LMS superpower headlined the Worth Valley's 2022 Steam Gala. LMS Fowler/Stanier 4-6-0 46100 Royal Scot was visiting courtesy of Locomotive Services Limited at Crewe, joining home fleet Stanier 4-6-0 45596 Bahamas. The pair double headed regularly throughout the gala weekend.
The LMS pairing was joined by GWR 5700 class 0-6-0PT 7714 from the Severn Valley Railway.
Recently returned to steam Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway 0-6-0 52044, made its debut in BR black and is seen on a goods working at the end of Friday of the gala.
The line up was completed by Standard 2MT 78022 and Taff Vale Tank 85.
Alongside the passenger and demonstration freight runs, at Oakworth station the LNER 10 ton Grafton Permanent Way Crane No. 2511 ran lifting demonstrations.

That crane's brilliant: rotating through 180 degrees as it's moving along, and raising & lowering at the same time. That must take some coordination on the part of the operator

Built by Grafton of Bedford in 1945 for the LNER as a permanent way crane
