Jon! You have a unique gift of making people smile from ear to ear even while discussing a challenging topic like cfs. Your story is so inspiring and it was such an honor to be on this journey with you. 🎉
Thus is such a great interview. Thanks for sharing your recovery story. So helpful and inspiring. Also, so very relatable to what we experience on this recovery journey 😊
@cfsrecovery thanks for replying Miguel. I battle worry and depression and lots of looping thoughts everyday. A lot of my other symptoms are much better, but constant worry remains, especially in the morning.
Brain retraining helps by calming your nervous system and reducing stress signals, which can lower the body's "fight or flight" response. This creates a healing environment where your mitochondria can function better and repair over time. It's about rewiring your brain to support balance and resilience-small steps that lead to big changes! 🌟
Does insomnia or somniphobia or sleep disturb cause CFS or CFS type symptoms.. i just cant figure it out... def getting PEM during horrid sleep issues but im just not sure.. how can we tell plesse help.. thank you from Fiji 🇫🇯
Hey Miguel, I have a question. I'm wondering why you always refer to this disorder as CFS , when it seems the root cause is anxiety? (Nervous system sensitization). I noticed that doctors will diagnose any anxiety symptom as a separate disorder (visual snow syndrome, CFS, long covid, POTS, complicated grief syndrome, etc.). I'm just wondering why you take the angle of focusing on the one label
Doctor please reply i got kiss sound from brain my mind is ok normal mri i feel dizzy disoriented and what not i got kiss sound from brain after accident after 1day can i get recovered
it is short for adjustment period. its what the program refers to flare-ups usually following an increase in activity as your body recalibrates. They are regarded not as setbacks but in fact stepping stones towards recovery..
I had tinnitus for about 6 months. I happened to have an appointment with an ENT specialist about another issue, but talked to him about the tinnitus. He said to me that people with CFS, Fibromyalgia etc that lack sleep tend to get tinnitus. Once I got better sleep, the tinnitus cleared up and hasn’t come back. Hope this helps.

How does brain retraining help with mitochondria damage?

Did you say you had tinnitus? Do you still have it?
I had tinnitus for about 6 months. I happened to have an appointment with an ENT specialist about another issue, but talked to him about the tinnitus. He said to me that people with CFS, Fibromyalgia etc that lack sleep tend to get tinnitus. Once I got better sleep, the tinnitus cleared up and hasn’t come back. Hope this helps.
I do still have tinnitus but it is much milder and more manageable than it was..once my nervous system became more regulated it lost its intensity.
Every time my doc gave me more supplements he would say , I take that. I though he must take 100 pills a day... Supplements made me soo stressed out
do you realize how long it takes to see a doctor or get tests/scans in the US? I say start the program while your waiting for your tests
Looks like Nicolas Cage 😅
Haha! Right! 👍😊
