It was the main reason I decided to try Dex/int style. My first time playing was an Int/str build. Started off as a mage, hit level 25 in, 25 vig and dumped into strength until I had 40. It was so fun. But I found this, and jfc it's fun
Wing of Astel was part of my magic pvp build. Combined with founding rain of stars and magic downpour a lot of players just freaked out in the fireworks, enough so I could cut them down
It continuously baffles me that Marika's Hammer doesn't get the golden aoe on charged heavies, it would be so fitting and make the hammer a lot more useful.
Wing of Astel was the weapon I stuck with in my first playthrough (1st souls-like playthrough at all for me). I fell in love with it and it felt so right destroying Elden Beast with Nebula and getting the age of stars ending

OP weapons just look like a cheat code when someone like HIM using it. There’s a girl on Twitch who literally destroys Elden Ring on a DANCE PAD, instead of using controllers or PC. She played on a dance pad and destroyed everyone. Because SHE is OP. Some people are like that. While most others cries and complains about the game being “too hard”. Duality of people
I think you're half wrong. There are way too many people who think the game is hard because they have a badly defined build or don't level vigor enough who think it's just a inherently difficult game. People who get well defined builds/push vigor to 50+ aren't overpowered players. Some people are genuinely making the game difficult on themselves without knowing it.
I dunno man there is a pretty big difference when using something like a bleed build versus a normal dagger. Gino is really good at souls games but it doesnt take away from having a good build.

Yeah there’s a fair amount of bugs. I’ve been losing my mind trying to figure out how equipping the Godfrey icon talisman that increases charged attack damage somehow lowers the damage of stars of ruin. But it’s nonsensical gotta be a full blown bug

This is great to see because I just started a new run to prepare for the DLC and I thought the wing of Astel looked really fun so that’s what I’m doing!
Charged heavy on this weapon is also incredible, especially at melee range because you do 2 hits plus 2 projectiles, dealing a rather massive amount of poise damage on top of a more than respectable amount of damage. The ability to do a quick heavy attack for a relatively short range projectile also gives the weapon a lot of uses besides pure damage, which is something most weapons lack. Of course, being a curved sword means that the light attacks are quick, which is definitely a plus in many situations even if the range is not that great. Overall, it's an incredible int weapon, and its ash of war that melts large targets is "just" an added bonus.

I like to use wing along with carian slicer, piercer, and gavel on a staff in my off-hand. Great for pvp. You got the wing and the op spells. You melt fools
i was using the wing of astel on my first playthrough and not only did it not do this much damage, i never could find a window to use the cloud attack, this is wild
I like to do a completely blind first playthrough of every from soft game to get the intended experience and then I do several playthroughs using every method of damage be it magic, pyromancer and the different weapon types with the help of walkthroughs, I have not made an exception to this rule yet and I have been playing from soft games since 2008 I remember my first playthrough of ds1 I was a Havel pyromancer with a halberd and I beat the game at level 79
I just found this weapon and I’m straight up LOVING it. The charge heavy feels soo good. Its not good for swarms like starscourge is, but it made that black knife tiche boss easy AF when I was struggling hard with other weapons By far my fav weapon in game so far. It immediately went to max lvl

Ew, I’m never not levelling faith again, WTF, might as well just use Godrick’s rune+ faith tear+ two fingers talisman early on, it grants more power and the incantation lasts literally more than double the ash of war, and can be boosted with the old lord talisman.
17:20 I don't know why but I am an Elden Ring kleptomaniac. Even if I'm playing on a cheated save with literally every item in the game, I will still have a raven brain moment and grab anything shiny I see, even if I know it's a completely useless item that I've memorized the position of.
Honestly I think the only thing that would make me like Elden ring more is making Holy damage actually Vialble, like so many of the cool weapons deal holy damage but like, half of the important bosses have crazy holy resistance and it makes sense because it’s literally just a game about killing gods but now added with the DLC and a lot of bosses continuing to have Holy resistance, a lot of the cool weapons just aren’t as viable because despite being cool they just don’t do good enough damage when it counts
I switched to an INT build to use it and see what it was like and changed back after beating a few bosses so quick that i didn't even get to see their movesets.
@@roivisions5537 Somewhere around 100. Not sure what you mean by lost, if you mean where it's at then Rennala does it after you beat her if you bring her a Larval Tear, you find a bunch underground. If you mean as far as stat changes really what you're doing is just changing your primary stats around for whatever weapon or spell, like swapping from 60 Strength to 60 Dex.
@@FoostiniI do get those things but it’s more like I have no idea on what to respec too. Is strength really far better than Dex, do I respec around the weapons I want to use

u just listed out my journey (I started pretty late) and to add to that list is Bushy, Captain_Domo, Ainrun and Zoodle
Ng+ and beyond is soo much better imo. You get to use many different weapons and builds without having someone drop you a weapon early

Try using it on human form enemies - hopeless. On big enemies though you can quickly spam the skill till they dead

Used for second half of first playthrough and NG+. The delay on arte is useful on so many bosses as long as you space and kite the bosses correctly
