This album was my late brother Phillips best ever album way back in 1988 on release we wore out 331/3 rpm lying 3 months we were encapsulated with FIRST BOY IN TOWN AND OH PATTI
Wonderful remix of one of my favourite groups that emerged in the 80s. What I really love is that many of their compositions from back then... still sound good ...'cause the typical 80s harsh percussion doesn't sound overdone like much of the music of my twenties. THIS TASTEFUL REMIX IS AWESOME 🎵♥️🔥👊🏾
What a slap! What an energy! and measured, calibrated and orchestrated with TALENT. No, the appropriate term here is GENIE. I am amazed to see that there are no limits to their creativity and sweetness, they switch to Beats which are pure marvels of musical creation.GREEN GARTSIDE is a genius of the same water as PADDY McALOON and it's really a shame that their talents are not valued at their own value especially when we compare to the current production, in general.Whatever, We love it and it is not for tomorrow that We will stop listening their FABULOUS compositions. Thank you, the ARTISTS.
I had the same reaction, friend, it's BOMB. Nothing to do with the free deluge, monotone, seen and reviewed bass of tasteless "songs" which NRJ and FUN RADIO get us drunk all day on the air (I reassure you right away, I do not listen to this style of music without much interest) ...
I was just listening to this song the other day and was hoping someone had done a remix like this, because I felt like there was only ONE thing missing. And you found it!
I love your remixes looey76 but I think the file is way too compressed. It "pumps" in an overextended manner making the sound go back and forth. It destroys the sound.
[Verse 1] Gonna get that girl and show her the time of my life Gonna get that girl and show her the end of the world Maybe I'll be the one thing she needs when I've found her (And worn your world away) Gonna get that girl and show her the time of my life Gonna get that girl and show her the end of the world She could be free of all that she sees when I've found her (And worn her world away) [Chorus] We'll believe now in nothing at all Nothing compares with the love of the one for All we are now and ever could be Somewhere the forces of love come to disagree [Verse 2] Gonna give that girl a present that never arrives Gonna give that girl a future that's hard to believe Maybe I'll be the one thing she needs when I've found her (And worn your world away) Gonna give that girl a present that never arrives Gonna give that girl a future that's hard to believe She could be free of all that she sees when I've found her (And worn her world away) [Chorus] We'll believe now in nothing at all Nothing compares with the love of the one for All we are now and ever could be Somewhere the forces of love come to disagree [Guitar solo] [Chorus repeats] We'll believe now in nothing at all Nothing compares with the love of the one for All we are now and ever could be Somewhere the forces of love come to disagree (All that we are now) Nothing compares with the love of the one for (All that we are now) Somewhere the forces of love come to disagree We'll believe now in nothing at all Nothing compares with the love of the one for All we are now and ever could be Somewhere the forces of love come to disagree We'll believe now in nothing at all Nothing compares with the love of the one for All we are now and ever could be Somewhere the forces of love come to disagree
it's called side chain compression where a compressor is slaved to a midi signal which in most cases is the kick drum so the rest of the mixed is pushed down when the kick sounds, gives it a "pumping" effect
THIS is what I would have put on the Voyager 1 golden disk. Just imagine some alien civilization 1000s of light years away listening to this stuff. I get goosebumps just thinking about it. voyager.jpl.nasa.gov/spacecraft/goldenrec.html
I've often thought about stuff like this. Scritti def would have been right up there as a choice to represent! I read an article once that asked celebs what they would take with them if they were ever stranded on a desert island. Madonna responded once that she would take Scritti.
Was just checking back to see if there was an uncompressed version out yet? I can convert to a playable file but was hoping. Message me if there is one available at some point, Thank you

Any hope of getting this as an mp3? Love it. Would love to see this released along with a whole remix of this album and their Cupid & Psych 85 album.

[Verse 1]
Gonna get that girl and show her the time of my life
Gonna get that girl and show her the end of the world
Maybe I'll be the one thing she needs when I've found her
(And worn your world away)
Gonna get that girl and show her the time of my life
Gonna get that girl and show her the end of the world
She could be free of all that she sees when I've found her
(And worn her world away)
[Chorus]
We'll believe now in nothing at all
Nothing compares with the love of the one for
All we are now and ever could be
Somewhere the forces of love come to disagree
[Verse 2]
Gonna give that girl a present that never arrives
Gonna give that girl a future that's hard to believe
Maybe I'll be the one thing she needs when I've found her
(And worn your world away)
Gonna give that girl a present that never arrives
Gonna give that girl a future that's hard to believe
She could be free of all that she sees when I've found her
(And worn her world away)
[Chorus]
We'll believe now in nothing at all
Nothing compares with the love of the one for
All we are now and ever could be
Somewhere the forces of love come to disagree
[Guitar solo]
[Chorus repeats]
We'll believe now in nothing at all
Nothing compares with the love of the one for
All we are now and ever could be
Somewhere the forces of love come to disagree
(All that we are now)
Nothing compares with the love of the one for
(All that we are now)
Somewhere the forces of love come to disagree
We'll believe now in nothing at all
Nothing compares with the love of the one for
All we are now and ever could be
Somewhere the forces of love come to disagree
We'll believe now in nothing at all
Nothing compares with the love of the one for
All we are now and ever could be
Somewhere the forces of love come to disagree
I hate that fading in and out shit that's so popular in recent years

My ear drums are touching in the middle making my nose run and my eyes pop out in time to the music...very good if you have sinus problems
Was just checking back to see if there was an uncompressed version out yet? I can convert to a playable file but was hoping. Message me if there is one available at some point, Thank you
indeed it does, I didn't have a great sound setup when I did this mix so I had no idea of how overcompressed it is :(
Remix?.......
All your doing is turning the volume up and down!
Side chain compression is the expression that descibes this, but yeah the volume is going up and down ... Lol!
Mike Gordon _ No, sir. There’s a lot more going on here.
Mike, you say that like its a bad thing!
