Greetings from Ukraine, we love kayaking here!
Greetings right back... Your country and people are on our minds constantly these days. I wish you the very best possible! Stay safe!
Now you gotta go find a prijon expedition. Enjoyed the episode
👋😎👍
I had to come back and add...
its really nice to see guys I know from a channel I watch regularly, because they're from what I've watched great lads hanging out with fellow Canadian Ken whom I've been watching for years...
The demand for Prijon Yukon Expeditions just went up a couple more notches...
Man, what a treat this video is, two of my favorite channels teaming up! Great video Ken!
When worlds collide! Good stuff guys!
Great video Pete got a zinger on ya! Love both your channels. Would like to see more trips like this. Maybe even longer video. Cheers. I think Pete is on another trip right now.
So awesome to see my two favorite Kayak channels doing a paddle tales video together! Keep up the excellent work Ken and Pete!
😱 I think you got P5 to say more in this video alone than Pete ever did in the entire River Kings catalogue 😱
I know right!!?? Lol! I was proud that he stepped up and did the interview!
Super awesome! Cold weather is the challenge, but you Ken nailed it perfectly!
Pete and Ken, the masters of water!
👌🏻🛶💚
Great paddling with you and Matt! Hope to get a chance to do it again soon!
Those are narrow portholes for the storage on that Virgo, love the flared hull design though.
"Its gonna be cold, but were paddling" truer words have not been spoken. That was basically my moto all winter while paddling!
Very cool video! Looked like a great trip!
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video! It was certainly unexpected that two of my favorite Kayaking channels would be collaborating together, it most certainly did not disappoint.
That was a funny little roast at the end between you and Pete! The camaraderie between you two is like watching life long friends/brothers who have experienced many of life's adventures together.
In closing, it is always a positive experience watching and I look forward to more: Paddle Tales! Thanks Ken!
Thanks Robert! It was such a pleasure to get to know Pete. He's a super guy, and such a great asset to the sport of whitewater paddling. I'm scared of how good P5 is going to get over the next few years too!
It is so cool to watch kayak camping with such high production value and story telling. Two legends in one video! Ken and the River Kings crew. Looking forward to more videos from this road trip!
That was great! Yes camping is magical as you said. Beautiful trip with nice company. Can’t beat that. I was on the water today and had a nice paddle to the fishing dock at Fort Loudoun State Park. Getting my strength back 13 weeks after humerus neck fracture. Love your videos. Oh and I finally mastered the torso rotation!!!!
Wow! That's quite a recovery you're going through. Great that you're able to get out and active again!
Looks like a beautiful trip; great to have you in our US stomping grounds... UK next?!
Great video. Lots of good memories of paddling on the New River, usually with a bunch of Boy Scouts. Thanks to everyone for a great trip.
Two paddle legends in my eyes. Great to see you’s together out on the water. Thanks😘
My two favorite channels in one video. Thank you for the production of an awesome video
Nice! Come to Virginia next, we're right next door. Two great paddling state destinations.
I really enjoyed this! I have been paddling 4 many years but have had a few injuries along the way, preventing me from paddling some years...this is going to be my return to paddling year! I have many places to paddle here, especially Algonquin park, which is my neighbour now! My life is great here, having a bike trail also nearby! Can't wait!
Heck of a neighbour you have! I have the same neighbour, although Acray is my closest access point. Enjoy the return to paddling!
Welcome to Carolinas, need to try some of our Carolina BBQ
Great seeing you in this neck of the woods. I have hiked and camped the mid-Atlantic for years. I've seen the River Kings in action too, you both provide great content.. thanks.
I've learned a lot watching both channels. I'm in north Florida, you guys should come down and do some coastal kayaking. I'm thinking Cumberland Island off the coast of Ga/Fl would be excellent.
Great video, somehow you always manage to include new information with enjoyment. I was wondering if you've traveled any Pacific northwest waters. I've lived here all my life, got into paddling about 15 years ago. There are some beautiful places out here, islands, bays (with ocassional Orca sightings), rivers and lakes. Sadly lots of people as well so it's getting more crowded on many of the favorite spots. Thanks for the great videos!
I went on a one night trip and did the exact same stretch! I would advise the river to anybody who is willing to make the trip. Maybe just when it’s a little bit warmer
Loved the video, one of your better videos!
Thank you sir
Great video. Really made my day. Would it be possible for you to do an "all in one" video showing your current paddling clothes loadout with combinations for different conditions? I am looking to purchase some gear to extend my season but don't want to get more or less than I need. Thank you.
Good idea! Stay tuned for a breakdown of what gear I brought on this trip, and how I packed the boat.
paddling and camping, difficulty is logistic, sea kayak's carrying space is small. sit on top may be better for logistic, but paddling is more difficult due to width of the kayak.
Cool- moving to NC soon, paddle a lot in Maine- where was this trip exactly?
You lucky dog! This section of the New River is about 2 hours north east of Asheville. Look for New River State Park campground. That was the takeout.
I've only done whitewater out there ( Nanty, Ocoee, Chattooga) I've been looking for long class I & II rivers to do solo multi day trips on in my Rec. Boat in N.C., Tn., Ga....anything from 30 to 100 miles long would be great. can you give me any suggestions? Thanks.
No answer huh. I'm in East Tennessee, New here, looking for long trips also.
Have tubed the New River in N. Carolina looks like it is good for solos.
I’m new to kayaking and I live near Asheville. Is a sit in kayak preferable on a river like this?
Your music comes In hot and I can barely hear you guys talk. So I have to play with the volume constantly raising and lowering it. Just some feedback.
Loved it Ken!!! Was a pleasure meeting and tripping with you! Folks, Ken is a class act - a true ambassador for the world of paddling!
