yes. I always feel a bit sorry for Rog and Bri because they must always relive Freddie's death every bleeding interview! We all loved Freddie, he was amazing, but, ya know...Rog and Bri and John are all amazing too. John has taken himself out of the industry, fair enough, but Brian and Roger are still there bring us music and joy and I want to hear about THEM! Roger is so cool and smart and funny. Brian is in a league of his own, so kind and caring. LOVE them both to bits.
I don't think of it as being beleaguered to talk a bit about Freddie. What an insult. They were a fantastic band. It was an honor to know and to have been a friend of Freddie's.
@@janethuegerich6579 It's not necessarily an insult. It just must be nice for them to be able to talk about themselves for once, rather than have to constantly bring up Freddie's death. (Kinda like being the middle child, if that makes sense.)
Queen... What a life those guys have had. They're like astronauts. Their career is like having gone to the moon and having come back. They know things none of us will ever know. How does it feel to play in front of 150 000 people adoring you and your music ?
On the off-chance you read the comments Roger, "Thank you" for everything. You're a legend and a true gent...and you made a lot of people very happy....
Roger is lovingly outspoken in a very proper way. Just lures you in, like a good story teller should. And still very easy on the eyes. Good chat gents.
Yeah, there's something incredibly laid back about him ... until ... he lasers in (you can see it in his eyes) he's been listening to every word, and then he talks, And you have to listen because first, he's right, and second, he's Roger Taylor. Love the guy.
I just love listening to Roger talk. He tells it like it is. A great man who has done and still does great things!! Thank you for sharing your gift with us.

The dynamic of these two guys who have been friends for such a long time telling the story of being a band in that Era is really cool. Their hilarious and fun to listen to! Thanks for the interview.
Great video. I’ve been a Queen & Roger fan for ages . Still listening to his solo lp . A really nice way to see inside this , “behind the scenes” world . Thank you & God bless
What a cracking interview. I have been a Queen fan since childhood, managed to see them live with Freddie 7 times and once with Adam Lambert, all great shows. I took a liking to Roger's music and vocals and bought "Fun in Space" when it was released in May 1981, still one of my fave albums of all time. Roger always comes across as just a regular, funny, top bloke. Roger's latest album is also a corker "Outsider". Such a talent, but a very modest man. I'd love to share a beer with him someday! This really was a pleasure to watch, thank you for posting this.
I have been a Queen fan for around 48 years seen the band with Freddie 6 times and would not see them with Adam as he is a trash American Idol nobody. Rogers best ever album is "Fun In Space" by miles followed by "Strange Frontier" after that it was down hill and his latest album is dire as far as i am concerned.
@@gedbill4058 Nice person you are Ged, sorry to disappoint but AL will go down in Queen's history as their second frontman after Fred, because of Adam, Queen (now QAL) are more popular than ever bringing their music to a younger generation, people like you Ged should be ashamed of yourself, Brian and Roger are still Queen and now because of QAL Freddie will never be forgotten, if you don't like go and dig out your old LP's and enjoy.
🍀ROGER IS GREAT! HE looks great and talks great, аnd the same rock and roll star guy!!!, thank you very much! Health, long happy years and creativity to ROGER🌹
Great chat, as a budding 13 year old drummer I played Brighton Rock til the record grooves wore out, trying to figure out what Roger was playing. Very influential drummer.
All this talk about Roger, which is fair enough, but Jim Cregan is a legend too. His contribution to a lot of other people's songs is often overlooked. He was in Family to begin with, a grossly underrated band, then, as mentioned, in Steve Harley's Cockney Rebel where he played that superb solo in "Make Me Smile." He also co-wrote a lot of the better Rod Stewart songs back when he was still doing real rock and roll. His solo in "I Was Only Joking" is superb. He also worked with Katie Melua, London Quireboys and a stack of other artistes. I'm a Roger fan, but let's not overlook Jim Cregan, he's a very talented and successful guitarist and producer.
Silly me but I love knowing his friends really do call him just "Rog"... he's got a great whit... like his apology to Jim: " I must have had an attack of loveliness " love that he still looks so good & younger than he is ... awww... these Queen men are in my heart forever.
Thank you gentlemen. I loved hearing all the great stories. So many of us would have loved to be a fly on the wall during all these great moments. Thanks for allowing us to do so.
Great interview. The topic around 20 mins in, if the band are genuine and are having fun that’s what the audience want to see, a great show doesn’t have to be the slickest show. Cheers
My favourite about Under Pressure I remember hearing was that apparently John Deacon came up with the bass line while they were jamming, then broke for lunch or whatever, and when they came to back to work some more on the song, he had forgotten what it was! Fortunately, it came back to him, as they say, but can you imagine coming up with THAT intro, and then not remembering like a couple hours later?
Me encanta la banda Queen y Roger Taylor es muy buen baterista músico talentoso hasta la actualidad .Agradecería que las entrevistas también fueran traducidas al español para los fans latinos un saludo muy grande a todos 👋😘
I have had the privilege of watching Roger Taylor live and he reminded me of Nico McBrain in the same respect as in, they both look like they are doing fu@kall but absolutely smashing it. Only because what they do appears effortless. Hands up, I am a drummer but I live in that real world that these gents left a long time ago. It amazes me that drummers like RT, Nico & Nick Mason are so underrated as one could not exist without the other and they are almost all victims of that less is more prerogative. I’m clearly biased but I’m not wrong. Brilliant drummer!!
I completly agree with roger about the drum sounds in radio gaga and I want to break free. Those are my two of my favourite Queen songs but I have always thought that I prefer Live versions of them than the studio ones because they feel a bit 'dead' with all those synth sounds. I wish they'd made a remaster using real Roger's drums and Brian's guitar sound. Great interview. Thank you for this!
That band just drips w/talent and genius! How is it possible for Roger to get sexier and sexier as the years go by? I don't know, & I don't care! He's still my heart throb!! Hahahahah! "Yes, kids, Granny has a heart throb! He's been her heart throb for 48 years, and Grandpa is ok w/that, so mind your business!!"

Roger has aged so well. He still sounds like a young man. Handsome still. The stories that he must have and will never tell?
He was a very good boy! Alas, time is running out!
He'd look even better if he'd stop binge drinking. A bottle of white wine a day is nothing to him
What an enjoyable interview. So many profound insights from two British men of class, intelligence, and skill. Heck, three British men.
