As someone who went to Studio 54, the Embassy Club and Heaven and loved getting down to the best early garage style late disco of 1979-1982 I rate this mix as one of the most introxicating dance floor classics to take you to a higher plane ever concocted!!!

It´s not often I comply with new housy mixes of great 80´s pop music, but this is was actually alright. I have never however understood the hiphop connection and Scritti Politti, to me that band is a brilliant new wave / new romantics project with a hint of synthesized groove. They stood on their own feet when it came to originality cause they managed to blend all theses disciplines very successfully. Cupid & Psyche 85 is on of the ten best albums of all times in my book.
This is quality work - so many remixes are oversimplified and boring - this does exactly what it should - rearranges the music to a slightly different genre. Helps that it's already a dance song to start with. 5 starred and favourited.

You've done really well here mate! I nearly always found the Scritti Politti remixes disappointing and preferred the original Lp or 7" versions. I strongly suspect Mr. Gartside himself would approve of this.
