The examples of the equipment were solid, but BRO, WRAP IT UP! You start explaining something and just settle into this long winded diatribe as though you are explaining the concept of a wheel or lever to a caveman. I literally nodded off and dropped my phone on my chest which startled me awake. Cut the length of video by 2/3 and actually thing about what you want to say before hand instead of just turning on the camera and blathering on till your truck runs out of water for the equipment!
Or perhaps it’s you that doesn’t understand that a quarter of a million people have watched this video in less than a year. And since my dislike to like ratio is 3.7% I’m satisfying the audience as a whole, not one random guy’s preference
Maybe you don’t understand that I’ve been teaching this stuff to literally a couple thousand folks in the last couple years at my class.
What I know and you don’t (since you’ve had a UA-cam channel for 2 days, no videos, and no subscribers) Is that people all over the world with varying levels of knowledge are going to watch this video. And so, instead of answering a ton of questions in the comments section for the next 5 years, I try to be very very thorough and cover every possible thing I can.
Since my business is going to do over 5 million this year, and my UA-cam channel pays me over 1,000 a month, I’ll just keep doing what I’m doing.
Thanks for the feedback tho 😎
@@southeastsoftwash4020 you do you man, but I think he has a point. kutos to you for your success, although we do live in a generation of instant gratification. shorter videos will get you more views and returning viewers. in turn more money from youtube. Dont gotta do 3 min videos yet the 20min kinda turns people off. that guy wasn't too polite about it but he has a point, ya know? Im in college and marketing/media classes stress this truth! keep up the good work. love the info
you should do a video on the chemicals you use for each job! Cant seem to find a good video on it
@@michaelkunka160 there is a place for short videos. And I’ve got plenty of those.
There’s also a need for full length content.
My main objective isn’t growing UA-cam channel, but growing my main business.
If a dude is and just about making vids, then yes you are right.
If your trying to dominate a industry then long form content is going to play its role.
@@michaelkunka160 I have that. It’s on my website. A full length training class.
southeastsoftwash.com/product/softwash-101-training-video/
As a DIY man who sometimes refers to UA-cam for advice, I can say you covered more things than about 80% of UA-cam. Great video
It is greatly appreciated.
Definitely some good, free content.
As a content creator we appreciate comments like this ☺️ I to invested in a pressure washer
As a beginner, we can’t afford a tank for runoff water. What do I do then ?
I learned this the hard way. I used a surface cleaner to do a whole driveway and then went back and washed the dirt off. Well it took longer because the dirt had settle back. Now I do it in sections and its a lot easier. This is a great tip for anyone do this out there.
According to Doc no need to pretreat or use any chemicals. He is the self proclaimed expert in every thing. He even tells you which pressure washer you need. I use 2000 psi at 6 gpm and get great results.
One of the best (and actually informative) videos I have seen. Thank you for not being one of the countless masses that treat a video as an infomercial for selling all their products and courses. I know it is an older video, but damn. So much better than the rest.
I love and respect the fact you actually take the time needed to break everything down. As a new entrepreneur in the pressure washing business this what was needed.
I didn’t think I was gonna watch this all cause I’m on the fence about starting pressure washing but it was so engaging that i watched it all. He literally covered almost everything i need to know about maintaining gear/equipment, what gear to get, how to not damage property, how to repair damages, how to route water flow, settings for equipment, tips and tricks, and it’s all necessary information.
Excellent, Comprehensive, and Informative.
😂😂😂 Looks like a water spout behind you at 1:08.....
Coty, I dont think you guys fully comprehend how many lives you've affected. I'm 44, and married with three young daughters. In 2013 I nearly broke my back while deadlifting, and for the last 10 years Ive been a stay at home dad. I literally prayed for God to show me a way to provide for my girls, and a few days later I started running across softwashing and pressure washing videos. As of now, I've already purchased most of the equipment to plumb out my trailer, bought and LLC and insurance, and I'm about to sell my Challenger to stay afloat while we get moving. I never in a million years would've imagined myself being capable of running my own business with a busted back. Thank you, Coty! You guys on here showing men how to create wealth is an absolute ministry from God..... You're saving households from homelessness..... Thank you, brother! My girls are my life, bro. Thank you!
Good intentions. How did it go then, as a business.?
This is probably the most informational video for pressure washing like this I've seen. Who cares how long it is because if it's teaching/informing more info is better than too little.
Absolutely the BEST concrete driveway pressure washing video on UA-cam - Great Job and THANK YOU! Extremely professional facilitation of the entire cleaning process!
Thanks! I tried to make it a solid video
A true professional. Thank you for shooting this. Worth subscribing as I know your content will be on point and easy to follow.
Fantastic timing as I’m cleaning my first driveway tomorrow! Thanks a million, great content and knowledge!
You really did an amazing job covering so many points. Keep us the good work, wish I live around you!
Great pre inspection tips and explanation of how you do what you do from beginning to the end. You definitely need to find any problems and record them, via video and/or photos and notify the owner. You have a new subscriber.
As someone who has only power washed his home with a wand I'm very impressed with you knowledge and overall professionalism. I will be changing to a surface cleaner, particularly on my pavers. Thanks for taking the time to make this
I don't understand why 1,000 people can like your videos. Then one person or a few people dislike something. The person will change their will to meet the negative people. I personally love your videos. The only reason he disliked the length is because he already knows the information you were saying.
I on the other hand did not. Which is why I watch all your videos, their full length. I say keep doing you. Very good information here. And because of your information. I took that and learned, just finished a $22,000 parking lot. My 3rd job as a company. Bro, THANK YOU!!!
Thanks for this video man. Wow!! You answered a ton of questions and gave some great tips for beginners and intermediates.
I’m trying to get a 4 GPM unit right now so I’m really glad that’s what you were using. And it worked great! So I appreciate that. Definitely saving this video.
That was pretty cool that you gave business advice, you are obviously confident with your quality and customer service.
The high pressure ball valve is a good tip, thanks. Appreciate your time making this video.
WOAH thanks you so much for the VERY detailed video! Best one I’ve seen so far! Keep it up!
Thanks for the info. Very informative. I just expanded my business to include pressure washing so videos like this definitely shorten the learning curve of the finer points to the art.
Been thinking about a business doing this since I've been shut down as a chef. Awesome instructional video Southeast Softwash
Great video. Its so satisfying to see the contrast while its cleaning the concrete.
Thank you again for such valuable and detailed information. You really have helped me a great deal in my business. I really appreciate it.
Smart idea with passing twice over the same spot, really smart idea with the high-pressure ball valve!!! Make that money bro!! 💪
Great video. I’ll use this for new employee training !
I thought the same thing.
lol
That was a good video. Informative, to the point, and full of useful tips.
Thanks for the great through information. Here's a good tip: ignore any negative comments. There's aways a hater. Please don't waste your time. Don't even respond. What your doing is excellent. Thanks again!!!!!
I have been a pressure washing contractor in the Northeast since 1988. Although it is now more of a sideline play money thing I still try to pay attention. Recently my son has finally started to express interest in this field. Sometimes dad‘s explanations and speaking mannerisms don’t exactly come out right so I’ve tried to find him some UA-cam explanations. Sir, you do an outstanding! Job showing and explaining your equipment, your solutions, your methods and the reasons why. If I had had you to teach me back in the early days you would’ve saved me a lot of headaches. Hopefully you can do the same for my son? Thank you for your well thought out and put together videos. Aqualazer Tim
Hi from New Zealand, great vids im setting up a new soft wash business and you advise and information has been very helpful thanks heaps.
nicely done! and thanks for the tips on things to look out for. I am just getting my trailer set up. Pressure Pro 5.5 gallon and surface cleaner. looking forward to adding this service to my remodel contracting business.
This is the video that stopped me from being the $99 guy!.....In Jan of 2021 I decided to start up a side hustle....I was going to buy me a pressure washer and throw it in the back of the truck and make a few extra bucks on the weekends..........But I decided to do a little research first.......this is the first video I came across.......I knew NOTHING about soft washing......This video intrigued me to dig a little deeper........long story short......I watched many more of your videos and discovered Mike Vidan and Aaron Parker along the way.........I still only do this part time, but I built a soft wash trailer and been learning ever since!!.....Thank you for all the helpful videos..........Looking forward to joining your in class training soon!...........HOOTIE...OUTLAW POWER WASH
Extremely well done. Answered questions I didnt know to ask yet. Appreciate the instructor demeanor instead of the street thug homeboy presentation. Very professional.
Appreciate the knowledge brother! Bout to order a BE 20inch and was a little nervous about running one with at 4gpm.. this sealed the deal! and I know what to expect and what tips to use! Thanks again! Hopefully I can catch one of your training's one day, and get me a badass skid!
did you ever order teh surf cleaner (20"). are you happy with it and which tips worked best for concrete? i assume 25025. i am looking at a BE 4gpm 4000 psi press washer. not cheap but great unit
Very informative - you covered a lot that other pressure wash sites don't. Thanks
Thank you bro. You represent American Brotherhood. I will never step on your toes.
Doing a ton of research before I go out and start my own business. Thank you for all the helpful information! Keep it up
Quick question. I’m running into trouble trying to get ahold of 12.5 SH. Any advice on generic places to get it or is online gonna be my best bet?
@@tgator8631 I always use 10.5% Sh which is still highly effective. I usually go to my local pool supply store.
Thank you for the video! This helped me see that there is much more to pressure washing concrete than what I initially thought. I’m currently doing neighborhood pressure washing with my beat up Honda 3.6 GPL and a small surface cleaner, but looking to get a modest setup (less than what you have), but that will allow me to more effectively clean concrete.
Thanks again!
I love how detailed you were al in one video! Def helpful for someone like me just trying ti get started!
I am just starting out with a Dewalt 3300 PSI and a 18" surface cleaner. Your instructional video was quite helpful. Thank you very much.
Well, as a professional troll, I feel attacked. Great job though! I was looking for some good info for my driveway and you hit everything I needed to know.
You must of mistaken your bridge as a driveway?
I just started my own pressure cleaning Business in Australia, love your set up im running a small trailer atm but Im aiming for your type of set up..Nice ;)
Are you in Gold Coast?
@@ellam2490 no Townsville
Great video and I'm amazed how fast you work. Also, the rural, southern scenery is a spitting image of the scenery in southern Indiana where I grew up.
Great advice honestly especially about reporting the damage beforehand 👍👍👍
How to pressure wash 101:
Step 1: park on someone’s grass
Step 2: put some green lense glasses on and getter done
Step 3: tell the customer what’s up before they do
How do you keep chemicals that run down the driveway from going into the street, hence possibly going down the drain down the street? Also what's a good way to find the low spots on a surface that looks flat? And lastly, can you just wet the grass outside of a sidewalk or driveway prior to using the pre-treatment and it'd be covered in the aspect of being safe if a little overspray got onto the grass? Great video! I'm starting out and am watching as many videos as I can and yours is pretty thorough. I only have a 3.5 gallon 3,800 psi machine to start with, knowing I will need something better later down the road but that's what I have. Thanks
Here I am watching these and still getting ideas! Turing the ball valve down while surface cleaning! Never thought of that! Anyone who wants to better their company never gets complacent with thinking they know it all! Thanks for the detailed video!!
Thanks for all insights. You offered us all your hard lesson for free. Wish you to have more leads...!!!
Cheers...🎉
Question about water runoff if you’re doing a driveway that’s on a hill how do you prevent the water from leaving the property
if its only clean water then it doesn’t matter, only if you are using chemicals you need to collect it
you put a picture of chuck norris at the property line , DUH !!!
@@aidanwilkiewicz7109 yes but I think he's asking, HOW do you collect it? It's a question I have as well. A vacuum of some kind?
Question. The post treatment? Can u explain what u put down and how u would explain to the home order. Thanks southern dawg for your time
He said what it was. Give them a honest and professional answer
Post treatment "SH" BLEACH!
I need to listen better I take it. I did listen at the end again n by gally there it was. Thanks for all the advise. Sort and sweet I like ya
Thanks Coty. Boom 💥 there it is! Get after guys and glas!
Cody I really appreciate the knowledge and skill that you share with us. Thank you sever much.
“If you’re a troll, go ahead and leave a comment, down in the comment section” 😂🤣😂
Do Troll's even have computers. they live in caves. still good video.
Really disappointed at the lack of Trolling going on here! LOL!
You should do a how to take a before and after picture video. It would be useful for a couple reasons, you could throw a jab in there. I swear it is the hardest part of the job for me, my pics are bad.
ant banks lol. I really should
As always great job. Also great job explaining!
This was a great video! Very informative. Thank you, you've earned yourself a subscriber!
On hot sunny days I'll pre-wet before I pre-treat, so the pre-treat chems don't just soak in and dry-up.
I've been pressure washing on/off, but without any formal training (usually just helping people out). What's the advantages of pre-treating vs. no treatment? Does it help the surface cleaner to clean faster, does it remove stains that a surface cleaner might not get on its own??
@@jfalters The advantage of pretreating is that it kills the organic growth before removing it with the pressure washing. Without at least doing pre-treatment or post-treatment, the organic growth (the black stuff) is just being washed away and the residual that's left behind will grow back and make the pressure washing job not last as long. If I do my driveway without any SH, I have black streaking within a few months and by the next year it looks like the whole driveway has never been cleaned. With SH I typically won't get any streaking, but the whole driveway slightly darkens as it causes the organic growth to start its life cycle from the beginning, if that makes sense. I do my concrete once a year, since using SH it doesn't look bad after a year, but is still noticeably dirty when I start cleaning it. Short answer is treatment gives better, more even and longer lasting results.
Took Southeast training well worth the money
Great video. Thanks from Newcastle, UK.
You cover so much information on your videos! Thanks for teaching me so much🙏🏼
Nice video!! I will be cleaning SOON when my trailer is ready!!
My dad and my self are in the process of starting our own pressure washing business and while he knows some things I don't know almost any of it. This is the second video of yours I've watched and have heard and seen things I would have never thought about. You just earned another subscriber.
Thank you for respecting the trade and your audience sir. Excellent video, breaking things down Barney Style! I'll happily watch this again, to make sure that this is where, my business's bar is set. Stay well.
Very thorough and informative. Awesome work
We love our surface cleaner! Might post a video using it this weekend.
That’s what I’m talking about this is exactly the video I’ve been looking for. Very thorough and detailed I watched the whole video.! Keep making more
Great video man! You answered most of my questions about the process. I hope to get my first paying account this time next year. I'm going to learn, practice, and save money until then.
Great tutorial...
And awesome job!!
Thanks for the video and actually telling us the cost! Most people are to afraid to even talk about the costs. Good price too!
Wish I saw this before yesterday! Spent 8 hours pressure washing a driveway the old fashioned way. It kicked my ass!! Lol 😆! On the bright side it was a beautiful day!! Live and learn i always say.
Cheers for the share mate. Got a pressure washing business in Sydney, Australia and your method is spot on.
Thanks for the video, lots of great points. I'm a lawn service provider in Florida looking/learning to provide pressure washing on our slow season, thanks
Very informative. I learn every time I watch one of your videos. Thanks for sharing. You should do a business kit that you could sell for those not able to get to you. I would buy it.
Amazing job. I have done a great deal of high pressure washing. Im new to the soft wash scenario. Thanks for the education and insight.
You are a good teacher. Liked all the details they are very helpful. Thanks.
I love this guy. Salt of the earth hard worker.
Looking forward to getting our new skid. Thanks for the help and instruction. I learn something new every day!
very good video with the ppe and the water flowing out into the streets. subbed
Great tutorial! Thank you for the explanation on the tips. No one talks about that. About the "violence" when clogged or worn. Pace of your walk was definitely evident. Again thank you.
Thanks for the tips and great job!
This is a great video. This video is a teaching video. I found this video very helpful and in depth look on how to do this job. A lot of people don't give this much info so you then have to look for more video on this subject. You pack it all in one video. Great job!
Great video!.. we just started our own pressure cleaning business and this are great tips!
Pensacola, Florida here. I pressure wash my patios, porches and driveways about once a year. Sometimes with pre-treat and sometimes not. Still learned a lot watching the video as to why my rig acts the way it does. Time to get a new spray rig due to probably worn out tips!
You deserve more subs, great content Cody.
Just bought a Simpson 4000psi 4gpm pressure washer yesterday off market place cheap. Ordering a 4000psi 4gpm hotsy belt drive tomorrow. Just bought that same surface cleaner. Loved watching your video. 💪
Good video, thanks for uploading. Stopping the water running off the property onto the highway must be a nightmare on some jobs. We don’t have the same problem in the UK because the water from the road doesn’t always run to a into a drainage system.
I'm NOT a troll :) But I DO want to say what a GREAT video, and THANK YOU! I've got a 1500', stamped concrete driveway that needs doing, and this has been a big help! Thanks again.
AWESOME video. Thanks to you, I just ordered a ball valve connector for my hose. Cleaning my driveway and other things has went from easy to easier..... Thanks my friend.
Going to add driveway and sidewalk cleaning to my services in 2022. Currently a carpet and floor cleaner. Great value in this video!
I never even thought of runoff. I hardly hear anyone talking about that or having a machine to take up water that’s flowing off the driveway. Good tip
Damn what an in depth video. All bases were covered.
Excellent presentation. Very informative. Great camera work too. So many youtube videos have horrible cam work or bad audio. Yours is one of the best.
Thanks for the video, I enjoyed the fact that you showed the surface cleaner in action.
I came here to learn more about doing this for my home. Love that you had this set up with reccomendactions for business owners. Great info.
This is the best and most through video on driveways. I'm just starting and until I get better equipment, sticking with flat surfaces for the time being
By far the best advice for a professional LLC! No weekend warrior knowledge here!
Great vid, mate. I’m an Aussie and I appreciate your work and your information! Thanks.
Superb video, am just adding pressure washing as a service within my cleaning business in the Uk and can honestly say I learn’t more in that 20 mins of watching the vid than in the last six months
Thank u for the information my dad just started a softwashing and window cleaning @Legacy Window Cleaning so I'm learning a lot from u.
What a great video! Exactly what I needed with the kind of insights and lessons learned only a seasoned practitioner could offer.
