    Thanks for the video. Just repasted my G15. It may be a lot to disassemble, but it's doable. Let's not forget, that a lot of devices nowadays are glued down wherever possible to complicate or even prevent disassembly.

      We are sorry for the disappointing results. You can double check if dust were cleaned thoroughly, also if thermal paste was applied incorrectly. We also welcome you to try our KOLD-01 Thermal Paste, which is specially designed to be longlisting, and is very different from other brands.We use a special non-solvent formulation design that results in better cooling as well as longer lifespan.

      might just be how the laptops cooling works, a max of 95-100c is normal for H series cpus and a good temp for the gpu would be 75 to 85 max so your laptop is well within spec

      In that case, the screws might be stripped. Next time, you can try our KOMBO-01 screwdriver set, specially designed for laptop repair. Its precision and hardness are specifically adjusted to avoid stripping screws.
      The best ways to avoid stripping screws are:
      Choose a high-quality screwdriver.
      Select the correct bit.
      Apply vertical downward pressure when turning the screw.
      You can refer to our video #83 for an explanation (How to avoid and fix stripped screws in laptop disassembly).

    ماهيا درجه الحراره التي لا يحيب ان ازيد عنها

    • @koolingmonster
      @koolingmonster  14 днів тому +1

      درجة الحرارة المثالية لجهاز ديل G15 5511 أثناء التشغيل يجب أن تظل عادة بين 40°C و 70°C. بالنسبة للمهام ذات الحمل الثقيل مثل الألعاب أو تحرير الفيديو، قد ترتفع درجة حرارة المعالج إلى 80°C إلى 90°C، وهذا أمر طبيعي. ومع ذلك، إذا استمرت درجة الحرارة في تجاوز 90°C أو الاقتراب من 100°C، فقد يؤثر ذلك على استقرار النظام وربما يسبب تلفًا في الأجهزة.
      نوصي بتنظيف نظام التبريد بانتظام والتأكد من أن بيئة الاستخدام جيدة التهوية، وتجنب العمل لفترات طويلة تحت حمل ثقيل، للحفاظ على درجة الحرارة المثالية للجهاز. كما يجب استبدال معجون التبريد بانتظام. يمكنك تجربة معجون التبريد عالي الأداء Kolding Monster KOLD-01، حيث يتم بيع منتجاتنا في جميع أنحاء العالم.

    i couldn’t remove the heat sink from the board, like the thermal paste was keeping it glued down. is that normal? (and yes i DID remove the screws)

    • @koolingmonster
      @koolingmonster  2 дні тому

      Hello! This is completely normal. Over time, thermal paste can harden and act like glue, bonding the heatsink tightly to the processor. Here’s how to safely remove it:
      1. Gently wiggle the heatsink: Twist it back and forth instead of pulling straight up.
      2. Use a plastic tool: If needed, use a plastic prying tool to carefully loosen it from the edges. Avoid metal tools to prevent damage.
      3. Be patient: Apply steady, gentle pressure and avoid using excessive force to protect the CPU and motherboard.
      Hope this helps! 😊

      @@koolingmonster thank you for the reply!! i’m going to replace my fans soon so i will try to remove the heat sink again to reapply thermal paste. i have no experience working with computers though and i’m terrified of using the plastic tool to try and pry the heat sink off, which is probably what i’m gonna have to do… please tell me it’s not that easy to break anything 😭🙏

    هل اللاب يدعم الذاكره حتي 32

    • @koolingmonster
      @koolingmonster  14 днів тому +1

      نعم، جهاز ديل G15 5511 يدعم ذاكرة وصول عشوائي تصل إلى 32 جيجابايت. عادةً ما يأتي مزودًا بفتحتين لذاكرة الوصول العشوائي، ويمكنك ترقية الذاكرة إلى 32 جيجابايت عن طريق استبدال أو إضافة شرائح الذاكرة. ومع ذلك، يُنصح بالتحقق من المواصفات والتوافق المحدد قبل الترقية لضمان اختيار الذاكرة المناسبة.

    thanks for the video, are thermal pads necessary ? if yes, where do we put them ?

    • @koolingmonster
      @koolingmonster  Рік тому +1

      You are very welcome! Thermal pads are used when there are larger gaps between components that thermal paste cannot fill. If your laptop has thermal pads inside, there is no need to change them.

    I have the G15 5511, with i7-11800H and Nvidia 3060, at the present moment i'm struggling with the throttling problem, my CPU hits 100ºC (212ºF) all the while playing Fortnite, for example. I already try at this point "metal liquid" and the temperature cool down to 96ºC (204,8ºF) sometimes, but I still have a problem with a big fall of frame rate. I don't know if there is more else to do...

    • @koolingmonster
      @koolingmonster  Рік тому

      Liquid metal also degrades overtime and needs to be replaced, however we would still recommend using a thermal paste for much easier and safer replacement. We would suggest following this tutorial to clean out the dust clogging the fans and maybe give our thermal paste a try!

    • @Tomabyte
      @Tomabyte Рік тому

      @FalasDiversas If you hit WIN + R and type in "powercfg.cpl" , you can tweak the CPU power settings. I usually keep the processor power at 95 or 96% (instead of 99%) when plugged in and 89 to 94 when unplugged. Hope this tip helps.

    Can i fix the hing of my laptop dell g15 5511

    • @koolingmonster
      @koolingmonster  Місяць тому

      If it's just a loose screw, you can tighten it yourself. However, if the hinge is broken or damaged, you might need to replace the hinge or other related parts. It's recommended to consult with a professional technician to avoid causing further damage.

    paste spread is not required.. i think

    • @koolingmonster
      @koolingmonster  Рік тому +3

      You are correct. Spreading thermal paste is not required but is a easy way to check if you applied too much thermal paste. Accoring to our study, as long as the amount of thermal paste used is correct, the application method and whether you spread thermal paste or not does not matter. when you face heating issues or every 8-9 months

    • @koolingmonster
      @koolingmonster  10 місяців тому +3

      Under normal circumstances, it is possible to replace it every six months to a year, but we do not recommend judging solely based on time, as it largely depends on how you use your computer and the quality of the thermal paste. A better approach is to measure the CPU/GPU temperatures. For more details, you can refer to our Video #1 ("How often to change thermal paste") and Video #84 ("How to know if your laptop is overheating and if the CPU thermal paste needs replacing?") for a more thorough discussion on this topic ❤️~
