I recall hearing about how the stunt coordinator specifically decided to take inspiration straight out of the actual Spider-Man comics from the time for how Spider-Man (Takuya Yamashiro) moved in the show. That combined with the really accurate costume helmed by Eaves Brooks makes this a fairly accurate Spider-Man.

I didn’t grow up with the Incredible Hulk series but somehow I owned a dvd of the pilot episode as a kid and man… I don’t think I was ever more into a Hulk story before. That whole opening scene where you just see Bruce and his wife being the happiest couple in the world, only to see his wife killed and Bruce survive in the saddest way possible. Just… dude. Not since Pixar’s Up had an opening scene give more emotional whiplash in the most gut-wrenching way. There was some legitimate filmmaking being done on that pilot, and I’m glad that it’s still recognized all these years later.
In my head canon, 1940s Cap is the father of 1970s cap. How are the 70s Captain America movies better than the 90s one? At least the one from the 90s actually adapts some of the source material.
Bill Bixby is the best Live Action Hulk, Eric Bana was okay, Mark Ruffalo could’ve been better if he were in more MCU films than the Avengers films and Thor: Ragnorak. Ed Norton could’ve been good too but he was done SO dirty due to him trying to change the script
Everyone leaves out Men In Black. It was a Malibu Comics property, but Malibu was bought by Marvel shortly before the film came out. Marvel is the company mentioned in the opening credits (before the bug splats on the windshield) giving Marvel its first success in the theaters. (I think it's a tie or something with Blade, coming out around the same time.)
For some reason, apart from a two issue prequel mini-series (set in the movies' continuity) published to tie-in with the release of MEN IN BLACK II, Marvel haven't published any Men In Black comics since.

Could you watch all DC movies before 2000 and make a video of it..pls🙃. Loved the video dude
This is great stuff! Thanks for all the info, because not much is known about the behind-the-scenes stuff in the pre-internet era
If it weren’t for these movies (especially Captain America in 1944), the MCU would’ve never existed
Great video - love the editing. This must have taken ages to research. Also, The Hoff as Nick Fury is peak pre-MCU.
I have watched the Japanese Spider-Man pilot movie only once, but it was so fire. ❤️🔥
Can't believe you dissed Blade and Fantastic Four (2005) like that :(
Believe it :)
Well ff 2005 sucks
@@Isaacisaperson4677its not that bad its just supposed to be a 2000s comedy not a big budget mcu film where if they do one thing wrong the entire universe dies with you needing to watch 10 movies to understand it
@@Isaacisaperson4677I guess it's just hard to understand if you were born in 2018 like you
glory to nicholas hammond 1977 the real spiderman
I'm leaving this comment so it helps more people see this amazing video. Really fun and well done!
Thanks for this trip down memory lane! Having grown up in the 60's & 70's, I have seen most of these movies, weeping over the cost to my soul! 😶
Blade should be Number One (even if the second is better)
When you said fake handshake, I was unsure of what you meant. I laughed so hard.
As a huge Spider-Man fan I was so disappointed with those 70s movies. Japanese version was so much better even if it’s Power Ranger Spider-Man. Oh and I love Dolph Lundgren’s Punisher!
Wow, dude, I think the only part of this video I would have rethought was your final line. Beyond that, this is a solid editorial and video essay. I am very impressed with your level of research.
