My first "Turkey Night Grand Prix" was 1973 at Ascot Park Gardena. I've been to 39 total Grand Prix's. I believe the best race I ever saw was 2018 at Ventura and the last 10 lap battle between Christopher Bell and Kyle Lawson. The amount of thunderous tank and wheel slapping that Lawson delivered to Bell was astounding in a failed effort to pass. Bell's car held up to the assault and won the race. The last 10-lap spectacle made the 2-hour drive up from Los Angeles worth it.

Ventura is the perfect size for Midget racing. Bring a jacket and something to sit on.

Excellent! Your dad was one of the great owners of that era. It takes more than drivers ya know.
