"I'll drink the bleach in my water..but don't you dare put it on my roof" LMAO😂
Always appreciate your “free” advice Cody.
when I am asked about what cleaners I will be using I straight up tell them it is 99% water 1% bleach when doing a house wash
When doing a roof wash I say it a little bit different I say it’s 4% by volume. That seems to do pretty well with older folks. On the rare occasion that someone may have allergic reaction to the smell of bleach I think it is imperative that we are honest about the chemicals in solutions that we are using whenever possible. In addition if you recommend the homeowner stays inside during the cleaning process this may mitigate any allergic reactions. Also if time permits I will educate the homeowner about the mold and mildew that we are cleaning off of the structure will benefit them by reducing allergies and improving indoor air quality. Several studies have shown that cleaning the exterior of the home improves the indoor air quality at a fairly significant rate. If I run across those articles again I will link to them so you can read
Love watching this dude. Real shit makes me lmao.
you are hitting it head on man! thank you...
This is perfect advice! Best tip I’ve heard this week.
Had a customer last year that had been “warned” of bleach on their house. I told her I wouldn’t clean it without bleach. After I talked to her And explained the process I sold the job.💰💰💰
oooooooo dawgg... c'mon preach it.
This definitely is a good advice thx
I've wondered how people think you can clean an organic material that doesnt harm organic materials.
I have always been straight up honest with my customers, about the chemicals I use, and even if they freak out, then I educate them about the chemicals being used, it takes any of the stress away on their end. I have never lost a job due to the fact we use bleach. I gain the job because customers love it when the contractor they are hiring, knows what they are doing, educated about the chemicals you are using, techniques we are using, equipment and so on. Be professional about it and you will be fine.
Bought some stuff from yall,in your SH tank, you dilute it before going to blend manifold
If asked, I use the term pool shock, and explain I get it from the company that provides it to all the YMCAs and water parks in our area. I've never had a complaint or concern.
You're a very good businessman Sir. Good advice
Great video....it's like going Burger King and demanding a Big Mac....sorry you got the wrong place. You tell them....this is who I am, and what I do. Take it or leave it.
When I was in the business, I said that we use a biodegradable product specifically used to kill visible mold and mildew down to their microscopic roots.
I recall as I started in House washing business and I was all excited and paid for the lead through Home Advisor this year. Alright, so, I came out gave the estimate and was very professional and then was asked what do you use? I explained, "I use professional mix of bleach diluted in water and will clean and I rinse before and after to protect plants". It was probably the 3rd estimate and hadn't run into a bad approach to bleach. I didn't get the job and probably lost the job to a company named EnviroXXXX because their wording is "biodegradable house wash" or Enviromentally friendly. Although everyone uses SH. Now I call it House Wash, Sodium Hypochlorite. Some know because have learned with their own pressure washers how to wash their house and know from professional stores its SH that works. I also, respond that other items or other baking soda solutions wont work on this type of mildew its just too weak. thanks for the video its what actually happens in the business.
Every day I learn more watching your videos thank u
So when Mrs. Snodgrass tells me to not use bleach I'll show them this video on my Ipad.
"Citrus based cleanser" I use.
If you have So. Drawl. :)
The four horsemen 😂
Company policy requires I use bleach for liability and insurance purposes. Bam
We tell the customer on the phone willingly without them even asking that we use bleach. Never had a pushback. Probably because of the way my salesgirl words it upfront. I think like 6 or 7 years ago I had one request not to use bleach but sold them the job using bleach.
Thanks
Hey buddy thanks for sharing these videos. Quick question. I know pool chlorine is much stronger than bleach. Is Pool Corine recommended for roof or house jobs If I dilute it properly with water?
Pool chlorine is sodium hypochlorite
Same thing
Pool chlorine is 12.5% whereas household bleach is about 6%. You get more bang for your buck with pool chlorine.
....but they'll eat fruits and vegetables that have been sprayed with pesticides🤔🤔🥴🥴
Great video ,
I helped this older man who ask me to help him wash a house work for this older lady
He tells me if she ask what are we useing to clean the house ?.he told me never ever tell anyone your useing cloraen lol
I like this guy he isn't afraid to say no (politely of course but no)
Amén bruther
They don't realize they drink it! Haha Haha!
Commercial building, stucco, metal around top , black streaks would that be organic? if not what would you use
Barry Bennett yep that’s organic. SH will take care of it.
Southeast Softwash what mixture would you use on a metal mini storage building?
Lynn Hurst house mix. 1.5%
Do your dilute your SH tank with water also
I most definitely get this question from some customers asking what we use. Bleach is just a generic word for sodium hypochlorite, Sodium hypochlorite is actually the scientific name for bleach, I just basically tell them there’s three ingredients that we that we use for our cleaning solution which is sodium hypochlorite mixed with water and soap surfactants. From my experience when I tell them this they don’t question anymore and they don’t seem to be worried anymore
Power Washing Pros Inc. Lawrence Ashlin yep. That’ll usually be enough to end the conversation
I use baking soda and apple cider vinegar
I have been doing this since 96 . Back in the day none of my customers really cared about using bleach.
I used to buy the scented 6 % bleach at the grocery stores. They offered lemon scent and wildflower . Customers loved it. That was before I started buying 10 and 12 %
Times have changed. More customers are environmentally concerned. I still don't get asked that much what I use but it's occasionally comes up. If the SH question comes up " I say yes I do use it but it is diluted so much with the water its in a very weak amount. They are satisfied with that answer. I never talk about what I use unless they do ask, which is rare.
I just say special detergents. Say Chlorine instead of Bleach if u have to. Never show up at a job with the wrapper still on the bleach jugs. Take them off so it's just a plain white jug.
It's (bleach) ARMA approved (Asphalt Roofing Manufacturer Association)

Nope, I do not use bleach, I use Sodium hypo chloride ;)
I just explain that all of my chem is 100% biodegradable and will not hurt there plants or pets.
Until it does lol
Clorox.. Just tell them. They smell it anyways
LadyPlantz Alot actually it’s not Clorox. That’s a name brand.
Lots of times you done smell a bleach scent if you use a surfactant that has a cover scent built in.
7 little old ladies disliked
