Thank you! And yeah, this series took FOREVER to put together haha, but I wanted to make it good because it’s such a great app
Hahaha I love the way you ended this comment haha. Thanks man!
Awesome Video Scott = You have totally sold me !!!
The lead guitarist in the band uses Stage traxx and I was so impressed with it that I have just bought an Ipad. As soon as it arrives Stage Traxx will be purchased. Great progam.
Yeah, all the band mates I’ve showed this to love it!
Awesome!! I’ve been waiting for this! Thank You soo much🙏🙏❤️
Glad to help!
Very informative and fun to watch. Thanks for all your work and for introducing me to this app. Looks great!
Thank you!
This app is ridiculous! Completely worth it for any live musician. Awesome video as usual 🤘
Ich bin begeistert von der Informationsdichte und der verständlichen Sprache in den Videos. Die App werde ich ausprobieren
Thank you!
Thank you, Trying to do the "one man band thing"... started with multi-tracker and have recently been messing with loopy pro, gonna watch your videos again, This might just be the answer.... so much to learn, so little time.
Thanks Scott, this sounds like a really great app. I'm gonna go to part 2 now!
It’s my go to app!
Scott, I've been anxiously awaiting your review/tutorial for this. Thanks!
🤘🤘
This is a big improvement over what I’m using now. Will definitely check it out!
🤘🤘
I just figured out if you want to import lyrics from ultimate guitar, everytime I copied and pasted from pdf it would mess up the positioning of chords in Stagetraxx
And my iPhone wouldn’t let me copy directly from the ultimate guitar app
So I opened the tab with my notes app by hitting the 3 dots and hitting “open with” then I went to my notes app, opened the txt document and copied and pasted from there and all the chords were in the same spot as on ultimate guitar. Phew
This app is going to change my life! Ty so much for doing this
It’s made my life and shows so much better 🤘
Great video and explanations! Love the app. Appreciate you taking the time to do this.
Thank you 😊
Very informative. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
Thank you!
A friend put me on to this app and your videos. Looks great and should be great for my shows. Thanks
One of the best contributors. Awesome tutorial.
Thank you 😊
Super helpful Scott! I'm going to noodle with this and see how far I get.
@@donchev92 Nice! Yeah that would definitely help for sure!
After enjoying some of your wireless gear reviews this is another good one. And the prize can go internationally this time. Good one. Will definitely check out this app.
It’s worth checking out for sure 🤘
Wow! This looks like a fantastic product! Looking forward to the other parts of this series!
Next parts will be out next week Tuesday and Thursday 🤘
Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to check this out further!
🤘🤘
This is sooo cool……now I have to drag the rest of my band out of the dark ages and get them to use it. I’m definitely gonna check it out. Thanks for putting together these vids…you da man!
Yeah I told my band mates “hey, I think I have a new app for us” and it was tough to switch out of the routine we had for quite a few years. But after one show with it, they agreed and we haven’t looked back 🤘
Most excellent Scott!
Thanks! I really appreciate that. I get so annoyed with long drawn out tutorial videos, so I’m glad to hear this!
Such an awesome app. You've got my gears turning now... this looks like it does nearly everything I need for our karaoke band. Looking forward to the midi section
Yeah that would be great for highlighting lyrics for a karaoke band for sure!!
This is Awesome! You are the Man! I also have to say that I find your memes quite hilarious!

Thanks! This video series took a long time, but it was worth it! I appreciate it
Great video, been sharing with my band mates. Its a bit of work, but I think it will be worth it!
Awesome review Scott!! I’d love to add this to my arsenal. This is a game changer!!
It really is!
* Create a line break after the #HEADER
* Put a single full stop on that line (which will be between the #HEADER and the first line of lyric for the new section).
LIke This:
"...last line of verse 1
..................
#CHORUS
.
FIrst line of new section here...."
The series of fullstops gives a visual representaiton that everything in the Chorus is below the long dotted line (made of fullstops).
Here's an example (Under The Milky Way): I'll remove the inline chords so it doesn't confuse the situation
[00:00.00]Intro: Am A7sus4 Fmaj7 G
[00:14.11]………..
# Verse 1
[00:16.28].
[00:16.29][Sometimes when this place gets kind of empty,
[00:22.94]Sound of their breath fades with the light.
[00:29.88]I think about the loveless fascination,
[00:38.67]Under the milky way tonight.
[00:44.29]……….
# Verse 2
[00:45.98].
[00:45.99]Lower the curtain down in Memphis,
[00:51.97]Lower the curtain down all right.
[00:59.02][I got no time for private consultation,
[01:06.15]Under the milky way tonight.
[01:12.84]……….
# Chorus 1
[01:13.65].
[01:13.66]Wish I knew what you were looking for.
[01:19.92]Might have known what you would find.
[01:26.60]………….
# Verse 3
[01:28.00].
Nice! Thanks for sharing this man, I appreciate it 🤘 glad you’ve been enjoying ST3 as well. It’s worked very well for my bands 🤘
