White mage deserves to be higher imo. Healing is important and they're the most efficient in almost every situation, and they're the only way to heal outside of battle without dumping money on potions all the time. Phoenix downs are expensive in ff5 too so you bet you'd wanna have someone with the raise spell. The only time I find it outclassed is by the end of the game when you're flowing with cash for mix items and probably have the quick spell by then. Even then though, multi target healing and the Arise spell are never ever bad options to have.
Exactly the dude that made this video is Crazy,as someone that's playing the game now using pizzaboy emulator the white Mage is One of the most necessary classes in the game, they are the best healers early on helping against many hard boss fights (like the fire spirit controlling karnak Queen)they Also have esuna helping you to get rid of all bad status effects(really useful when you go to the sky ruins)not to mention raise and protect.
Yeah, I don't get it either. You can get heals from blue mage and chemist but white mage is just simpler. I had a mimic character with x magic, white and black magic maxed out and just spammed the entire late game. That was quite strong.
Why not get some white magic and put it on the more powerful b mage? White mage isn't essential. White magic? Maybe essential. ("No white magic" might be a fun playthrough).
I haven't played it in a decade and this playthrough white mage has been helpful (level 14 so super early). It's mostly for poisona and the healing staff but I'm gonna drop that staff on a black mage soon
This is a good and funny video. I like it when you put the deep voice comments for the low tier haha This game, when I played it, felt like it was the lost, black sheep of the Final Fantasy games. I enjoyed playing it very much and will probably play it again; especially after watching this video. I was confused with the jobs to pick, which this video helps with. Thank you!
In defense of Bard I used to be a bard naysayer, but in my most recent playthrough I did some experimenting. Bard is a beast of a support class All songs have zero mp cost. It can 1 shot half the enemies in the pyramid, cast stop on all enemies with high success on most random enemies (taking away most threats in random fights, and it's one of the first songs obtainable), and in long fights such as the final boss, having a bard singing mighty march without a break can make even a low level party almost invincible and do 9999 with all stat based abilities (my summoner hit all targets for near max damage with Syldra by the time Neo Exdeath showed up, and X fight was hitting more than 5k per hit). Now some of these effects can be achieved with chemist, but you have to have the items in stock, and it can only target one target per turn. Also, yeah, chemist is super broken, especially in the og releases where mix could bypass every single boss's immunities to status effects. You could berserk Exdeath and bypass Neo Exdeath in doing so! I think a major flaw in this list is that many jobs' support abilities are ignored. Geomancer by itself is trash, but it gets abilities to ignore crippling damage from terrain and detect trap doors. Thief is top tier for preventing back attacks. There is so much utility in every job, and that's the beauty of FFV. Still enjoyed your take on the game.
Dude is Crazy, the geomancer can use ao spells without any cost like air Slash and earthquake among others, sure against bosses they don't do much but against Trash mobs it helps
also bard's hide ability is how I cleared the giant canon attack from the boss before the earth crystal. can't take damage if youre whole team is a spoony coward >:)
The one good thing about Berserker is it's insane attack modifier, master it and then take the equip axes passive which comes packaged with the Berserker's attack+ modifier on whatever class you actually want to use for added fun pick a caster and then watch the puny mages start Saitamaing everything they touch without even having to dip into MP you don't even need to equip axes just slot the ability on and the attack modifier will do the rest. Plus since it automatically berserks the party you can just rubber band the control stick down and auto farm low level mobs till it's mastered.
Noticing alot of people here agree that the White Mage should not have been ranked so low, and I agree. I would have put it closer to top tier. Not everything is about doing damage in an RPG. Healers and utility classes play an important role. Not much of an explanation why it was ranked this low. Most of the list was pretty good, but overlooking a healer that can cast Cure 3, esuna, life, and Holy is just a blunder.
Monk doesn't have any trouble keeping up with damage late game if you're a completionist. Monk damage formula is based on level and when you get kaiser knuckles you can boost that damage. a monk with kaiser knuckle and rapid fire can be a DPS king. pretty sure I outdamaged a knight with brave blade and ragnarok with rapid fire. which is impressive.
the problem with freelancer is its power is tied to all your other classes. so if you master all the other classes yeah its the best if you don't its just kind-of okay or terrible.
This game is my favorite of the series only for the customizability. There's even a mod for the GBA version that lets you use one more ability slot. You do have to manually equip "Item" though.
I feel like this list was constructed based more on personal opinion than anything else. Would like to see some logic applied to the analysis, rather than just ‘it’s not bad but not great either’
Definitely has some logic and research behind it but that’s good feedback. I should work on how I say things so that it doesn’t suggest a subjective opinion.
A couple things you didn't mention. Beserker class is my favorite. Perfect with brawl, double grip and two handed! Geomancer also prevents floor damage and protects from falling through floors! Bard is perfect for zombies and skeleton enemies. Up to 5k damage a turn is possible. Thief prevents untimely back attacks, white mage is very important lol red mage allows you to learn dualcast once maxed! Everything else you said I agree with and the order too! 2 Beserkers and two knights all day best combo.
Pretty poor list, you didn't even fully explain yourself, just like one sentence per character. Davidvinc's list makes a lot more sense, even if I disagree with some things.
Everyone can talk as much shit on the thief but at least you save money on valueable items. Also if a game has a crafting feature you can abuse this to your advantage to craft higher value items from the item drops or stolen loot and sell the crafted item for profit. KACHING!!! Or you can just get more potions to heal your team, either way the thief class is a great support character. Yes I consider thief classes as more of a support class.
I can't wait for the Pixel Remaster to come out. Really want to play this again. I'm surprised the White Mage is ranked so low... I have to imagine it's incredibly useful for a big chunk of the game. The Chemist is a pretty late-game job. Just like with FF3, I'd probably rank the White Mage higher just because you'll probably use it for 3/4 of the game. A Chemist is basically an F-tier 75% of the time if you can't pick it. That's just how I reason it out. This tier list feels like it's very end-game focused - the last few % of progress in the game rather than looking at the utility on the entire journey.
I definitely would've put Summoner higher if you want to have a black mage or use black magic at all, the summoner is a must to master as they have the highest magic stat (much higher than Black Mage) The late game summons also overpower all the black mage spells as well (Syldra and Bahamut mixed with Dualcast is op) Mastering a job give you the stats that job has as a bonus towards Freelancer so Summoner is a must-have for your magic DPS (which should be Lenna btw) Gladiator's finisher ability is also not nearly as great as you might think when you can use Rapid Fire with Dual Wield and combine that with a Dragon Power buff from Mix you can easily do 9999 damage 8 times every turn But props for realizing how OP Blue Mage and Chemist are in this game! lol
my next playthrough i want to experiment with starting fights with a (dead if necessary) berserker, a character that can inflict old, and a character with the bard's hide ability. let that opponent get fifty-thirty thousand years old. (revive berserker if dead so they can wail away on a decrepit shriveled opponent.)
Nice list! 😁 My list would be: God tier: freelancer for physic units, mimic for magic units. Obvious choices. Top tier: blue mage, chemist, ninja, summoner (golem is op and bahamut is very nice too), mystic knight, time mage(hastega, Quick, reset so gooooood!) gladiator (easy 9999) Mid tier: ranger (class is bad but rapid fire is too good), Red mage (same as ranger but double cast), White mage (almost mandatory all game), samurai, knight (double hand is so op and strong early game), Monk (big hp boost and good early game), Black mage, geomancer (good for mage units to save mp) Low tier: the rest
Every class has its uses when you study the game system, maybe except the Dancer class since eveything they can do can be done by another class except Sword dance, which by the end even with the 50% chance isnt as strong as Xfight Berserker is awesome when you get access to Death sickle (33% death chance), as most bosses dont have Heavy flag at that point (even the Seal guardians) Geomancer has ridiculous abilities in some certain terrain types: Attack-all spell with high magic power multiplier weirdly enough they have access to high attack power bells in some parts, Someone already mentionned Bard with requiem, Lovesong is another broken skill to use for mobcontrol and its free to cast Its true they arent as strong as Blue mages and Chemists but they can still offer some cheese through certain part of the game In single class challenge Berserker is indeed the worst 😅
The Freelancer system completely undermines all the work they did with the jobs in this game. You have a ton of possible team compositions, lots of unique sprites some artists worked hard on, lots of choices to make about which subskills to use.. And then they throw all that in the garbage by just making having no job the optimal choice for everyone. No team building, no real choices to make, no cool costumes. The game's much better if you just pretend Freelancer doesn't exist.
Summoner is top tier. Really they can do just about anything and don’t need the spread sheets of chemists nor the hunting of blue mages. Rod breaking is kinda busted in this game and any class that can do it is strong, but coupled with summoner’s amazing intelligence, they really shine. 1-2 summoners in the party at any time = easy game. Also, amazing art!
Well this is the thing you only increase Ranger to get RapidFire, but the Ranger itself is terrible and once you learn RapidFire there is no reason to pick this class.
I don't get why you put Bare at the top but mime near the bottom. They are basically the same class, just one has fight and items and the other has mime... and I guess the freelancer does have the benefit of being able to equip anything.
I’d have put summoner higher, while not the best in boss fights it is the grind king! given it can zantestuken it’s way through most of the heavy enemies in end-game it was probably the ability I used the most.
4:15 15 summons. ...but I guess you mean "6 summons with their own element" instead of "6 summons total, each with their own element," then... Ifrit: Fire Shiva: Ice Ramuh: Lightning Titan: Earth Leviathan: Water ...? ...maybe Syldra, but that's multi-elemental (Water/Lightning), kind of like Tritoch/Valigarmander from FF6 (Fire/Ice/Lightning) and Kjata from FF7 (also Fire/Ice/Lightning), and the elemental priority calculations are a bit of a cluster-F. As for the others? Chocobo: Non-elemental Sylph: Non-elemental (absorbs HP) Remora: Non-elemental Golem is a utility summon (takes physical damage in place of any party member) Carbuncle is utility (Reflect) Shoat/Catoplebas is non-elemental, non-damaging (inflicts Petrify) Odin is non-elemetal (Instant death on all enemies (Zantetsuken) unless at least one is immune to the effect, then non-elemental damage on one enemy (Gungnir)) Bahamut is non-elemental. ...oh...PHOENIX! (Fire)...but that's the same element as Ifrit.
Honestly Dancer will be more good if they rework it like Dancer "FF Dimension". Its like Bard but with debuffing enemies, and getting Physical attack "Sword Dance" at late game, rather than just randomly gacha FFV Sword Dance.
I am a bit confused by some of these placements. White Mage should be at least Top Tier due to been useful for the entire game and the closest thing to a must have class. White Mages don’t just only heal HP they also remove status effects and cast defensive buffs such as shell and protect and get access to Holy. Also Red Mage is way too high, yes a Red Mage is super useful due to their versatility in World 1 but then drop off hard in World 2. Time Mage is also too high, yes Time Mages have useful buffs but easy access to Hermes Sandals literally remove the need for casting their best buff in Hastega.
I loved the cannon boat and the Samurai, in the cannon boat, well the cannon XD, and the samurai the Zeninage, the problem with the samurai is that instead of healing with Potions or common white magic, and the other is Gladiator, His ability Dealing 9999 damage with one hit or doing criticals is great.
I just left my home and I see this video getting uploaded... damn talk about bad timing! But at least I'll have something awesome to watch when I arrive tho
White Mage is objectively higher tier than Red Mage, sorry. Red Mage is my favorite class in Final Fantasy as a franchise, but in FF5 they're literally just half of a White Mage, half of a Black Mage, and a rapier. If they could use 4th or 5th level Black and White Magic, there might be some point to them - or if they were a Crystal 1 mage job alongside Blue Mage, with Black and White Mage unlocked by a later crystal. Black Mage scales into late game like the Knight does, even if he winds up largely obsoleted by the Summoner and Magic Knight as the Knight does by the Samurai and Magic Knight. Red Mage is only so-so at best by the time you get it and falls off HARD as soon as 4th level magic shows up. White Mage's healing abilities, meanwhile, are something no other class can match. Others with _a_ healing ability need some luck or shenanigans to get it to go off (most cases) or to learn it (Blue Mage). White Mages are reliable healers and buff mages as well.
Do persona q to or tales of Vesperia. I would love to see ur take on them.also love ur cold steel videos they really helped.finally what are u best master quartz
To defeat shinryu, that's a trick, lower your battle massage, use a character to cast quick who got x fight and already learn two hand weapon, weapon are dragon Lance and chicken knife,16 times to do insane damage, and you win!
If you actually know what you're doing...Mime is the best job in the game. Second Freelancer. Mime can dump the fight and item commands. Freelancer might have more equipment options, but if you have mix on 3 or more characters you won't need whatever advantage gear access from Freelancers give you and mimes get passive abilities from mastered jobs just like the Freelancer. Mime, baby. Freelancers gimp themselves with less customization with their command lists.
If we're including the GBA classes then necromancer is the most useless. There is literally absolutely nothing left to do in the entire game after you get it
Those portraits of the characters you showed us in the video are completely out of model though. Galuf should be older, and Faris is supposed to look androgynous.
I really disagree with your Bard placement. Requiem is so overpowered if you are in an area with a lot of undead like the undersea trench its a literal breeze. The buffs are ok too. It's not great but it should be mid tier. I just found your channel this week. I like how straight to the point you are. Keep up the good work.
Great point and thanks for subscribing! I think the video’s are meant to be a starting point for the conversation. I try to be objective but subjectiveness is unavoidable. Comments like this make me really happy!
All but MONK are wort mastering if you add in the GBA version jobs its first 3 are useful NECROMANCER isn't since you have to beat the POST game FINAL BOSS of that extra dungeon just to unlock it and MOST if NOT all the Necromancer skills are gotten in the SAME dungeon as it.
For the dragoon.. Once u achieved joblvl 1 and got the !Jump ability.. the job is then useles.. Freelance & glads are much better dragoons than dragoons themselves... Btw..!Jump is only viable against shinryu.. coz jump only renders yor back row vulnerable.. The monk w/ its innate str & stamina is the strongest there is...
didnt watch entire video cuz it said which job is the best. not "tier list" and also four job fiesta. give it a try. before i discovered FJF i only played FF5 once. and i had to cheat at it cuz i wasnt playing it with a guide so there was a HUGE difficulty drop around the end of the W1 right b4 W2. Half of the bosses were rediciously over powered (cuz i didnt look up any of their information). i basically ended up using a money cheat code and running 4 samurai and gil tossing everything thru the end of the game. so i played it once and never looked back....then i discovered FF5 FJF. and i was hooked. the challenge. its not like stupid challenges like "speed run" or "solo run" it was definitely a "requires research and planning" kind of challenge. also on a side note. ill admit that there are plenty of jobs that are "god tier" on their own. but its the combinations that far outshine them. ranger + Ninja or spell blade. Red mages dual cast and any casting job. summoner, whm, blm, time. adding Mime allows u to dual cast two jobs. u can run blm and smn. dual cast. whm and time. dual cast. personally the ultimate combination IMO is free lance after mastering ninja ranger and spell blade. 8x drain blade or flare blade. one turn.
Something to consider is that acquired skills can be added to another class which can make for some creativity during playtime: Example 1. My favorite is to give a ninja the spellblade skill Example 2. A knight that uses White Magic is a Paladin which a lot of those who are reading this are no doubt already aware My point is that with so many combinations to choose from, the possibilities are endless
Final Fantasy V is my favorite game from the series FF. It may not have THE story like FFVI or VII but it's still an amazing FF to be played, mainly because of the Job system. The Mystic Knight is by far my favorite class!
I love these Tier list videos you make on your channel. I love love to see you make tier list video for any of the following RPGs (if you played them of course): Xenogears Xenosaga Ep1, 2 and 3 Baten Kaitos Baten Kaitos Origins Grandia series
Those are all great recommendations! I've played all of them. I'd say the chances that I do a Xenosaga trilogy tier list is fairly high in the future, also Grandia 3 has been on my mind as well! Thanks for the support!
Meh, Blue Mage and Chemist are such esoteric nonsense they were meant to sell guides Also, was freelancer added in a remake? That art is Bravely Default cosplay
Basically every skill you have learned you can equip, it has 3 open slots instead of the usual 2, every job you master the freelancer will get that jobs stat benefits like a high magic stat if you master black mage and a high HP/Strength if you master Monk and it can equip everything. If you put the work in it's very powerful.
Berserker being at the bottom is fine Geomancer has it's uses at times and it's !earth ability is good for helping casters do damage without using MP White Mage is S-tier, I almost clicked off the video because you put it so low Bard has requiem which is critical in some areas of the game Thief is a good class with a lot of utility Mimic should have been at the same level as Freelancer Dancer is garbage, should be lower Trainer should have been lower, control is nice, the whip is a nice weapon, but the purpose of the class is to get blue magic more easily Monk should be higher Red Mage is probably mid tier Summoner should be S-tier Black Mage should also be S-tier Archer is decent Dragoon is kind of impractical and jump makes your meat shield leave the scene Blue Mage is good Knight is good Mystic Knight is situational, mostly good if the boss has an elemental weakness Time Mage should be lower, it's good, but is inferior to white, black, blue mage, and summoner Ninja is good Chemist is good, but I think it's ranked too high Samurai is really good
Bard is much better than you give it credit for. Dragoon/Lancer isn't that good and Knights are better than them in almost every regard. Red Mage is weak and Summoner needs tons of MP.
your tiers need work. u need to go back and do some research on each of these characters. even some of the jobs by their selves not having combinations, your tiers are wrong. white mage: blink+berserk. some bosses are weak to this stuff. protect and shell, as long as u dont get dispel then this can literally make or break ur fight. raise. FREAKIN CURE. bard: allure and romeo literally takes care of ALL trash. stop all enemies, CONFUSE all enemies. 90% of all trash fall victim. requiem. literally handles the entire pyramid section. and most of the enemies in the mountain of W2. and Hero rhime. 8th song. u literally make ur chars lvl 99 without even trying against final boss. summoner: syldra + air knife > bahamut or levithan. yes the strongest two summons get outshined by a not so summon as long as you are geared properly. berserker: death scythe. yes running 4 berserkers is probably the most difficult especially in MANY fights but with the right set up they can be "not crap tiered". rune axe plus a casting subjob makes their damage OP and even better then a warrior. or a samurai. thor axe and gaia hammer. easy AoE attack. even better then a monk and his "focus". also equips better then one too. only down side? cant use items. mimes: by their selves, suck. if u dont add a single thing, yes they suck. gear them right. skill them right. they can actually be top tier. beastmaster is too high in my opinion. they were only useful to me in getting Blue magic.
White mage deserves to be higher imo. Healing is important and they're the most efficient in almost every situation, and they're the only way to heal outside of battle without dumping money on potions all the time. Even then though, multi target healing and the Arise spell are never ever bad options to have.
Yes I make lenna my white mage and master the job, and I give her a healing staff so she can heal teammates with it effectively without using MP.
Final Fantasy V might not have a great story but its gameplay makes it one of the most re-playable titles of the saga. Great Video!!!
Its story is not as bad as it seems
The story is really solid IMO. Ex-Death is cooler than kefka and golbez.
The story is the greatest! The music, the feels... 💕
It has a great story!
Story isn't bad, it's just the way games were written back then it comes off as shallow. The characters, sans Galuf are all under developed too.
White mage should be higher, some fights are impossible without healing. Other than that, I think the rest is pretty accurate.
White mage is probably the only must have class dude, wtf?
Absolutely. Every other class besides Bard/Time Mage is about dealing damage. If anything, it is in the highest tier.
Yeah, I don't get it either. You can get heals from blue mage and chemist but white mage is just simpler. I had a mimic character with x magic, white and black magic maxed out and just spammed the entire late game. That was quite strong.

No because white wind exist

Bro your videos are really dope glad I found your channel!
Glad you’re here!
Such a great list. It's really making me rethink my party strategy now
Great! It's always fun to try out something new in a classic game.
Definitely include Chemist and Blue Mage if you wanna knock out the late and end game challenges

I think that was the deviantart promoted at the beginning.

Very awesome art!!!! FfV is the only one i havent played, is it a worthwhile rpg?
It depends on what titles you've liked in the series so far. It pretty much revolves around the job gimic. If that's your thing then give it a try!
The story is very basic, but the job system is fantastic.
So many tactics and customization. Awesome game
Yes! You will enjoy it
Lol FFv is really fun cause you can customize your parrty with diff jobs and also there are superbosses and epic theme music.
A couple things you didn't mention. Beserker class is my favorite. Perfect with brawl, double grip and two handed! Geomancer also prevents floor damage and protects from falling through floors! Cannonier, gladiator? Are these new to the Gameboy Advanced version?
Yep and necromancer
Hidden end game jobs in the underwater cave with Necromancer and Oracle
Pretty poor list, you didn't even fully explain yourself, just like one sentence per character. Davidvinc's list makes a lot more sense, even if I disagree with some things.

Yep, I agree.
I definitely would've put Summoner higher
if you want to have a black mage or use black magic at all, the summoner is a must to master as they have the highest magic stat (much higher than Black Mage)
The late game summons also overpower all the black mage spells as well (Syldra and Bahamut mixed with Dualcast is op)
Mastering a job give you the stats that job has as a bonus towards Freelancer so Summoner is a must-have for your magic DPS (which should be Lenna btw)
Gladiator's finisher ability is also not nearly as great as you might think when you can use Rapid Fire with Dual Wield and combine that with a Dragon Power buff from Mix
you can easily do 9999 damage 8 times every turn
But props for realizing how OP Blue Mage and Chemist are in this game! lol
what is the song? 7:18
my next playthrough i want to experiment with starting fights with a (dead if necessary) berserker, a character that can inflict old, and a character with the bard's hide ability. let that opponent get fifty-thirty thousand years old. My list would be:

Mid tier: ranger (class is bad but rapid fire is too good), Red mage (same as ranger but double cast), White mage (almost mandatory all game), samurai, knight (double hand is so op and strong early game), Monk (big hp boost and good early game), Black mage, geomancer (good for mage units to save mp)
Low tier: the rest
Nice list!
Your List is 100 Times better as of this Guy👍👍. You must do a Video.
My Jobs😁:
1 Ninja: Throw!, Rapidfire!
2 Mime: White!, Time!, Summon!
3 Freelancer: Rapidfire!, Two-Hands/Spellblade!/Zaninage!
4. Mime: White!, Time!, Black!
Every class has its uses when you study the game system, maybe except the Dancer class since eveything they can do can be done by another class except Sword dance, which by the end even with the 50% chance isnt as strong as Xfight
Berserker is awesome when you get access to Death sickle (33% death chance), as most bosses dont have Heavy flag at that point (even the Seal guardians)
Geomancer has ridiculous abilities in some certain terrain types: Attack-all spell with high magic power multiplier
weirdly enough they have access to high attack power bells in some parts,
Someone already mentionned Bard with requiem, Lovesong is another broken skill to use for mobcontrol and its free to cast
Its true they arent as strong as Blue mages and Chemists but they can still offer some cheese through certain part of the game
In single class challenge Berserker is indeed the worst 😅
The Freelancer system completely undermines all the work they did with the jobs in this game. You have a ton of possible team compositions, lots of unique sprites some artists worked hard on, lots of choices to make about which subskills to use.. And then they throw all that in the garbage by just making having no job the optimal choice for everyone. No team building, no real choices to make, no cool costumes. The game's much better if you just pretend Freelancer doesn't exist.
I hate freelancer so much. You have to grind and max multiple other jobs for their stats to even carry over which is a pain in the ass
It's been years since I played ff5. I just need to get through ff4 and I will be onto this game.
What is the music at 7:02?
Darude - Sandstorm
I think this list underrates Ranger, considering most of the footage of other jobs doing tons of damage are using RapidFire.
Ifrit: Fire
Shiva: Ice
Ramuh: Lightning
Titan: Earth
Leviathan: Water
...?
...maybe Syldra, but that's multi-elemental (Water/Lightning), kind of like Tritoch/Valigarmander from FF6 (Fire/Ice/Lightning) and Kjata from FF7 (also Fire/Ice/Lightning), and the elemental priority calculations are a bit of a cluster-F.
As for the others?
Chocobo: Non-elemental
Sylph: Non-elemental (absorbs HP)
Remora: Non-elemental
Golem is a utility summon (takes physical damage in place of any party member)
Carbuncle is utility (Reflect)
Shoat/Catoplebas is non-elemental, non-damaging (inflicts Petrify)
Odin is non-elemetal (Instant death on all enemies (Zantetsuken) unless at least one is immune to the effect, then non-elemental damage on one enemy (Gungnir))
Bahamut is non-elemental.
...oh...PHOENIX! (Fire)...but that's the same element as Ifrit.
Pretty good! Blue mage is just time consuming though.
@Will Muny I did - when I played this as a kid. I never did find all the spells
Red mage is literally the strongest mage in FFV solely due to getting double cast
Where’d you get the transition art?
I mention the artist at the begging. Just google them. It’s on deviant art
@@locloudanerpg oh, thank you very much!
When me and my buddy played this game, we had the whole party wipe on a boss fight except Berserker Faris, and she clutched out the win. 😂
I just left my home and I see this video getting uploaded... damn talk about bad timing! But at least I'll have something awesome to watch when I arrive tho
Haha drive safe
To me samurai is the best job
Do one for FFX2 next
It’s in the que!
@@locloudanerpg awesome!!!
Do persona q to or tales of Vesperia. I would love to see ur take on them.also love ur cold steel videos they really helped.finally what are u best master quartz
I haven't done a Tales game yet. Is Vesperia your vote?
Freelancer with magic sword and x strike can one shot omega. Though shinryu becomes harder due to the invisible hit box
To defeat shinryu, that's a trick, lower your battle massage, use a character to cast quick who got x fight and already learn two hand weapon, weapon are dragon Lance and chicken knife,16 times to do insane damage, and you win!
The Jackanapes is cancer. 🤣 The fact you caught one makes that job actually useful.
There is literally absolutely nothing left to do in the entire game after you get it
Bard is absolutely busted. Should be god Tier for sure.
I will say, if you play like me, I usually have millions of gil by the end of the game, mimic and coin toss can wipe the final boss out easily.
berserker, geomancer, dancer are the best.
honorable mention is mime.
Once u achieved joblvl 1 and got the
!Jump ability.. the job is then useles..
8x drain blade or flare blade. one turn.
Best SNES Job: Chemistry.
Best GBA Job: Cannoneer.
Something to consider is that acquired skills can be added to another class which can make for some creativity during playtime:
Example 1. My favorite is to give a ninja the spellblade skill
Example 2. A knight that uses White Magic is a Paladin which a lot of those who are reading this are no doubt already aware
My point is that with so many combinations to choose from, the possibilities are endless
Haven’t watched yet but think I know which two classes r God tier
How is white mage in low tier? Lol
Final Fantasy V is my favorite game from the series FF. It may not have THE story like FFVI or VII but it's still an amazing FF to be played, mainly because of the Job system. The Mystic Knight is by far my favorite class!
I love these Tier list videos you make on your channel. I love love to see you make tier list video for any of the following RPGs (if you played them of course):
Xenogears
Xenosaga Ep1, 2 and 3
Baten Kaitos
Baten Kaitos Origins
Grandia series
Those are all great recommendations! I've played all of them. I'd say the chances that I do a Xenosaga trilogy tier list is fairly high in the future, also Grandia 3 has been on my mind as well! Thanks for the support!
Meh, Blue Mage and Chemist are such esoteric nonsense they were meant to sell guides
Also, was freelancer added in a remake? That art is Bravely Default cosplay
Yo can someone here explain me how freelancer work ?
Basically every skill you have learned you can equip, it has 3 open slots instead of the usual 2, every job you master the freelancer will get that jobs stat benefits like a high magic stat if you master black mage and a high HP/Strength if you master Monk and it can equip everything.
If you put the work in it's very powerful.
New Drinking Game, guaranteed to get you drunk! Do a shot every time "Break the Game" or "Broken" is said.
Even the bad jobs are great
Berserker being at the bottom is fine
Geomancer has it's uses at times and it's !earth ability is good for helping casters do damage without using MP
White Mage is S-tier, I almost clicked off the video because you put it so low
Bard has requiem which is critical in some areas of the game
Thief is a good class with a lot of utility
Mimic should have been at the same level as Freelancer
Dancer is garbage, should be lower
Trainer should have been lower, control is nice, the whip is a nice weapon, but the purpose of the class is to get blue magic more easily
Monk should be higher
Red Mage is probably mid tier
Summoner should be S-tier
Black Mage should also be S-tier
Archer is decent
Dragoon is kind of impractical and jump makes your meat shield leave the scene
Blue Mage is good
Knight is good
Mystic Knight is situational, mostly good if the boss has an elemental weakness
Time Mage should be lower, it's good, but is inferior to white, black, blue mage, and summoner
Ninja is good
Chemist is good, but I think it's ranked too high
Samurai is really good
Bro sorry I’m late lol this was awesome
No problem. Glad you liked it!
Bard is much better than you give it credit for. Dragoon/Lancer isn't that good and Knights are better than them in almost every regard. Red Mage is weak and Summoner needs tons of MP.
FF5 has my least favorite story and characters but makes up for it with its gameplay and music.
the best job is the nothing job :v
your tiers need work. u need to go back and do some research on each of these characters. even some of the jobs by their selves not having combinations, your tiers are wrong.
white mage: blink+berserk. some bosses are weak to this stuff. protect and shell, as long as u dont get dispel then this can literally make or break ur fight.
8th song. u literally make ur chars lvl 99 without even trying against final boss.
summoner: syldra + air knife > bahamut or levithan. yes the strongest two summons get outshined by a not so summon as long as you are geared properly.
berserker: death scythe. yes running 4 berserkers is probably the most difficult especially in MANY fights but with the right set up they can be "not crap tiered". rune axe plus a casting subjob makes their damage OP and even better then a warrior. or a samurai. thor axe and gaia hammer. easy AoE attack. even better then a monk and his "focus". also equips better then one too. only down side? cant use items.
mimes: by their selves, suck. if u dont add a single thing, yes they suck. gear them right. skill them right. they can actually be top tier.
beastmaster is too high in my opinion. they were only useful to me in getting Blue magic.
freelancer
Monk
Oracle is awful really. Can't see how it is better than Geo and WM.
Holy effing ads
No ads for me. You likely had the ones that YT auto adds. The uploader has to remove them after.
Disagree with almost everything you said.
Amazing feedback
@@locloudanerpg What do you mean by "broken game"?
This list seems terrible, tbh.
