These homeless people are not all druggys and alcoholics, they are people on social security that couldn't afford rent anymore, are evicted from their homes for illegals. People that got laid off and couldn't afford rent. Do your research, there's many videos out there to show you the truth.
I'm 36, never married, homeless since the pandemic, and living in an old Toyota Sienna minivan now, despite working, and not addicted to drugs.

@@TheVitamin421 Everyone thinks drugs are the problem. They're still a problem, but not as much as housing affordability. Many people turn to drugs after becoming homeless. Living on the streets is very depressing and stressful.

They refuse to go to shelters due to refusing to follow rules and / or stop doing drugs.
Over 90% of the homeless here in Ventura county are drug addicts and/or mentally ill as well as refusing to follow ANY rules in a shelter or rental assistance program.

How about getting a job? That’s how I and the majority of the community don’t live in a homeless camp. This is Newsom’s fault because he welcomed them to live on the streets of San Francisco and Los Angeles. If you don’t believe me fact check it.

There is a lady living on the streets in my town.. last week, it was over 105° here... I stopped to give her, and her dog water...She told me her husband passed away last year...they had no children, she has no family..they were retired...when she lost his SS she couldn't pay her rent anymore...no family to help...she and her dog ended up on the streets...😢...not sure what will happen to her..💔
You sound ignorant. It's rare that anyone will hire these people unless they have the access or money for new clothing, grooming, hygeine, etc.

My daughter, student, stayed in an expensive place. The building company HAD to take on some of those homeless. But guess what. They rapidly made the place stunk and when told to behave, they didn't. After two years of that, they told one of those to move out. But before he did, he put his room on fire! No kidding. Luckily the sprinklers worked. However, the apartment was totally smoke out. I totally agree that you need to help people in needs. It is very important we do. But they also need to make an effort too.

@@Network126you are one of the few that deserve assistance and support to find affordable accommodation. Majority of homeless don’t work and don’t want to they just want free everything paid for by others tax dollars. Also most have serious drug or substance addiction issues and or mental illness. Stay positive and keep working hard things will get better eventually

Most of them are insane or are pretty useless. Most are alcoholics or druggies, they aren't getting jobs anytime soon, lol. Just look at how they live.

1. We didn't have a homeless problem when I was young- up until the late 1980's. So this is a created situation- and not 'created' by the homeless- created by trickle down economics, wrecking unions, ending public housing, social service safety net bridges and mental health care. Homeless are the end game byproduct, whom they convince the ignorant to blame.
2. Iceland and Utah solved it's homeless problem for a lot less. How? They hired homeless people to build low cost housing, job training and mental health care. Poof- no more homeless.
The moment Utah said it solved its homeless issue other states sent droves of homeless people to Utah. It's not solved anymore. The majority of the aggressive/ criminal homeless people are from out of state. We're sick of the crime, drugs, harassment, they brought. They need to go.

The homeless doesn’t seem to care about their well-being. Why should I? They can take accountability for their lives. They can go to the unemployment line and get a freaking job, they can get off drugs and clean themselves up. The only reason they are in California is because it was so easy for them to live there now it’s not.

The ideal situation is where these homeless people are resettled in state-funded shelters (housing) away from the public gaze and are, simultaneously, provided vocational training (where applicable) and health services (where applicable). The burden, of course, must fall on the tax payers. The first duty of government is to care for the people by providing them basic social services when they are unable to help themselves.
Next , cut off thier benefits and food stamps!!!

These "homeless" people have spent their lives making one bad decision after another. They have not taken advantage of free education, drug treatment, etc. So WE, the taxpayers who have made GOOD decisions, got educated, got jobs, bought homes, are stuck with giving them the things WE work for?? NOPE. It's enough. If these hobos were serious, they'd spend their days of nothing to do to get an education and jobs.
Where do they stay so they can save for deposits, rent, electricity etc? Do you think it is easy to rent without references? Many people are homeless because of the economy, death of a spouse, wildfires, tornadoes, floods leaving them homeless. People that don't understand the challenges of getting out of homelessness, need to investigate, find solutions or stop talking. Not all homeless are addicts. You just don't see the Truth because you don't want to.

Mandated Homeless Hotels are needed for those that are living on the streets. Finland has a great example of these facilities for their Homeless. California has many empty buildings perfect for this use. Get people back on their feet again ( feeling whole again) before rehabbing those that are homeless because of drugs. California was given plenty of money to do this.
FYI every month our foster care system “ages out” hundreds of mentally ill, abused, children on their birthdays. Without family, money, medication, identification, education, access to medical services and alone. Tell me government would behave this way if every homeless person held a registered voter card? I think not. They have the ability but lack compassion, empathy, and desire. For those already suffering.
