Oh my god, after searching for so long I found the game I was looking for! I've played this game for hours and hours when I was a kid. We sold the NES and all the games when de PS1 came out, but man I miss those games. Thank you for this!
Isolated Warrior is an awesome hybrid of Zaxxon and Viewpoint. Some really sharp play and amazing graphic effects for the NES make this a pretty memorable game!
One of the most challenging nes titles that could make you to rage quit. Got it as contra 8 back in 2003 and played this game like crazy. Truly an underrated and hidden gem.
I remember playing this game with my father. He didn't know the name of the game anymore, but he knew ot was something with "Warrior" in it. So I searched for 'NES Warrior' on youtube and here it is now. I remember the level on a motorcycle... Crazy times!
Oh my god I almost cry by watching this! I didn't think in this game at all for like 30 years and this night suddenly I had a flash but couldn't remember the name, searched with "diagonal scroll" words has been the key! So many emotions and memories... Nothing specific, just a feeling... my god...
I remember playing this when I was 4! It was only the year 2001 but my dad suprised me with it and told me he purchased it new in the 80s. Some of my best memories are from this system and I still have the NES and a bunch of games to this day.
The game was developed by KID, same ones also responsible for G.I. Joe and its sequel, The Atlantis Factor, plus Kickmaster and Low G Man, among others. Their games were easily recognizable and had an above-average track record.
I would just like to note that KID is totally a visual novel company to boot. They made such great stand outs despite being specialized in porting and developing bishōjo games. This includes the fairly well known eroge Prism Heart for CD. You cannot overstate the talent and skill this company had working for it.
Ive been looking for this game for 20 years. They sold me a cassette with a Contra sticker with a number 8 on it, and id been looking for Contra 8 ever since. When i realized later duing the initial Internet phase that there was no contra 8 ever, i had been searching through the entire library of NES, unregistered games, bootlegs, unreleased games and only now ive found it. F that guy, Ive got just one more game ive yet to find.
OMG!!!! I played a lot this game at my cousin's house when I was staying there during my school vacation. Holy shit! Good times, good memories. We played this game so much (because he only had two games at the time, this and Super Mario 3). If I'm not mistaken, we never finished it, to be more precise, we never got past the first few stages. It was way too hard for us at the time.
I am so happy I own this game in my physical collection. I bought it just last month and never knew what an addictive game this is. Same with _Gun.Smoke._ The first many number of attempts, it made me want to go out and assault somebody. Now that I'm more used to the controls and knowing where to look for the hidden rooms, it's become a walk in the park. I have already beaten it *twice* in under an hour. At this point, I'm looking to see how high a score I can reach before game over or I've had enough lol.
Ah, what good memories of youth with this good old arcade game. Sometimes I still play it from time to time to pass the time thanks to an emulator, and I admit I still love it so much.
This game came in a 4-in-1 cartridge when I was a little kid, and after the cartridge was lost I could never find it again since I didn't remembered the name. Today, after I ca,me across a random short with a boss, I finally can see the game again!
I never got to own this game, but I was able to rent it from the local video store. All I can say is that this is an absolute classic, shame that this will never get a VC release on Nintendo's current consoles.
son bonus secretos, en partes especiales del juego al tirar una bomba se abre un portal donde recibes bonus de armas, vidas o habilidades como velocidad.
Don’t know why I remembered this.. I could get right to the end but could never beat the boss at the end of the bonus level. Couldn’t get out of the way of the rockets
I think bro didnt knew this move if you hold ur bomb button the bomb will rotate and goes far away this way the bomb has very lethal affect on enemies...
I would love to play this game again! If you do requests, can you play Mission Impossible (NES) and Ironsword: Wizards and Warriors 2. (NES)Oh and not sure if you have Metal Gear 2 Snake's Revenge (NES)Thanks!
Another one of the few games I skipped, but always picked up at my local rental store. By now, I knew I preferred more involving games like RPGs and adventures. This looked really simple and didn't like anything special at the time.
This game was truly a hidden gem

The graphics look like Skeleton Krew on GENESIS but this is a way better game also SK has some of the best graphics on Genesis
Took hours of searching to find this! I remember being blown away by how cool this game was in the NES era!
Yes! hahaha I remembered it with incredible detailed graphics!
A very challenging NES game and finishing it was truly rewarding.

Is it happened to be the cart that also has contra 7 (heavy barrel) and contra 6 (contra force) too?
I remember owning that thing years ago

thank you to remind me this game. i used to play when i was nine years old
Thanks for this!! I played this when I was young. And now I can remember this game, cause you.
Remember renting this over a weekend . Great game
This game is ridiculously hard.
Damn that highway boss
Why have I not heard of this? It looks cool!
I remember playing this long ago. Thanks.
Man, all these years i was searching it as contra 8 lol
Literally obsessed with those sounds of obtaining those ammunition.... That's fkinnn sickkk 🔥🔥
Wow! And that soundtrack.
This was the first NES game i ever played and the best aswell lol finally found the name
This game came in a 4-in-1 cartridge when I was a little kid, and after the cartridge was lost I could never find it again since I didn't remembered the name. Today, after I ca,me across a random short with a boss, I finally can see the game again!

The ending music is so much soulful
Very cool game. It's like an isometric gunsmoke, with the weapon mechanics from hellfire.
Had this one back in the day. Even then it was overlooked and i got it for under 30 gulden.
I was looking for this game for so so long
Never seen this before, baffled looks so good graphics and animation
LOVE...LOVE this game!! I reviewed it a while back.
Underrated game. One of my favs.
2:18 throw a grenade left in that building and a portal opens.Enter it and you will get ,,intermission,, wich refills hp and gives some power
Aww, you didn't go after the secret rooms. :(
Even this game, which sports a 1990 copyright date on the title screen, appears to have actually been released in 1991.
I’m here because of Pam. Great game and thanks for the long play!
My first game that gave me nightmares
10:20 this boss gave me nightmare 😂😂
And here it was sold as contra-8 😜
Subbed. Great looking game. I will have to try it
This game is so fucking cool, but I rarely beat the first level, I find it so difficult.
My son clocked it , years ago,
i thought this game was a version of contra in childhood... today during a random search found this game....
Contra 8?
I thought it was contra 8 too
el mejor juego de mi niñes
looks sick
wow now this is impressive 8bit graphics!
J' ai adoré ce jeu.
You don't need a no-death run for stage 7, just not using any continue.
This is such a great game anyway.
A warrior who lives in isolation
Boss at 10:20 looks more like a final boss than the final boss.
Juan Francisco Valdivieso as a kid (10) I had mayor troubles beating this boss.
Just because he has a brain ? poor you who told you to say so ?
what was that at the end with the portal and the guy with the necklace?
son bonus secretos, en partes especiales del juego al tirar una bomba se abre un portal donde recibes bonus de armas, vidas o habilidades como velocidad.
Getting a RARE vibe from this one.
Don’t know why I remembered this.. I could get right to the end but could never beat the boss at the end of the bonus level. Couldn’t get out of the way of the rockets
lo que busque a este juegazoooooooooooooo lpm
Is there really a book about the isolated warrior? I'll buy it!
This fkng song ... Feels
Fuck, those bosses are awesome!
I had this game as Contra 8
😱Never knew about this!
reminds me of an early Viewpoint
I think bro didnt knew this move if you hold ur bomb button the bomb will rotate and goes far away this way the bomb has very lethal affect on enemies...
Beautifull game
Some of these enemies remind me of low g man.
I used to play this game on broken left button gamepad lol😂
Wait WTF I never saw that secret at the end of the video either! What was that? Anyway thanks for the nostalgia trip.
I guess that gives a 1up
Im from brazil. Thank you to remind me this game. I used to play when i was nine years old
Made by the same guys who made G.I. Joe on NES and Doki Doki Yuuenchi!
And most importantly - Recca.
Oh, and PEPSIMAAAAAANN!!
And they made also Low G Man and Kickmaster, 2 awesome NES games
Игра очень круто выглядит, отличная картинка!
Viewpoint before viewpoint
I would love to play this game again! If you do requests, can you play Mission Impossible (NES) and Ironsword: Wizards and Warriors 2. (NES)Oh and not sure if you have Metal Gear 2 Snake's Revenge (NES)Thanks!
hm it's like zaxxon meets a gradious type game
So annoying when you died and lost your gun power ups
Paperboy III, The Revenge...
Stage 6 theme sounds like a Mega Man theme.
Merece la parte 2 parte 3 en nes
Omg, I was playing this when I was a kid.. like from morning to the evening until my Sega started "burning". Lol...
it wasn't on Sega
Nintendo,
This track is similar to G.I. Joe on NES is what I think it’s
Why did they release the SNES? This game would not be possible on the SNES.
I don't think I ever got past the boss at 21:35
Rare shmup
10:20 took me awhile to beat that boss
Another one of the few games I skipped, but always picked up at my local rental store. By now, I knew I preferred more involving games like RPGs and adventures. This looked really simple and didn't like anything special at the time.
not a single intermission
This could be a really bad Rambo sequel.
Rambo; First Contact/First Blood
Damn played this game in my childhood scene 1-2 had a warp in a particular location don knw wht was it for played the Japanese version i guess 🦧
Wow, I never knew top-down shooter genre existed even back in the NES era!
