It is one of the top 5 funniest films I've seen and I am usually very tough on comedies. Wonderful editing, great commentary, and while art is always subjective, I can always appreciate the time needed to create thorough retrospectives, no matter the topic. Also, that ending was out of left field and I love the shift. 😂
What an interesting project. Depending on your tastes and sensibilities it's hard for me not to think that you're going to be watching some real bangers but you're also going to watch some real flops and the one thing you might see if you watch a whole bunch of Tom Cruise and a short period of time is the amount of intensity he brings to everything. He is one of my favorite actors on screen but not one of my favorites off screen. He's walked right up to the line of being somebody I don't have any interest in because of his off-screen antics that he's pulled himself back together and makes good movies still. I'm okay with intensity as long as is not a lot of collateral damage and it seems like he takes care of the people around him so who knows
Couldn't agree more, and as you say Magnolia is the best role Cruise has ever played. I love the interview piece, it's so well done and Tom really sells the feelings his character is going through in that scene.
Magnolia was the first DVD I bought after I saw it in the cinema when it first came out. I've watched it over and over. It was emotiional wrenching. All the actors were great.
Tom Cruise understands what movie stars in the past understood, or rather the studios understood and that is a movie star should never be too understandable, because "familiarity really does breed contempt". People might say they want relatable entertainers, but that only goes so far, because as the internet and social media has shown us, these are also the easier targets to tear down as soon as they reveal something about themselves that people don't like.
Awesome look back on the work of Tom Cruise. I enjoyed every minute of this. As to my own favourites? I think I would opt for Minority Report, Vanilla Sky, The Last Samurai and without doubt Top Gun Maverick. Enjoyed American Made too. Thanks for sharing your own preferences.
Damn, the DVD pulling is so simple, yet it somehow makes this one of the most suspenseful countdown videos I've ever seen. Great work!

Born on the Fourth of July would be a lot higher on my list - it really blew me away
Great video!
The editing in this video alone is crazy. Kudos to you bro 👏👏
Masterclass video bro
Couldn't agree more, and as you say Magnolia is the best role Cruise has ever played. I love the interview piece, it's so well done and Tom really sells the feelings his character is going through in that scene.
Amazing video! Loved it.
People might say they want relatable entertainers, but that only goes so far, because as the internet and social media has shown us, these are also the easier targets to tear down as soon as they reveal something about themselves that people don't like.

you sir ... did a fantastic job with this video ... absolutely genius !!!
How underrated you're especially the Thomas Mapother Cruise 4th Joke & at the end you breakin the 4th wall 😂😂
The color of money is better than any mission impossible movie and certainly better than war of the worlds.
Les Grossman deserves more appreciation lol
this is such a well made video, WOW
14:33 is the highlight of my day😂
This is so underrated. So awesome!
Eyes Wide Shut is the number 1 for me by far. I just got to see it in a theater for the first time and my god what an experience.
Amazingly accurate and insightful documentary!
"To get his Tom CRUISED" 😂
Great video, thanks for sharing. Where would you rank Austin Powers in Goldmember? Slightly more screen time than in Endless Love. 😉
This needs more views it's amazing and in-depth
The Tropic Thunder placement is the only real misstep of the video. Swap it with Magnolia (which sucks) and the list is perfect.
