I saw Roger in Bath on Monday. I nearly fell off the circle balcony when I heard him singing. Why the hell is Adam Lambert still poncing about with Queen when this guy is real rock and roll and not musical theatre? When Warren starting singing Freddie’s intro to Prime Jive I thought Mercury had been reincarnated. And Rog’s voice is still amazing. 72 years old. Phenomenal.
Everyone forgets what a great singer Roger is. It's hard to shine as a vocalist when the greatest rock vocalist of all time is the front man of your band.
he lost some high notes, but that does not take anything away from Roger his performance. Love it, although Freddie could take any song to another level. He does a great job here with his song. Roger ages very well!
@@haythijs I think the same with Brian May singing too much love will kill you. Freddie gave the song a different meaning but Brian's version is still brilliantly moving
I'd love to hear his 2021 "Galileo"..! Come to think about it, the first 4 queen albums were full of Rogers falsetto, but none after A Night at the Opera... He must have blown his voice out with all those vocal takes. The cigarettes, vodka, and cocaine probably didn't help much either.
it's funny because if you google 'Rod Stewart and Roger Taylor' one of the photos is of those two in the same room with fairly similar hair and they're the only ones wearing sunglasses indoors.
Roger stále krásný chlap i ve vyšším věku kamarád Freddieho charismatický člověk s modrýma očima a chlapeckým úsměvem chci se s vámi jednou se všemi sejít ❤😂😂
I wonder what memories this evokes in Roger when he's singing? Looking out across the stage, seeing the Freddie, and the tens of thousands of people watching Queen?! Things they've done as a band, the people, the places they've been.
Queen was/is a band full of extraordinary talent. Roger's voice is amazingly present throughout all of Queen's work . His solo vocal efforts for the band has given Queen fans some little gems not often heard by the general masses , e.g Tenement Funster. and here he is singing a song that I believe he penned. Really like this version. ...... Just give me an open car and some RMT tunes!
I have been fortunate enough to see Queen live six times with Freddie … Roger was always the backbone of the vocals for Freddie. I saw Roger many years ago when he toured the UK… His voice now is nowhere near as good as it used to be…but to me ..He is a GOD…
Man, my tears are just accidentally droped when the guitarist start to fill in.. this song is so great... The chords, and the harmony in this song are amazing... feels so emotional everytime i hear this song... this is masterpiece, one of the greatest Queen's recording,, long live roger,, stay happy and stay healthy,
Amazing ...So so so Great... I changed the lyrics for a cover song as Space Boy on YT.... just a bit of fun 'Shop at Wembury Stores' ... Queen fans have been so great! ... thanks.
What a lovely feeling I'm left with after watching that. I first saw Roger Taylor on Swap Shop on Saturday morning TV in the 70s and he was as remarkably stunning then as he is now. He's never changed. All through my life that man has just bloody oozed talent and charisma. That voice, the songs he's written not to mention his drumming prowess. Roger Taylor is a Rock God and it's really great to see him and this great band kicking it out. I hope they tour.
What a great performance. It brought me to tears. In Freddie's absence, Roger is the right person to sing it. In fact, he was the composer of this song.
Bless you Roger... forever putting an end to any old, stupid jokes about drummers writing songs. This is just a fantastic piece of music. And a fantastic performance. While seeing Spike Edney on keys is always an extra gift, I want tip my hat to the entire band. This did put a huge smile on my face. Thank you!
Группа Queen - сокровище мировой музыкальной культуры. Нам невероятно повезло быть современниками этих великолепных музыкантов, и бесконечно жаль Фредди.
How many people actually realised that it was Roger who who originally wrote Radio Gaga? The story behind it was that he was playing with one of his children who at the time was still very young & just learning to talk and they kept saying Radio Ca-ca which was then Roger's inspiration to pen the song. Which was then recorded to their album The Works but of course the performance that really elevated it to what we know so well today was Live Aid.

Seen Roger and the band in Cardiff Wednesday night and it was outstanding!!! Absolute pleasure to see them play and a huge thank you for a great night. ❤
I’ve always loved Roger’s voice. This is amazing!. The first time I listened to his singing was in “The Loser in the End”. I love Queen II, that was the first album I ever bought from the band back in ‘86 when I was 12.
this is so fantastic! great to see such a diverse group having so much fun performing. I wasn’t alive to appreciate Queen at their peak but the timelessness of their music is extraordinary.
I ve been listening to Queen since they hit the scene in the early 70's and I think Rogers Voice is better than ever!! Love you Roger! Solid Band too!!!
❤ Cosmic rendition, what an energy!!! well done Roger n the band. :) Im sure Freddie would immidiately jump to your studio and sing with all of you.....😊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
A Drummer with a better singing voice than most lead singers.

@@loretime I have been wondering the same thing. I'm like "Dudes! You have a singer right behind you, and you pick Adam Lambert? Really?!
@@gemini2012100 theoretically they have 2 singers, Brian and Roger so no need for Adam
@@einShawn I agree. I've heard Roger sing, but I don't know if I've heard Brian sing, not the lead anyway. I knew he sang backup on some songs.
@@gemini2012100 I‘m not sure either bit he sang the Bridge part from I want it all and nowadays love of my life etc
Roger’s voice is criminally underrated
I've heard so many people say that so I don't think it's true
He's similar to Rod Stewart, but Queen.
Do you actually believe that. Because Roger is one of the most famous vocalists of the 70s/80s 😂😭🥱
Its never been under-rated, its always been the heart of Queen
Stop using the word underrated incorrectly.
When Roger forgot to sing after the first chorus it got a bit emotional for me because it felt that he was waiting for Freddie to start singing.....
A similar situation happened to Brian May at the tribute concert to Freddie!! Greetings from Argentina!
It's like just muscular memory kicking in, can't help it even after so many years.
Me too😢
aww man he did 😭 i cant watch this no more thats too sad 😭😭😭😭😭
I hope Roger is still in love with his car....
What a voice.

Roger still sounds good 👍
Great singer. Had first listen to his latest album today. Very impressed.
Singing such high notes at the age of, what, 72? is such a great feat. His voice stayed so similar through the ages that it's insane.
I have always found Roger's voice very similar to Rod Stewart's, wonderful perfomance
Sooo true!
indeed
Less annoying than Rod Stewart's though.

Love Roger but that would be Don Henley
I love Phil Collins :P

Dean Castronovo anyone?
Peter Criss.
Brilliant to see these fantastic young musicians playing this classic with the legend Roger Taylor!

@Roger Taylor I live in Falmouth, Cornwall, but lived for a short while in St. Agnes in 1965.

Rogers voice is amazing espeically during his prime he could easily be the lead singer in any other band
Tenement Funster and Sheer Heart Attack are two of his absolute masterpieces.
Roger has amazing vocal talent. Most people don’t know that because as I heard someone else say, “Freddie Mercury’s voice is just cheating”
@@zachlewis9751 Freddie Mercury was just god's way of showing off!

That same beautiful voice which helped Freddie for some many times during this wonderful song at the live shows...
Rog should've actually sang more lead during their time with Freddie...would've helped him tremendously with his vocal nodules for sure!
