21:19 I love the open world aspect of Elden Ring. I think a lot of people's disappointment with the open world comes from the fact that, in linear soulslikes, "exploration" is pretty much always rewarded with cool, unique items or lore. But in the linear ones, exploration is rarely much more than "hey check out this cool side path" that either reconnects with the main path, or, in the case of things like DS3s smoldering lake, it's kinda just its own area without relevance to the greater world and story. You could go many playthroughs without even realizing you can break the bridge to Wolnir, and it essentially wouldn't affect your understanding of the game and you'd miss out on a few kinda neat items. In an open world, everything that doesn't immediately head towards the next story beat is exploration, so to reward every stray path with something cool and unique would be unfeasible amounts of work. And even if they tried to put something neat in every single remote corner of the lands between, you'd get so bored and inundated with a million "unique" weapons and armors that are so marginally different that there's basically no point. I'd personally rather they focus their energy on making the main stuff and the side stuff they did add better rather than slapping in a million different uniques that are almost functionally identical to randomly toss around every nook and cranny.
I personally kinda don't like open world of Elden Ring because its... Kinda kills repeatability for me. When you play it for the first time it's fantastic - every corner have potential, there can be anything, any cool loot or amazing boss. Your first two or three catacombs are exiting and fun just because they unfamiliar and hold many possibilities. And even if you realise they all very samey, they still could have some cool loot (you never know until you cleared them). But after you finished the game, and now know where everything is, any subsequent run turns into a chore list. Collect all flasks, physics, kill big mama dragon and/or wannabe Nazghul, collect ballbearings/smithing stones, and half of this stuff doesn't even require you to interact with enemies. And the stuff that does requires it usually locked behind quite boring or/and annoying enemies, and there is SO much stuff do get. I was very exited to go on NG+, but literally got tired in a middle of it, and never got far on any new characters. Not that I replayed previous From titles very much, but at least DS1 I have replayed four times. Maybe just a problem of my fried by youtube adhd brain, dunno.

These cheeses sometimes. The Ice Bird Warrior F*cker on the rooftops before Consort Radahn, eg. Or the Invader before Metyr. This is so genius, but also so funny sometimes :D
If you mean the cross slash then its not rng, he just simply doesnt do the move if you stand to the side of him and even if he cued up the attack you can just easily dodge it from that position.
@@calebmata2337 Ok it seems to me i have to explain boss attacks in Fromsoft games a bit more in depth. So basically a lot of attacks in these games are heavily dependant on your position. For example if you are far away it doesnt make sense for bosses to do close range attacks, right? Well so far so good but the important part here is that the boss doesnt just decide the next attack, it also decides the attack after that before even doing the first attack. For example you are in front of Radahn and Radahn already cues up "Combo 1 -> Cross Slash". If you now stand still Radahn will do Combo 1 and then cue up a new attack "Cross Slash->New Attack". Now he will do Cross Slash. IF you moved to the bosses right side while "Combo 1 -> Cross Slash" was cued up he will do combo 1 and then add a new attack but this time one that he can do while you are on the right side of him which does not include cross slash because he cant do it at the side, so now we have "Cross Slash->New attack" still cued up meaning Cross Slash comes next even if you are now at the side of him. But thankfully dodging Cross Slash from this position is much easier. Ok, now if you stay at his side he now has "New Attack 1-> New Attack 2" both of which cannot be Cross Slash if you stayed at his side. This prevents the boss from doing the attack from now on unless you mess up or the boss forces you into a bad position. This basically covers why the attack can technically still happen at the side but shouldnt very often if you play correctly. Hope you learned something!
As soon as he walked into Romina I was eating my food and sound out loud "I really like this boss"... I couldn't believe how hard I got called out after that.

Having some weapons drop at a low rate ensures most players who aren’t going to play dozens upon dozens of runs or care enough to look things up via Wiki will stumble upon weapons their other more casual friends won’t, which just furthers the sense of wonder and excitement experienced through their games.
Fantastic run, Gino. You’re a highly skilled gamer.
So, when are you gonna play Lies Of P, and do a no hit run on that? 😅
Rellana fight is actually insane 😂
Gino the GOAT
@@whocareslol9113 misspelled Gyno
Seeing you beat promised radahn is truly heartwarming
I like Romina's design. As an actual fight though, it just falls flat.
you should check out Question Marks' runs. they're pretty crazy. he got a +0 dlc no hit along with a damageless dlc run
These cheeses sometimes. The Ice Bird Warrior F*cker on the rooftops before Consort Radahn, eg. Or the Invader before Metyr. This is so genius, but also so funny sometimes :D
I watched this simply to see how to goat fights radahn cause there was a move I was unsure about, turns out we fight him the same exact way
The music cutting out for consort was golden 😂
The radahn fight was unreal. You are talented
yo nice run dude! hope things are going well dude! dude
The rng for radahn to not do his “undodgable” move once is insane
If you mean the cross slash then its not rng, he just simply doesnt do the move if you stand to the side of him and even if he cued up the attack you can just easily dodge it from that position.
@@JMB_Smash what a contradiction
@@calebmata2337 Can you please point out this "contradiction"?
@@JMB_Smash if you’re in the position to dodge it he won’t do the move
Hope you learned something!
the run was amazing but the beard and mustache are majestic
Holy crap, that Rellana fight was perfectly optimized.
As soon as he walked into Romina I was eating my food and sound out loud "I really like this boss"... I couldn't believe how hard I got called out after that.
it’s so weird hearing a boss having my name, never had that before
That lag on Messmer might be due to full shader cache, you can change shader cache size to unlimited in NVidia Control Panel to fix
